Minecraft has a a lot of amazing servers. Some servers are pretty basic, you join and play vanilla Minecraft, only with other people. Other servers include building spaceships together and going to the moon, or playing a completely different game remade for Minecraft. Yeah, some servers are really unbelievable.

15. Grand Theft Minecart

Just like the name suggests, you can join this server and play Grand Theft Auto mixed with Minecraft. While not the only server who does something like this, it is the most popular and enjoyable one, with a lot of different things to do all around the server. With a stable community, you can always find something to do.

What’s awesome about Grand Theft Minecart:

• There are custom weapons in the server, 35 to be exact. You can play around with these weapons and have a lot of fun!
• With a designated resource pack, the game leans closer to looking like Grand Theft Auto compared to vanilla Minecraft.
• There are vehicles to drive around, clans to join, houses to buy. Overall there is always something new to do.
• Lastly, the server is updated regularly; so, whenever you join back into the server, you might just find something new and exciting.

This server is really focused on survival and LifeSteal. What is LifeSteal, I hear you asking. Let me explain. For people who love a slightly modified vanilla survival experience with other people, this is a great server to try out.

• The server can function from 1.18 onwards, which is great for playing the new versions of Minecraft in a multiplayer setting.

13. Brawl

With cool and masterfully crafted builds all around, this is one of the most beautiful servers to play in with a good community, and a lot of different minigames to boot. From Raid, Mc-WarZ, to Capture the Flag, there is a lot of different minigames for everyone. While the server is big, it is not as big as those colossal servers we will get to, so there is a possibility of a more friendly and intimate experience while playing as well. Definitely a recommend!

• With Capture the Flag, MinecraftBuild, Party Deluxe, Raid, and Mc-WarZ minigames to play and a whole lot of things to explore and find, you might never run out of things to do in this server.
• While it does not have as many minigames as other servers, the minigames are intricately built and really enjoyable to mess around in.

12. MCHub

This server focuses entirely on Prison, Skyblock and Survival. There are also different gameplay mechanics that just makes a Minecraft server really addictive to play like backpacks, casinos, different types of enchantments via gemstones, and all that cool stuff.

With a huge player count, you can play survival and come across many different adventures with different people, Skyblock is also really fun to play with other people and people who have played Prison on on different games or other Minecraft servers will know how fun it can be. With a lot of different minigames and different mechanics to play around with, Herobrine.org gives a lot of hours with a lot of fun. Now, don’t let the name scare you. This is not a spooky server but a server you can play Survival, Skyblock, Faction, Earth Towny, Bed Wars, Sky Wars, and other minigames in. A really old server that has progressed throughout a lot of different upgrades and updates, there is definitely a lot of fun to find here.

What’s awesome about Herobrine.org:

• One of the most fun minigames in the server, you can play Bed Wars and also Sky Wars that are extremely impressive to play and see for Minecraft.
• With a lot of different minigames and just a lot of different things to do, you will not run out of fun things to do anytime soon in this server.

7. AppleMC

One of the most well-known servers in Minecraft, this server provides a great variety of different things to do like Bedwars, Lifesteal, Earth SMP, and all that other stuff that is great to play and spend time in. One of the most well-known properties of this server is that a lot of known influencers also play on the server and have series based completely on this server.

So, if you want to play some Minecraft with well-known Minecraft players while having a lot of fun with a community of over 5000 people, this might be one of the best options for that.

• There are a lot of influencers playing on the server, and you might even end up in one of their videos while playing on the server.
• The server offers in-depth things to play in like quality SMPs and mods like FFA and Bed Wars.

6. HiveMC

This server includes a lot of great minigames that we have not seen on servers above in the list like DeathRun and Hide and Seek. Hide and Seek is personally one of my favorite minigames to play in Minecraft and it has gotten better with more updates recently.

Definitely give this server a play, there is something for everyone here to enjoy and spend time with. With a big community and a server with almost no downtime and more than 1000 players, you can play this server both on Java and Bedrock.

What’s awesome about HiveMC:

• You can play the server both on Java and Bedrock. So, you can choose the version you want to play in the server with and you do not have to change clients if you primarily play on Bedrock.
• Lot of great and fun minigames like DeathRun and Hide and Seek that is not as well-known in bigger servers. You can play them with a lot of people and a great community all around and have a lot of fun while doing so!

5. PirateCraft

We all like servers with a designated theme, right? Well, I certainly do. In this server, you can become a pirate and strive to rule the seas with your crew. There are a lot of ships, and you can even build your own ship and sail with it to the sea. I don’t know how that’s possible in Minecraft, but I guess it is.

You can also install cannons to your ships and fight with other ships and this server experience has definitely been the most enjoyable Minecraft server experience for me for a long time. Definitely give this one a try.

What’s awesome about PirateCraft:

• You can build your own ships and sail it! Is there anything else I need to add?
• Okay, if I have to add one more thing, because of the amount of players on the server is not too high, the experience is more intimate, and I usually tend to enjoy servers that don’t have ten thousand players in it at one time. Also, there is almost no downtime for the server.

4. Complex

Probably to best server to play Pixelmon Reforged, this is a great server with a long list of players and a whole lot to do. Even if you are bored with Pixelmon, there is Skyblock, Survival, Fanctions, Creative, Prison, and more!

If you don’t want to install Pixelmon on your client, there is also a vanilla version of the server with a lot of different gameplay types and minigames. A lot of things to do, if you give this one a try, there is a high chance that you will find something to do that will be really fun for you!

What’s awesome about Complex:

• With the newest version of Pixelmon, you can catch over 850 Pokémon with your friends and other players.
• If you don’t fancy installing Pixelmon, you can also play on the vanilla servers and play games like Factions, Survival, Prison, Creative, Skyblock, and more!

3. Hypixel

Okay, you’ve seen the player limit. If you haven’t, please look at it. Okay, deep breaths. With a server that is the size of a small country, I think it’s fair to say that you can find something to do here. Our favorite adventure map creators created this server some years ago and built a lot, and I mean a lot of different minigames for it.

You can play Megawalls, Warlords, Blitz:SG, and over 35 unique games in the server. One of the largest servers in Minecraft, there are some minigames that cannot be found on different servers. Definitely give this one a try if you haven’t already.

What’s awesome about Hypixel:

• With over 35 minigames, there is a lot to do here. For some minigames and games, you can’t even find them on other servers. Some of them are completely unique to Hypixel.
• With 200000 player limit, I don’t think you will be waiting in a queue anytime soon. Also, it’s quite impressive that there is no downtime for a server this big. Definitely a plus!

2. 2B2T

Here is an interesting server. One of the oldest servers (it might even be the oldest Minecraft server still standing) in Minecraft, this server is difficult to get into. With an 80-player count, you will be waiting in a queue for some time, the server lags a lot, there is a high chance you will not be able to leave the starting area, and the server crashes a lot.

Okay, what? Then, why would anyone want to play here? Well, because of the chaos. The server is a no rules, everything goes kind of server with the same map that is almost a decade old. Everywhere is desecrated, you can’t protect your builds, there are no plugins to ease your play.

This is a social experiment of what Minecraft players could do in a no-rules place in a decade. Well, turns out they do a lot.

What’s awesome about 2B2T:

• Chaos and the most bare-bones vanilla experience, if you can get out of the spawn zone, this is one of the most fascinating Minecraft servers out there.
• With the no-rules approach, you can use scripts, cheat, dupe, do everything you want. Anything goes in the server. So, play at your own risk.

1. Mineplex

One of the most well-known servers in Minecraft’s history, Mineplex is one of the few servers that are officially partnered with Mojang Studios. Yes, the developers of Minecraft! Crazy. Well, it is for a good reason.

The server has been around since 2013 and has millions of unique players monthly. The list of minigames is too much to get into. If you like to, you can look at the minigame list yourself. Overall, it would be fair to say that you will definitely, and I mean definitely, find something to do here that is a perfect fit for you. Or maybe you will find a few dozen of them, who knows. • You can play dozens and dozens of different minigames in Mineplex. With different minigames that require different skills and things to do, there is something for everyone here.
• With millions of different players, the community is extremely large and there are even designated wikis for the server. Probably the biggest Minecraft server ever, this is the best place to start, for sure.
