[Top 10] Dead Cells Best Affixes To Have

Dead Cells Best Affixes to Have
Upgrade your gear with the best affixes.

Besides gear and mutations, Dead Cells has one more mechanic that affects your gameplay: affixes. Affixes are special attributes that are randomly generated on amulets, weapons, and skills. They make them more powerful or give them utility. There are more than a hundred Affixes in the game; some are just minor improvements, while others change the whole gameplay. Here are the ten best affixes to have.

10. Poison Heal

What do you mean poisonous?

This affix is very situational. Usually, you want to avoid poison pools, but not with this affix. You just jump into them to restore your health. This affix can be found only on amulets that drop from elite enemies or are found in secret areas. This affix is most powerful in earlier biomes, and you want to switch it later on for more effective affixes.

Why Poison Heal Is Great:

  • The best affix to have in the Toxic Sewers and Ancient Sewers biome.
  • Great against enemies that apply poison effects to you.
  • You can save your healing flask and sell food for extra money in biomes with poison pools, and you can heal yourself by jumping into them instead.

Poison Heal full details:

  • Standing in poison now heals you for 2 points every 0.2 seconds.
  • This is a Major affix with a star symbol in front.
  • This affix is only present on amulets.

9. Super Pierce

Just stay in line.

Super Pierce is almost a must-have affix when you run a ranged weapon build. You can trigger a big crowd of monsters and clear them in a span of a few seconds. It works best in biomes with small, closed areas with a lot of enemies in one place. But you want to reroll this affix before the boss fights because it becomes useless.

Why Super Pierce Is Great:

  • This affix works great in builds with ranged weapons that have a lot of ammo.
  • It helps you clear crowds of monsters.
  • You can go through biomes much faster.

Super Pierce full details:

  • Shots pierce all enemies.
  • This is a Major affix with a star symbol in front.
  • Super Pierce can only be applied to ranged weapons that have ammo.

8. Bleed Poison

As if one wasn't enough.

Knife Dance is a decent skill on its own. However, if you find its legendary version with the affix Bleed Poison, this skill gains a whole new level. You can try to make powerful damage over time build that uses both effects, bleeding and poison.

Why Bleed Poison Is Great:

  • This affix scales with Brutality and Tactics, but works better in Brutality builds that deal a huge amount of damage in a short time.
  • Helps you with clearing areas that have many low HP enemies.
  • Utilize it with other items, skills, and mutations that benefit from bleeding and poison effects.
  • Combine it with minor affixes, Bleed Damage, and Poison Damage. They deal an extra percentage of damage to enemies that are affected by those effects.

Bleed Poison full details:

  • Bleeding causes poison.
  • Poison stacks created by this affix have the same duration as the relevant bleeding stacks, but half their DPS.
  • This is a Legendary affix, which is found only on the legendary version of a specific item or skill. You can't reroll it.
  • This affix is exclusive to the skill Knife Dance.

7. Ammo Retrieval

Infinite ammo refill.

No more running out of arrows in the middle of the fight. With this affix, you can reliably refill your ammo every time you run out. This affix is in a minor category, meaning you have a higher chance to get it during rerolling. The only downside is that it can only be applied to grenades.

Why Ammo Retrieval Is Great:

  • This affix is useful during long boss fights where you tend to run out of ammunition quickly.
  • Works in builds with ranged weapons that rely on ammunition.
  • It's worth rolling for it if you have a grenade skill.

Ammo Retrieval full details:

  • Arrows stuck in enemies come back.
  • This is a Minor affix.
  • This affix can only be applied to explosive skills (explosive skills are all Grenades).

6. Invisibility

You can't see me, my time is now.

This affix makes you invisible after 5 seconds without attacking. This helps you move between sections in biomes faster and safer. You can first scout out biomes and plan your moves. This affix can be found only on amulets that drop from elite enemies or are found in secret areas.

Why Invisibility Is Great:

  • You can safely scout biomes without triggering monsters.
  • You can hunt for cured chests right after you enter the biome.
  • Bonus damage is a great opening against tankier enemies.

Invisibility full details:

  • Invisible after 5s without attacking. The first invisible attack inflicts +150% damage.
  • Attacks of all kinds and actions that trigger cutscenes (entering doors, grabbing scrolls, opening chests, etc.) will interrupt invisibility.
  • This is a Major affix with a star symbol in front.
  • This affix is only present on amulets.

5. Durability Up

Loyal companion.

This affix upgrades the skill Serenade. Even without this affix, Serenade is one of the best summons in the game. With this affix, the summoned possessed sword remains active and does not need to be resummoned every 30 seconds. This affix makes using this skill more convenient and ensures passive damage without any effort.

Why Durability Up Is Great:

  • This affix makes Serenade a must-pick skill.
  • You can run two Serenades in your build, but to equip the second one, you need to have a legendary Serenade.
  • Serenade stays summoned and applies stacks that trigger its critical condition.

Durability Up full details:

  • Stays active indefinitely.
  • This is a Legendary affix, which is found only on the legendary version of a specific item or skill. You can't reroll it.
  • This affix is exclusive to the skill Serenade.

4. White Walker

You've lived beyond the wall. What are you scared of?

If we talk about defensive skills, Ice Armor is one of the best options out there. The addition of the White Walker affix improves Ice Armor even further. It does not expire and can be kept until you are hit or reactivate it, which means you have "extra" life for almost the entire game. Because legendary items are also colorless, you must pick up legendary Ice Armor whenever you come across it; it will work in any build.

Why White Walker Is Great:

  • This is the best defensive mechanic in the game.
  • You are always guaranteed to ignore the first instance of damage dealt to you.
  • This affix makes Ice Armor a must-pick skill.
  • It can be run in any build.

White Walker full details:

  • The armor doesn't expire and can be kept until you get hit or reactivate it.
  • This is a Legendary affix, which is found only on the legendary version of a specific item or skill. You can't reroll it.
  • This affix is exclusive to the skill Ice Armor.

3. Double Bullets

Double trouble.

The affix Double Bullets enhances the legendary versions of a few weapons. Your weapons and abilities fire or create twice as many projectiles as before. This improves your damage output and allows you to kill tanky enemies and clear large crowds of monsters faster.

Why Double Bullets Is Great:

  • This affix is most effective when used with the ranged weapon Multiple-Nocks Bow. Instead of three arrows, you fire six. When combined with the mutation Barbed Tips, the passive damage you deal is massive.
  • Skill Scarecrow's Sickles summon four sickles instead of two.
  • This affix is a straight-up upgrade for weapons that have it.

Double Bullets full details:

  • Fires twice as many bullets.
  • This applies to all projectiles created, not just bullets.
  • This is a Legendary affix, which is found only on the legendary version of a specific item or skill. You can't reroll it.
  • This affix is exclusive to the weapons Multiple-Nocks Bow, Magic Bow, Starfury, and the skill Scarecrow's Sickles.

2. True Evil

The maximum risk, maximum reward strat.

Cursed Sword is Dead Cells' interpretation of the phrase "double-edged sword." The damage that you deal is much higher than with any other weapon in the game, but it has a catch: one hit and you're dead. The affix True Evil appears on the legendary version of the Cursed Sword. You deal +300% damage, but you can't use any other item or weapon; this means that you go all in on the Cursed Sword.

Why True Evil Is Great:

  • The damage that you deal with the Cursed Sword that has this affix is ridiculous.
  • You can kill any enemy, including bosses, in five or six hits at most.
  • It works in any build or color because you can't use other weapons or skills anyway.

True Evil full details:

  • You deal +300% damage, but you can't use any other item.
  • This is a Legendary affix, which is found only on the legendary version of a specific item or skill. You can't reroll it.
  • This affix is exclusive to the weapon Cursed Sword.

1. Extra Ammo Few

+1

You don't want to skip legendary items with this affix. This Extra Ammo Few affix adds one extra ammunition to ranged weapons that only have one. This uncovers a few interesting new ways to utilize those weapons.

Why Extra Ammo Few Is Great:

  • This affix makes Boomerang even more powerful; you can throw two boomerangs instead of one.
  • You can root two enemies at once with the weapon The Boy's Axe.
  • This affix is a straight-up upgrade for weapons that have it; pick them up every time you get a chance.

Extra Ammo Few full details:

  • Ammo +1.
  • This is a Legendary affix, which is found only on the legendary version of a specific item or skill. You can't reroll it.
  • This affix is exclusive to the weapons The Boy's Axe, Boomerang, and Laser Glaive.
