Claudette Morel, Self Caring in a Corner

[Top 5] Dead By Daylight Best Claudette Morel Builds

Claudette Morel was one of the original survivors in Dead by Daylight’s launch. Her perks are still used as some of the most prevalent survivor perks, and she is one of the most popular picks as a survivor due to her ability to blend in very easily. If you want to become another “Blendette” in the trials, here are some builds to help out.

5. Turbo Healing

The Fastest Healing Build | Dead by Daylight Claudette Survivor Gameplay

Turbo healing utilizes two of Claudette’s teachable perks, Self Care and Botany Knowledge. Botany Knowledge is vital to the build as it increases healing speeds up to 33% faster, which is necessary if you are going to be using Self Care which is painfully slow.
However, what really gives the build its name is We’ll Make It and Botany Knowledge. We’ll Make It increases healing speed by 100% after you unhook a survivor. That plus the extra 33% as well from Botany Knowledge you have close to the fastest healing speed in the entire game.

The downside of this build is that you don’t have much to protect yourself in a chase. You don’t have any exhaustion perks, but you have Iron Will which will make your cries of pain silent, which should help you to sneak around a bit.

What Turbo Healing Excels In:

  • Very fast healing speeds.
  • Easy to hide from the killer.

Perks Used:

Self Care: Unlocks the ability to heal yourself without needing a Med-Kit at 50% of the normal Healing speed.

  • When using a Med-Kit, its Depletion rate is decreased by 10/15/20%.

We’ll Make It: Whenever you rescue a Survivor from a Hook, your Altruistic Healing speed is increased by 100% for the next 30/60/90 seconds.
Iron Will: When injured, Grunts of Pain are reduced by 50/75/100%.
Botany Knowledge: Healing speeds, as well as the efficiency of Med-Kits, are increased by 11/22/33%.

4. Beginner Claudette

Claudette Morel (Dead By Daylight) 2020 Beginners' Build #2

The Beginner Claudette build introduces you to all three of Claudette’s teachable perks: Empathy, Botany Knowledge, and Self Care.

Botany Knowledge and Empathy have a natural synergy since Empathy shows you where injured teammates are, and Botany Knowledge allows you to heal faster. With these perks, you should be searching for your injured teammates and healing them whenever possible. Empathy also has an extra benefit, in that you can tell where the killer is, based on how your injured teammates are running around. If they look like they are looping, or sprinting strangely, then they are probably actively being chased by the killer.

Spine Chill can also increase that healing speed time if the killer is actively looking at you, however, once Spine Chill activates, you will probably want to stop what you are doing and go find a place to hide, or a safe area to try to loop the killer around.

Botany Knowledge and Self Care also has a synergy, which simply allows you to heal yourself faster.

What Beginner Claudette Excels In:

  • Introduces you to all of Claudette’s teachable perks.
  • Knowledge of where chases are happening and where other survivors are.
  • Fast self-healing speeds.

Perks Used:

Empathy: The Auras of dying or injured Survivors are revealed to you within a range of 64/96/128 meters.

  • Empathy does not reveal the Aura of a Survivor currently being carried by the Killer.

Botany Knowledge: Healing speeds, as well as the efficiency of Med-Kits, are increased by 11/22/33%.
Self Care: Unlocks the ability to heal yourself without needing a Med-Kit at 50% of the normal Healing speed.

  • When using a Med-Kit, its Depletion rate is decreased by 10/15/20%.

Spine Chill: Whenever the Killer is looking in your direction when within 36 meters of you, Spine Chill activates:

  • Skill Check Trigger odds are increased by 10%.
  • Skill Check Success zones are reduced by 10%.
  • Your Action speeds in Repairing, Healing, Sabotaging, Unhooking, Vaulting, Cleansing, Opening, and Unlocking are increased by 2/4/6%.

3. Autodidact Build

The Autodidact Build in Glorious Action | Dead by Daylight

It is no secret that I love a good Autodidact build. It is simply just too much fun to watch a progress bar while healing someone jump up 50% of its progress with a single skill check. It makes you want to go search out people to heal instead of sitting on generators the entire game. While that may not be the most effective way to escape the trial, it does add extra fun for you.

Empathy allows you to see where injured survivors are, or if injured survivors are currently being chased. If you can determine that they aren’t actively being chased, then you can run over to them and heal them and start getting your stacks of Autodidact.

Once Autodidact gets to 5 stacks, every skill check you get while healing a teammate will increase your progress by 50%. That progress also still works with Solidarity, which converts the progress you heal a teammate with to yourself, at a 50% conversion rate. So if you fully heal a teammate, your heal will be at 50%.

Finally, we have Spine Chill, which lets you know when the killer is looking at you and you can tell whether you have to stop what you are doing, or if you can keep holding left-click on a generator or teammate.

What the Autodidact Build Excels In:

  • Potential for really fast heals.
  • Knowledge of the whereabouts of other survivors and the killer.
  • Gives an incentive to be altruistic.

Perks Used:

Spine Chill: Whenever the Killer is looking in your direction when within 36 meters of you, Spine Chill activates:

  • Skill Check Trigger odds are increased by 10%.
  • Skill Check Success zones are reduced by 10%.
  • Your Action speeds in Repairing, Healing, Sabotaging, Unhooking, Vaulting, Cleansing, Opening, and Unlocking are increased by 2/4/6%.

Empathy: The Auras of dying or injured Survivors are revealed to you within a range of 64/96/128 meters.

  • Empathy does not reveal the Aura of a Survivor currently being carried by the Killer.

Solidarity: When injured, healing another Survivor without using a Med-Kit also heals you with a Conversion rate of 40/45/50%.
Autodidact: You start the Trial with a -25% Progression penalty for Skill Checks to heal Survivors.

  • For every successful Skill Check completed while healing a Survivor, you receive a Token for a maximum of 3/4/5 Tokens.
  • Each Token grants you a +15% bonus Progression for a successful Skill Check while healing Survivors.
  • Great Skill Checks cannot be performed while using Autodidact.
  • Autodidact is not active when using a Med-Kit to heal.

2. Ultimate Support

The Ultimate Support Build - Dead by Daylight

The Ultimate Support build is very similar to the other support and healing builds we have on this list, however, this build uses a stronger perk that allows you to make very safe unhooks.

Borrowed Time allows the survivor you are unhooking to be protected by the Endurance status effect. This means that if they would take any damage that would put them in the dying state, they would instead be put in the deep wound state, meaning that they would still be injured, but would have to mend within 20 seconds. This allows them to have a second chance after being unhooked and not immediately go down again.

If the unhooked survivor isn’t in any danger, then you can heal them up with We’ll Make It which increases your healing speed by 100%. And once you get them completely healed up, you will have Second Wind activated. With Second Wind, after you are unhooked, you will be hit with the Broken status effect meaning you can’t be healed, however, you will automatically heal yourself back to full health after 20 seconds, so you don’t have to stop to heal with your teammates, you can just jump onto a generator, or maybe heal another survivor yourself.

What Ultimate Support Excels In:

  • Very safe unhooks.
  • Very fast heals after unhooking.
  • Knowledge of the whereabouts of other survivors and the killer.
  • Gives an incentive to be altruistic.

Perks Used:

Borrowed Time: For 8/10/12 seconds after unhooking a Survivor, the unhooked Survivor is protected by the Endurance Status Effect.

  • Any damage taken that would put the Survivor into the Dying State will instead trigger the Deep Wound Status Effect, after which the Survivor has 20 seconds to Mend themselves.
  • Taking any damage while under the effect of Deep Wound or if its timer runs out will put the Survivor into the Dying State.

We’ll Make It: Whenever you rescue a Survivor from a Hook, your Altruistic Healing speed is increased by 100% for the next 30/60/90 seconds.
Empathy: The Auras of dying or injured Survivors are revealed to you within a range of 64/96/128 meters.

  • Empathy does not reveal the Aura of a Survivor currently being carried by the Killer.

Second Wind: When you heal another Survivor for the equivalent of 1 Health State, Second Wind activates:

  • The next time you are unhooked or unhook yourself, you suffer from the Broken Status Effect until Second Wind deactivates.
  • You are automatically healed 1 Health State after 28/24/20 seconds.
  • While Second Wind is active, the following conditions will deactivate it:
  • Successfully being healed by Second Wind.
  • Being put into the Dying State before the timer elapses.
  • Second Wind does not activate if you already suffer from the Broken Status Effect.

1. Toxic Claudette

Playing As Claudette BUT I'm SUPER TOXIC | Dead By Daylight

Toxic Claudette is using perks that somewhat annoy the killer. Even though the title of the build has “Toxic” in the name, it isn’t really toxic at all. It does however use some fairly strong perks.

Decisive Strike allows you to stun the killer and give you an extra chance should you be downed immediately after being unhooked. This typically annoys the killer and gives you another chance at escaping. If this is used in the end game, there is almost nothing the killer can do depending on where you were hooked and downed.

Sprint Burst is a great exhaustion perk that you can use whenever, just by holding the sprint button. If the killer is about to come and get you while working on a generator, you can Sprint Burst away to make a lot of distance and extend a chase where you probably would have gotten hit fairly early on.

Self Care should only be used in certain situations, especially since you don’t have anything to speed up the process, like Botany Knowledge. But, if you are in a situation where you can self-care and it isn’t impeding the team’s ability to get the objectives done faster, it can come in handy to help save someone who is hooked and the killer is camping / patrolling their hook.

What Toxic Claudette Excels In:

  • Protection from being tunneled.
  • Good exhaustion perk to lengthen chases.
  • Self-healing.
  • Possibility to sneak around the killer unseen.

Perks Used:

Self Care: Unlocks the ability to heal yourself without needing a Med-Kit at 50% of the normal Healing speed.

  • When using a Med-Kit, its Depletion rate is decreased by 10/15/20%.

Urban Evasion: When crouching, your Movement speed is increased by 90/95/100%.
Sprint Burst: When starting to run, break into a sprint at 150% of your normal running speed for a maximum of 3 seconds.

  • Sprint Burst causes the Exhausted Status Effect for 60/50/40 seconds.
  • Sprint Burst cannot be used when Exhausted.

Decisive Strike: After being unhooked or unhooking yourself, Decisive Strike activates for the next 40/50/60 seconds:

  • When being grabbed or picked up by the Killer, succeed a Skill Check to automatically escape their grasp, stunning them for 5 seconds.
  • Successfully stunning the Killer will disable Decisive Strike for the remainder of the Trial and result in you becoming the Obsession.
  • While Decisive Strike is active, the following interactions will deactivate it:
  • Repairing a Generator.
  • Healing yourself or other Survivors.
  • Cleansing a Totem.
  • Sabotaging a Hook.
  • Unhooking other Survivors.
  • Increases the odds of being the Obsession.
  • The Killer can only be obsessed with one Survivor at a time.
