[Top 5] Assassin's Creed Valhalla Best Weapon Combos

Assassin's Creed Valhalla Best Weapon Combos, AC Valhalla Best Weapon Combos
Conquer England with the best weapon combos

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla gives you a wide array of weapons that are suited to beat your enemies to dust. While the Viking Age offers a unique look at wielding weapons, you can bet that the combat has evolved, which brings us to my top five weapon combos in the game.

You can’t just swing and hope to kill all your enemies in that way, you will need to give Eivor the best set of weapons to help her beat the toughest opponents in the game. This is why you should take a look at the best weapon combos that you can use in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

My run in Valhalla was not that quick but I can say that the weapon combos really helped out a lot in making the campaign easier to beat. I went from using dual axes all the way to mixing them up with a heavy sword and a hammer to make Eivor a standout hero in the game.

The weapon combos paved the way for a strong Eivor in my run. I was able to get the best ending and finished the game with a lot of satisfaction. I know I did my best to mix up the best weapons I could and it worked like a charm.

For this guide, I am going to give you my best combos in the game that helped me enjoy AC Valhalla the most and gave me an immersive experience as well.

5. Varin’s Axe works well with Blacksmith’s Hammer for a mixed style

The aggressive Viking style

Varin’s Axe works as a lethal weapon for anyone to use. You can use the best of this axe with its increased speed per hit, and putting it up together with the Blacksmith’s Hammer should give you an extra kickback for heavy enemies.

The hammer gives you a chance to score critical hits more than usual and you can even knock enemies down with those smashes. This can be good for your early game setup since you find Varin’s Axe early in the story and the Blacksmith’s Hammer at Bodilsburg Garrison, Lunden.

Varin’s Axe stats:

  • Atk: 55
  • Spd: 48
  • Stun: 60
  • Crit-Pre: 48
  • Wgt: 11

Blacksmith’s Hammer stats:

  • Atk: 141
  • Spd: 46
  • Stun: 187
  • Crit-Pre: 104
  • Wgt: 10

What makes this combo the best?

  • Health-focused build
  • Hard-hitting wield when upgraded
  • Rare combo is cool for young adults

4. Kopis and Briton Shield can help you balance health regen and speed

Smooth and slick

I’ve tried this so-called health combo since I needed some extra health when I fought some tough enemies that pack a serious punch - mostly the ones on the heavy class. Both the Kopis and Briton Shield can help you recover health and strike big blows at the same time.

I also used some poison runes for this one, and I can say that the results are very pleasing since you can see how you deal some poison damage over time while healing up when you parry or deal with some critical hits.

The Kopis can be acquired after besieging Portcestre and killing Fulke. The Briton Shield can be found in a chest beneath the Temple of Mithras.

Kopis stats:

  • Atk: 114
  • Spd: 81
  • Stun: 150
  • Crit-Pre: 130
  • Wgt: 6

Briton Shield stats:

  • Atk: 120
  • Spd: 48
  • Block: 150
  • Stun: 179
  • Crit-Pre: 89
  • Wgt: 10

What makes this combo the best?

  • Quick health regen with blocks and crits
  • Effective with more aoe runes
  • Speed-damage core in late game

3. Fafnir’s Fang and Sepulcher Axe gives you a longer reach

Made for the brave

I think this combo can help you extend your reach in terms of melee attacks. While you have less speed, the damage is worth the risk. You get to use bonus critical hits on enemies and each of those slashes can set the Sepulcher Axe on fire to add more damage.

Fafnir’s Fang should serve as the main hand weapon and you can see the magic work as the axe goes for wide attacks that can put some distance between you and your foes.

The Sepulcher Axe can be found in Offchurch when you pay the Tilting the Balance quest. This is in the same room where you fight King Burgred. Fafnir’s Fang is acquired after beating the Lost Drengr, Erik Loyalskull inside Hildesvini’s Crag.

Fafnir’s Fang stats:

  • Atk: 101
  • Spd: 52
  • Stun: 81
  • Crit-Pre: 84
  • Wgt: 16

Sepulcher Axe stats:

  • Atk: 117
  • Spd: 37
  • Stun: 106
  • Crit-Pre: 63
  • Wgt: 17

What makes this combo the best?

  • Longer weapon reach to avoid damage
  • Sepulcher Axe’s fire damage can take out enemies faster
  • Faster crit hit ratio

2. Soldier’s Flail and Yngling Seax works for fast and big damage builds

Cutting down enemies to a pulp

While it may seem weird to have two weapons with different attack styles, you can still get the best of it since the Soldier’s Flail can be used for sweeping attacks while you try to regain health or avoid slashes. The Yngling Seax works like a charm on this one since you can go for quick cuts.

On top of that, the best technique for you here is to attack with the Yngling Seax and then dodge or block and follow up with the flail to deal damage at a faster rate since its perk is extra speed.

The Soldier’s Flail can be found at the back of a dining hall in Chippenham. The Yngling Seax can be found early in the story in Nottfall.

Soldier’s Flail stats:

  • Atk: 100
  • Spd: 42
  • Stun: 109
  • Crit-Pre: 61
  • Wgt: 10

Yngling Seax stats:

  • Atk: 33
  • Spd: 80
  • Stun: 41
  • Crit-Pre: 69
  • Wgt: 9

What makes this combo the best?

  • Perks reflect each weapon well
  • Switch between speed or slow attacks
  • Less weight

1. Nothing beats the godly combo of Mjolnir and Gungnir

The power of the gods at your service

As two of the legendary weapons in the game, you can bet that both Mjolnir and Gungnir will give you the best output. Mjolnir can hit with a big stun all around and still add some extra sparks as its main perk. Gungnir has an extended force field - making it one of your best picks in big fights to create some space.

You can find Mjolnir after collecting all pieces of Thor’s armor by beating all three Daughters of Lerion and killing all members of the Order of the Ancients. The hammer is placed at a deep crater in Hordafylke in Norway.

Gungnir, on the other hand, can be obtained earlier than Mjolnir. You can find the spear in Goinnhellir in the quest ‘A Brother’s Keeper’. I failed to grab it in the first go, but there is a split path where you need to break an ice barrier to get the spear.

Mjolnir stats:

  • Atk: 142
  • Spd: 45
  • Stun: 188
  • Crit-Pre: 104
  • Wgt: 10

Gungnir stats:

  • Atk: 147
  • Spd: 52
  • Stun: 170
  • Crit-Pre: 117
  • Wgt: 13

What makes this combo the best?

  • Godly powers at your disposal
  • Both deal a lot of damage even without runes
  • More focus on power bonuses
