[Top 10] Insurgency: Sandstorm Best Outfits

[Top 10] Insurgency: Sandstorm Best Outfits
Fashion is key!

It’s time to talk about the cosmetic options that are in the game. The cosmetics in this game are purely for the looks but some can be used to your advantage. For example, if you’re playing on a snowy map and you have white clothing on your character, you’ll be harder to spot.

All of these cosmetics can also be mixed to create a whole outfit. I’ll also give you the name of every cosmetic option that you can equip, and I’ll tell you which maps these cosmetics are good for. With that, let’s get into this article!

10. Spec-Ops Black-Insurgent Forces

Stealth mode on with this futuristic suit.

Now this specific outfit is only useful on night maps, and it’s damn broken on them. But the only downside to this is that people are rarely playing a night map, and if they are, it’s most likely a PvE game mode.

There is one event that comes around randomly when you can play a night map in the PvP game mode, and when it does, you need to have this outfit. If the enemy isn’t wearing night vision goggles and they don’t have a huge flashlight on their gun, you won’t be seen.

What Maps This Outfit Is Good For:

  • On any map that has a night mode version of it.

Items Required:

  • Headgear - Gray Man Mask - Black
  • Hands - Gray man gloves - black
  • Torso - Gray man top - black
  • Legs - Gray man bottom - black
  • Feet - rebel boots - black
  • Equipment - vest - black

9. Foliage Green - Security Forces

Hey, what is that moving in the bush?

Here we have the foliage camouflage, which is great on maps that have greenery around. Like grass, bushes, trees, and so on. This comes in handy when you’re trying to sneak around or flank the enemy.

You can lie down in the grass, and most people will have a hard time spotting you from a distance. You have to keep your distance from the enemy when wearing this type of outfit. Also, make sure that you’re not laying down in mud or on concrete because then you’ll be sticking out.

What Maps Outfit Is Good For:

  • Power Plant - there are a lot of bushes and greenery on the map where you can hide from the enemy.

Items Required:

  • Headgear: Covered - Foliage Green
  • Facewear: Neck Gaiter Low - Foliage Green
  • Hands: Scout Gloves: Olive Green
  • Torso: Blouse - Uniform Camo
  • Legs: Scout Bottom - Uniform Camo
  • Feet: Scout Boots - Foliage Green
  • Equipment: Vest - Woodland Smear

8. Sand Camo - Security Forces

There’s sand in my boots, damn it.

This outfit is amazing on maps that have a lot of sand on them. You can climb on top of a dune or a building that matches this outfit's color, grab a sniper rifle and become the player with the most kills.

But if someone gets too close to you, they will notice you, while from a distance, the enemy will have a lot of trouble detecting you. Especially if you keep constantly moving each time you shoot.

What Maps Outfit Is Good For:

  • Refinery - on the outside of the map, where there is a ton of sand.
  • Summit - if you keep moving next to the buildings that match the color of your outfit.

Items Required:

  • Headgear: Scout Helmet - Sand
  • Facewear: Neck Gaiter Low-Sand
  • Hands: Scout Gloves - Sand
  • Torso: Scout Top - Sand
  • Legs: Scout Bottom - Sand
  • Feet: Scout Boots - Sand
  • Equipment: Vest - Tan

7. Snow Urban - Insurgent Forces

You’ll be harder to spot in the snow.

This outfit is only good for the Citadel map, and that’s because there is a lot of gray concrete and snow around, which you can use as camouflage. There are some patches of snow where you can lie down, and enemies will have a hard time detecting you. Make sure that you aren’t standing in mud or anywhere near anything that’s a different color from your outfit, as they will easily spot you then.

What Maps Outfit Is Good For:

  • Citadel - there are a lot of gray and white areas that you can use as your cover.

Items Required:

  • Facewear - Black Knot White Black C
  • Torso - Track Top White - White/Black
  • Legs - Sirwal - Light Gray
  • Feet - Rebel Boots - Gray
  • Equipment - Vest - Wolf Gray

6. Sand Camo - Insurgent Forces

Hey, what is that moving on the dune?

Even though the Insurgent Forces don’t have a lot of camouflage options, we’ve got to make do with what we have. This outfit is specifically created for maps that have a ton of sand on them, and it’s especially useful when you’re an Insurgent and on the defending side.

You can simply hide on top of a dune, and the enemy wouldn’t know any better. This outfit is best used for the marksman or machine-gunner class, as when they come up close, you’ll be spotted easily.

What Maps Outfit Is Good For:

  • Crossing - there is a good spot for this outfit in the middle of the map.
  • Summit - the buildings on this map match the color of this outfit, so you can easily blend in.

Items Required:

  • Facewear: Back Knot Black - Yellow Plaid
  • Hands: Rebel Gloves - Green
  • Torso: Seasoned Fighter Top - Peach
  • Legs: Sirval - Peach
  • Feet: Rebel Boots - Brown
  • Equipment: Vest - Black

5. Urban Gray - Insurgent Forces

I am one with the buildings.

This type of outfit is only good for maps that have a lot of concrete and gray buildings, which you can blend in with like a chameleon. Sadly, there are only two maps in total that fall into this critique, and they are Prison and Outskirts.

With this outfit, you can effectively blend in with the buildings while pushing an objective or trying to sneak your way to the enemy to surprise them from behind. You can also get on top of a gray building or some gray rubble and lay down to cover your teammates with a machine gun.

What Maps This Outfit Is Good For:

  • Prison - the whole map is made out of concrete, which allows this outfit to perfectly blend in.
  • Outskirts - the map has a ton of ruined buildings and rubble that you can blend in with.

Items Required:

  • Headgear Captive Headcap - Light Gray
  • Facewear - Half Wrap Plain - Dark Grey
  • Torso - Captive Shirt - Gray
  • Legs - Sirval - Light Gray
  • Feet - Rebel Boots - Gray
  • Equipment - Vest - Black

4. Tan Camo - Security Forces

Time to get my tan on before the summer.

Two maps have a tan color palette, and they are played quite often. Because of that, it’s good to have an outfit with a tan color. So that way, you can have a decent K/DA while playing on these two maps.

Since the color pattern of those maps is tan, the outfit should also be tan. You’ll blend in nicely with the buildings, and if you don’t make any radical movements, you’ll do just fine without a problem.

What Maps This Outfit Is Good For:

  • Tideway - this map has a lot of sand around, and the buildings are a darker tan color. You’ll blend in nicely with this outfit.
  • Tell - the whole map is a tan color, so having this outfit gives you a huge advantage. Just don’t make any radical movements.

Items:

  • Headgear - Beret - Tan
  • Facewear - Neck Gaiter Low - Tan
  • Hands - Knuckles - Tan
  • Torso - Shell Camo - Tan
  • Legs - Business Casual - Tan
  • Feet - Standard Issue - Tan
  • Equipment - Vest - Tan

3. Flora Ghillie Suit - Security Forces

Why are the bushes speaking Chinese?

If you want to get close to the enemy without them spotting you, then you have to use this outfit. Just make sure that you’re moving from bush to bush and from one patch of grass to another, because if you aren’t, then you’re good as dead.

If you want to use this outfit to the max, sneak behind the enemy lines, lay down in a patch of grass or a bush, and kill them off one by one. I’d also recommend bringing a silenced weapon with you, as that will prove the most useful.

What Maps Outfit Is Good For:

  • Power Plant - this map has a ton of bushes and grass patches around.
  • Farmhouse - on the main road, there are a lot of high-density grass patches that you can utilize to your advantage.

Items Required:

  • Headgear - Ghillie Hat - Digital Flora
  • Torso - Ghillie Shirt - Digital Flora
  • Legs - Ghillie Pants - Digital Flora
  • Feet - Scout Boots - Foliage Green
  • Equipment - Vest - Digital Flora

2. Ghillie Suit Sand - Security Forces

Why is that pile of sand holding a .50 cal?

If you really like using the ghillie suit but you’re constantly playing on a desert map, then just decorate it with desert camo. After you’ve done that, you can pick a nice bush in the desert, lay down in it, and snipe people from afar. Or if you want to be special ops, you can lay down beside a building and role-play some dead grass that has a lethal weapon equipped.

What Maps Outfit Is Good For:

  • Tideway - on the outskirts of the map, there are some dead bushes that you can use.
  • Summit - the houses have dead grass beside them, which you can use as your camo.
  • Crossing - the map is made out of dead grass, which is perfect for this ghillie suit.

Items Required:

  • Headgear - Ghillie Hat - Digital Desert
  • Torso - Ghillie Shirt - Digital Desert
  • Legs - Ghillie Pants - Digital Desert
  • Feet - Scout Boots - Sand
  • Equipment - Vest - Digital Desert

1. Yeti - Insurgent Forces

The snow speaks Finnish.

If you want to be completely invisible in the snow, then you must use this outfit. The yeti outfit will make your playable character utterly white, with only a few black details that are hard to spot.

Because, let’s be real, if it were utterly white, it’d be damn near impossible to spot anyone. This outfit works best on only snow maps because, on any other, you’re a dead man walking. Don’t even think about using this outfit on anything else except a snow map.

What Maps This Outfit Is Good For:

  • Bab - this whole map is covered in snow, so the enemies will have a hard time spotting you.
  • Citadel - this map has snow patches where you can hide.
  • Hillside - the map is covered in snow, and if you’re defending as an Insurgent you can have some great spots to kill enemies from.

Items Required:

  • Facewear - Yeti Mask - white
  • Eyewear - Yeti Goggles - White
  • Torso - Yeti Top - wolf gray
  • Legs - Yeti bottom - wolf gray
  • Feet - Yeti boots - wolf gray
  • Equipment - Vest - wolf gray
