Available from Level 15, this gear is exactly what you need for your next trip to a Snowy area. It gives 85 protection against cold, so you’ll have one less thing to worry about when trying to gather Organic Polymer. It has a decent cost in terms of resources and it comes with multiple benefits. The one aspect that weights against it is the -25 heat protection, but it’s worth overlooking.

• Gather 82 x Hide and 33 X Fiber 
• Craft it in the Inventory 

2. Fur Armor

Stay warm and comfortable even at glacial temperatures 

If you aren’t an Ark veteran who defeated all the bosses and is playing just to exceed their limits, then chances are the Fur Gear is the armor for you. When it comes to exploring or living in cold areas, this armor offers everything you’d wish for. A 249 protection against cold places it close to the Tek Armor and the good news is that the Fur Gear is available from as early as level 23. It requires a considerable resource breakdown, but as long as you stay dry, its benefits are unbelievable. Feel the life of an Eskimo in prehistoric times and start gathering the materials!

Why is the Fur Armor great against cold: 

• It’s a thick, fluffy, heavy coat, so you can barely feel a hit through it
• It’s specially adapted to survive the conditions of the Snow Biome

• Reach level 23
• Unlock the engrams using 69 engram points 
• Gather Total Base Ingredients
• 320 ×     Pelt, Hair, or Wood, 40 × Hide, 18 × Fiber, 106 × Metal
• Craft it in the: Smithy, Argentavis Saddle, Castoroides Saddle, Thorny Dragon Saddle (Scorched Earth), Tek Replicator

This one is more than an Armor, it's reaching the peaks of Ark

Finally, the number one armor against cold is the famous Tek Armor. After all, this armor is number one when it comes to absolutely anything. Offering incredible protection against both cold and heat, it’s far superior to any other gear in the game, not to mention the increased protection against damage and radiation. Find your way using the Night vision incorporated in your helmet, target your enemies or explore the sky with the integrated jetpack! Owning this armor means defeating all the bosses and unraveling the next level of Ark Survival Evolved. 

Why is the Tek Armor great against cold: 

• 255 protection against cold 
• Perfect for exploring Snowy areas, as it protects against high falls and attacks 
• Made out of organic polymer, metal, and crystal so it can resist snow storms 
• Offers an additional +225 hypothermal bonus to the wearer

How to get the Tek Armor: 

• Reach End-Game and defeat Broodmother the: Lysrix (Beta, Alpha), Desert Titan, Dinopithecus King (Beta, Alpha), Moeder, Master of the Ocean (Beta, Alpha),  Rockwell (Beta, Alpha), Rockwell Prime
• Gather the ingredients: 600 ×     Crystal, 600 ×     Polymer, Organic Polymer, or Corrupted Nodule, 275 ×    Black Pearl, 100 × Element, 2250 × Metal Ingot or Scrap Metal Ingot
• Unlock the engrams 
• Craft it in the Tek Replicator
