[Top 3] Dead Cells Best Routes

Dead Cells Best Routes
First screen you'll see

What's the Best Way to Reach the Throne Room?

With the arrival of the Fatal Falls DLC, there are now 27 biomes to challenge on your way to the Throne Room. In each biome, enemies and hazards are waiting to bring about an abrupt and premature end to your run. These three routes are designed to overcome those obstacles and take you to the final boss. Who will, maybe, bring about an abrupt end to your run.

3. Timed Doors Route

Maximum Speed

This is the route for those who play Dead Cells fast and hard. With this route, there are five timed doors, each one containing a weapon, an amulet, and a skill. On top of being able to choose one free piece of gear, they are all two or three gear levels higher than what you could find at the previous biome.

Timed Door Route Details

  • Prisoners’ Quarters
  • Promenade of the Condemned (2 min timed door)
  • Ramparts (8 min timed door)
  • Black Bridge (15 min timed door)
  • Stilt Village (17 min timed door)
  • Forgotten Sepulcher (26 min timed door)
  • Clock Room
  • High Peak Castle
  • Throne Room

Why the Timed Door Route is Great

  • All you have to do to open a timed door is be fast.
  • Gear! Gear! Gear!
  • The gear will almost always be significantly higher quality than what you have.

2. Perfect Run Route

Finally reached a perfect door

There are other doors at the end of each biome. The hitless doors. These bastards require you to kill either 30 or 60 enemies to open and bring you the same awesome gear that hides behind the timed doors. For this route, time is not of the essence, allowing you to take out enemies slowly and methodically.

Perfect Run Route Details

  • Prisoners’ Quarters
  • Toxic Sewers
  • Ramparts
  • Black Bridge
  • Stilt Village
  • Clock Tower
  • Clock Room
  • High Peak Castle
  • Throne Room

Why the Perfect Run Route is Great

  • Prioritizes not getting hit, which becomes more important at higher BC difficulties.
  • Compliments a slower playstyle.
  • Consists of the biomes with the enemies least likely to break your killstreak (Thinking about you, Slumbering Sanctuary).

1. Max Stats Route

Upgrading tactics for the Alchemic Carbine

Is there anything better than getting those stats to the max? I don’t think so. Grabbing gear behind those pesky timed and hit streak doors is all well and good, but this route will net you the most stat scrolls and scroll fragments on your way to the Hand of the King.

Max Gear Route Details

  • Prisoners’ Quarters
  • Promenade of the Condemned
  • Prison Depths
  • Ossuary
  • Black Bridge
  • Stilt Village
  • Forgotten Sepulcher
  • Clock Room
  • High Peak Castle
  • Throne Room

Why the Max Stats Route is Great

  • More stats for higher damage and more health when entering the final boss.
  • There is always a cursed chest in Prison Depths for those in search of a little spice in their lives.
  • The best route for the completionist, exploring every nook and cranny for those skill scrolls.
