These In my Opinion are the top 5 Assault Rifles in The Division 2.

5. Police M4 (Good)

The Police M4 is number 5 on the list because it has no special ability, no special description. This is the most steady Assault Rifle in the game.

Dealing decent damage, putting out a high RPM, very high stability and accuracy, allowing you to hit any shot with ease. This gun is great for those just starting out since it is an easy drop to get even without Allocated Loot on.

  • The high stability allows you to hold the trigger down, while still being able to keep your aim on the target.
  • Its near maxed accuracy means there is limited bullet spread, allowing you to hit every mark.
  • Being able to be at medium range for optimal efficiency means you can stay out of trouble while still being able to do some great damage.
  • This weapon does not have any particular skill attached to it, But you can find a couple with some skills such as Near Sighted. Which adds 80% stability at the cost of a -35% range.

Weapon Stats.

Police M4 - Average Damage 90k, Rounds Per Minute 978, Magazine Size 30 bullets

Description - None

Weapon Skill - None

4. FAMAS 2010 (Good)

The FAMAS 2010 is number 4 on the list for it being a great Assault Rifle along with the Police M4 does not have any special abilities or descriptions and gets all of its notoriety from its High Stability and High Accuracy.

Another weapon that can rip through enemies while not spreading too far for you to miss a shot. This is another weapon that is great for those just starting out since you do not need to be set to any specific loot allocation.

  • With an RPM of 1035 you will be putting out massive DPS at the cost of you feeling like you are reloading too much.
  • Having such a high stability is another reason why this gun is great, combine that with its RPM and you will not be having much trouble clearing out most enemies.
  • This weapon works well at a Medium to Close range, meaning you can still be behind cover making sure you are protected while making sure the enemies are not.
  • Another weapon with no particular skill, But you can find it with skills such as “Measured - The top Half of the Magazine has a 20% rate of fire and -30% weapon damage. The bottom half of the magazine has -20% rate of fire and +30% weapon damage”

FAMAS 2010 - Average Damage 90k, Rounds Per Minute 1035, Magazine Size 30

Description - None

Weapon Skill - None

3. The Capacitor (Great)

The Capacitor is Number 3 on the list and personally one of my favorite guns in the game in general. This is all around a great gun, especially for skill builds.

Having a great ability that goes off with every shot instead of kill allows this weapon to Utilize your skills to their highest abilities.

Increasing their skill damage by 1.5% up to 40 stacks makes your turrets, drones and every skill you have exceptionally deadly. Even more so when running with the Technician specialization active.

  • Using a skill build with this weapon is highly recommended to get the full potential of this weapon.
  • This gun comes with stock mods already on his weapon that increase Crit Chance, Crit Damage, Round Capacity and Weapon Handling
  • With core attributes that Increases your Damage, along with Damage to Armor and Damage to Health means whether they have armor or not, you will be doing high damage.

Weapon Stats.

Capacitor -  Average Damage 110k, Rounds Per Minute 805, Magazine Size 41.

Description - “My two favorite things are: cut and crossed wires, and electric fires. Luckily those tend to go hand in hand. Let’s spark it up, then burn it down.” - Former Black Tusk Technician”

Weapon Skill: Capacitance - Shooting enemies builds stacks to a cap of 40. Each stack grants 1.5% Skill Damage. After 5 seconds, stacks decay 1 per second. For each skill tier gain 7.5% Weapon Damage.

2.  Kingbreaker (Excellent)

The Kingbreaker Assault Rifle is number 2 on the list. The Kingbreaker is a good assault rifle for any build that is using damage such as Heartbreaker.

There are a lot of Heartbreaker builds that utilize this gun since it increases your Damage to Pulsed enemies.

My reasoning for why this assault rifle is on the list and top 5 is that this gun does wreck hard. The Kingbreakers special is that it does 20% damage to pulsed enemies, while being able to pulse a single target every 2 kills.

So combine that with the pulse skill and heartbreaker you can max out your damage by 95% if you combine the weapons skill stack, 4 heartbreaker armor pieces and the 15% Assault Rifle Damage from the Heartbreaker armor.

You will always be doing massive damage with this gun.

This Weapon is great for.

  • Stacking massive damage very quickly, especially when using pulse to help get your damage rate maxed before getting your first to skills.
  • The Kingbreaker shreds through nearly everything, whereas it’s RPM is only 748 it makes up for that by being able to deal massive damage.
  • Adding the Technician Linked Laser Pointer will allow you to free up your skill slot and use whatever two skills you want, since it will automatically Pulse every enemy you aim at.

Weapon Stats

The Kingbreaker - 120k Damage, 748 Rounds Per Minute, Magazine Size 50

Description: “The Limits of tyrants are prescribed by the endurance of those whom they oppress”

Weapon Skill - Perfect Flatline, Amplifies weapon damage by 20% to Pulsed Enemies, After 2 kills, applies pulse to the next target you hit.

1. St. Elmo’s Engine (Best)

St. Elmo’s Engine is easily number 1 on the list as it is an easy exotic to get, you do not have to do anything special to get one.

You can just grind out Assault Rifles on your Loot Allocation or open exotic chests. There is no prerequisite to get this Assault Rifle, it can just be easily found.

Having the ability to shock enemies on a consistent basis with its skill “Actum Est” means that in PvP or PvE your enemies will have trouble even trying to combat you, since they will be stunned.

  • Having Core Attributes that increase Assault Rifle Damage, Health Damage and Damage to Armour is another reason why this is an A-Tier gun.
  • With an RPM of 978 and a 70 round Magazine you will have no problems getting to the 100 stack requirement for “Actum Est” to activate.
  • With Pre-Installed Mods Increasing Critical Damage, Critical Hit Chance, Weapon Handling and an Extended Mag. This weapon definitely packs a punch.

Weapon Stats.

St Elmo’s Engine - Average Damage 85k Rounds Per Minute 978 Magazine Size 70

Description - “Sometimes the most dangerous and beautiful phenomenon is natural” - Anonymous”

Weapon Skill - “Actum Est” - Shooting an enemy with this weapon will give 1 stack. At 100 stacks the next magazine will be filled with Shock Ammo.
