9. Eul’s Scepter of Divinity

A good disable that causes minimal damage to enemies.

Skywrath is immensely powerful in an early game 1 vs.1 situation, especially if his net-worth is already ahead of most opponents and is hitting hard in his game. What this unit does, is simply disrupt an enemy’s movement long enough for Skywrath and/or for his allies to get into range, or reset ability cooldowns. Once in range, it is an easy finish.

8. Scythe Of Vyse

The fastest way of showing someone their worth for 3.5 seconds.

Having some sort of disable-item is always great, but what better than an item that completely nullifies your enemy. That is why many-a-times players prefer getting a Sheep's Stick (Scythe of Vyse) than any other item during late game team fights. Simply because, once transformed, all the victim can attempt to do, is slowly and desperately ‘BAAAAH!’ their way to safety, in a desperate attempt to escape the inevitable.

7. Force Staff

When personal space is 'mui importante' (Very Important). Make it happen with this.

Mobility is always an important factor for Skywrath Mage, even though he’s comparably faster than a few heroes at the least, giving him enough ability for a quick getaway is also a priority. No attack can disabler a Force Staff temporarily, what’s more, is that it can also be used in team fights, on an enemy or even friendly units.

What makes Force Staff Great for Skywrath Mage (As of patch 7.23)

  • It can be used on allied or enemy units.

6.Blink Dagger

Even people with wings prefer to teleport to places. It's clearly an advantage.

Movement is important, just like a Force Staff. However, a blink dagger offers Skywrath more range and more flexibility. Unlike a force staff, you do not need to forcibly look into a direction to get pushed there. A blink dagger lets you jump around and that kind of mobility can be super dangerous on Skywrath players with an aggressive playing style.

5. Ethereal Blade

For when your enemy thinks they can outlive your ultimate.

Magic damage is very important in every late-game situation. During this phase, keep in mind that you won’t be the only one with this item. However, to avoid melee (physical) attacks, most opponents will end up using it on themselves before they attempt to survive a little bit longer or run away. One of its primary reasons for use by an attacker, however, is the massive spell-damage amplification it provides.

What makes Ethereal Blade Great for Skywrath Mage (As of patch 7.23)

  • It provides massive spell-amplification.
  • It can be used on most dangerous enemy units, so they can’t ‘right-click’ attack. It can also be used by the wielder to avoid melee or ‘right-click’ (physical) attacks whilst dishing out hauntingly powerful magic attacks.

Item details (As of patch 7.23)

  • Grants +40 Agility
  • Grants +10 Strength

  • Reset Timer 20 Seconds
  • Range 800
  • Total Cost is 4700 Gold

If you enjoy spamming someone with magic, you're going to enjoy this.

A great late-game item to add to your arsenal, the Octarine core makes heroes more reliable during a team-fight. Reduced cooldowns will ensure more magic or skill-based attacks that will in most cases change the tide of battle drastically and within a few moments.

Extra health hurts nobody. Literally nobody, directly.

This item doesn’t kill a player anymore for a shorter respawn time, however, it will use 30% of the player’s current mana and regenerate HP that over time to the same 30% value. This is a great survivability tool for Dragonus now, however, it comes with a limited number of charges that only replenishes when an enemy hero is killed nearby.

What makes Bloodstone Great for Skywrath Mage (As of patch 7.23)

  • Heals Hit-Points for 2 seconds.

  • Lose 3 charges on death (passive)
  • Starts with 14 charges (passive)
  • 100+ mana regen amplification (passive)
  • Total Cost is 5250 Gold

1. Aghanim’s Scepter

For when you want to punish two 'bad bois' (or girls) at the same time.

Upgrade the power of your ultimate with this epic item to make you even more powerful during team fights. From the possibility of destroying just one hero at a time, you can now be a more powerful influence in a fight. However, staying alive once you’re that strong will be an issue since most heroes will try to take you down first.
So why not take down a few of them in return too?

What makes Aghanim’s Scepter Great for Skywrath Mage (As of patch 7.23)

  • Another Mystic Flare will be created on a random target without 700 range, heroes take priority.

Item details (As of patch 7.23)

  • Grants +10 All Attributes

2) Linken’s Sphere

If you're ADHD, this will help. I know because I'm ADHD.

Most opponents look to ambush Skywrath as he’s a very soft hero. One single confrontation and if you’re not great with Skywrath, he will be squashed. This is why a Linken’s Sphere is a worthy enough mention that will help you survive.

What makes Linken’s Sphere Great for Skywrath Mage (As of patch 7.23)

  • Great extra attributes.
  • Protects you from lethal ‘one-shot’ magic attacks.
