Like other survival games, Dinkum features some hunting, and it contains weapons you'll need to use for both hunting and self-defense against hostile creatures. As almost all of the weapons in the game require crafting, levels for hunting with obtainable licenses 1 through 3 are introduced. 10-Basic Spear (early game)

9-Basic hammer

The Basic Hammer is a weapon used for hunting. The attack speed of a hammer is slow, with high damage and a chance to stun the target. It can double as a pickaxe because it can break Tin and Copper ore rocks. Because it used the same materials as the basic spear, you can make them at the same time, and have two really great early-game weapons to choose from.

8-Croc teeth bat

The Croc Teeth Bat is a weapon used for hunting. It has a short range, with a fast attack, damaging targets in an arc. After you’ve done some hunting and killed several different kinds of animals, particularly Crocs, you will have discovered that they drop different items that can be used as materials. One of these items is the croc teeth and it creates an upgraded bat using croc teeth.

• It is unlocked with the Hunting Licence of level 2
• Craftable with 1 Copper Bar, 2 Spinifex Resin, 2 Crocodile Teeth, and 2 Hard Wood Planks

How to get a Croc Teeth Bat: Go on a Croc hunt to get as many chances for teeth to drop. After collecting all the materials craft the bat at the crafting table.

7-Flaming bat

The Flaming Bat is another upgraded form of the bat and is a weapon used for hunting. It has a short range, with a fast attack, damaging targets in an arc. When swinging the weapon it lights any animal it hits on fire. The fire will continually damage the animal over a period of a few seconds. The fire will be put out if the target walks into, or is already in, a body of water.

• It provides +8 damage
• It is unlocked when the player obtains the Hunting Licence Level 3
• Craftable with 1 Iron Bar, 2 Spinifex Resin, 2 Flame Sac, and 2 Hard Wood Plank

How to get a Flaming Bat: This weapon can be crafted after collecting the necessary materials. It can also be found in chests inside treasure rooms in the Deep Mine.

6-Iron hammer

The Iron Hammer is a weapon used for hunting. The attack speed of a hammer is slow, with high damage and a chance to stun the target. An upgrade of the Basic Hammer, it can break Tin, Copper, and Iron ore rocks. This takes away the need to own a pickaxe.

How to get an Iron hammer: Collect the necessary materials and craft it at the crafting table. It can also be found with partial durability from chests inside treasure rooms in the Deep Mine

5-Bone bow and arrow

The Bone Bow is a ranged weapon used for hunting. It uses a slingshot which is another item that players can buy and craft from Ted Selly. It can also be found in a Gacha machine and in the Deep Mines. The Bone Arrows are not collectible after firing, so take care with your aim as each arrow is only used once.

• It provides +12 damage
• Craftable with 1 Slingshot, 20 Bones, 2 Iron Bars, and 2 Copper Bars
• Buying Price Dinks 240,000 
• Arrows: Craftable with 2 Bones, 2 Mangrove sticks, and 2 Feathers to make 4 arrows. It costs 500 Dinks and sells for 250

4-Bat zapper

See Bat Zapper in action: 

This tool works on the surface as well as the Deep Mines. It stuns animals for a short time and kills bats instantly in the mines. Any animal around the player will take a small bit of damage and be stunned for a short while. If the player holds down the "use" button then it stays lit and can be used as a light source, but no further damage or stun effect will happen so the button must be let go and pressed again. 

Bat Zapper stats:

• It provides a small amount of damage to stun animals but otherwise doesn’t harm them 
• Craftable with 1 Torch, 3 Thunder Sac, 2 Hot Cylinder, 4 Bright Wire, 10 Glowing Mushroom, 5 Iron Bar
• The buying price is 100,000 Dinks 
• It requires recharging or else it will break and disappear
• Resell price 50,000 Dinks

3-Alpha Bat

The Alpha Bat is the ultimate upgraded weapon from the bat that is used for hunting. Similar to the Flame Bat, it has short range, with a fast attack, damaging targets in an arc. It shoots out 3 fireballs in a cone spread with an arch that lights targets on fire. If the player is high above the ground the fireballs will travel further and spread out more as the drop distance is farther. The effect is similar to that of the Bush Devil's fireball attack.

Alpha Bat stats: 

• It provides +12 damage
• Craftable with 1 Flaming Bat, 2 Alpha Eye, 10 Copper Ore, 10 Iron Ore, 5 Opal

After the hammer is swung it releases a shockwave in an area of effect around the player which knocks back and can stun enemies. The effect is similar to that of the Alpha Jackaroo's area of effect stomp attack. Just like the Iron Hammer, it can break Tin, Copper, and Iron ore rocks.
