[Top 20] Yakuza Kiwami Best MesuKing Cards (And How To Get Them)

You’ll spend most of the time doing this. What a drag.

Today we’ll be looking at the best MesuKing cards from Yakuza Kiwami which can be attained anytime during the game.

I won’t lie to you, I really hate this segment. It’s just a copy-paste of the Catfight Betting system (which I also hated) from Yakuza 0 but the only good thing about this is that not much money is involved in this.
But it’s still the same agonizing rock, paper and scissors game of chance segment that we HAVE to go through for upgrades. To fully upgrade the Dragon of Dojima style, you’ll have to do a bunch of side activities such as Mahjong and Shogi which can be difficult to do so. Playing the MesuKing is one of them. There are two cards to find. One’s the Insect cards themselves and the other is Technique cards which can make or break your build.

Well, let’s start off with the list. Hopefully, this will make your Dragon Style completion journey a bit less difficult.

20. Mystic Heal

Quite “Mystifying”, I must say.

We’ll start with the best Technique cards first and the first one here is the Mystic Heal card.

It’s just as the card says, you got to lose either a turn or a round to activate this card. It recovers the health of the bug that you’ve selected which can turn the tides of the battle. I mean, health recovery mid-battle would be an edge that anyone would love to want.

To get this card, you’ll have to purchase it from a vendor located in Purgatory for 10,000 yen.

What’s Great about Mystic Heal:

  • Health recovery mid-battle can provide an edge.
  • Can turn the tides of a battle in your favor.
  • No special technique points are required for the activation of this card.

How to get Mystic Heal: Purchase the card from the vendor in Purgatory for 10,000 yen.

19. Super Double Drop

… And there are moments like this as well which can be painful.

Up next, we have the Super Double Drop technique card which can also be found from the same vendor at Purgatory.

It’s basically a damage-dealing technique card which can really lower the enemy’s health bar with this maneuver. If you have a Paper-based Insect card and you use paper by chance in a move, then this card will be activated and victory is yours for the taking.

What’s Great about Super Double Drop:

  • Massive damage is dealt to the opponent granting the player an upper hand.
  • The tide of the battle is changed with this card.
  • Higher chances of beating the opponent with Paper-Orientation.

How to get Super Double Drop: Purchase the card from the vendor in Purgatory for 10,000 yen.

18. Counter Heal

Looks beautiful, I must say.

Counter Heal is next up on the list and this too is sold in the Purgatory vendor shop.

Activating this card would be really tricky in a given situation considering the fact that you have to win a turn after being hit by the opponent’s finisher attack. Then and only then, will your health be regenerated.

Like I said, tricky. But once you pull this maneuver off, this can act as a trump card and can confirm your win to a greater extent.

What’s Great about Counter Heal:

  • Health recovery mid-battle can provide an edge.
  • Can turn the tides of a battle in your favor.
  • No special technique points are required for activation of this card.

How to get Counter Heal: Purchase the card from the vendor in Purgatory for 10,000 yen.

17. Super Giant Swing

This reminds me of when my Mama grabbed me like this. Definitely not in a swimsuit, of course.

Next up is the Super Giant Swing technique card which, thankfully, you don’t have to buy.

This one is a unique skill card in such a manner that it's compatible with Paper-based cards you have to win a round while using paper to activate it. Like most technique cards, this one has pretty massive damage to deliver but is very tricky to activate.

You can find this card inside the Pocket Circuit Stadium near the Parts Shop.

What’s Great about Super Giant Swing:

  • Massive damage dealt to the opponent granting the player an upper hand.

16. Finish Time

… Yeah. Whatever this card is saying.

And Finish Time comes the next card in the list which is a grappling technique card.

This one is a Scissor-based technique card where it raises the power of finish attacks delivered. To activate this, you must win a round after “Selecting at the 10 count with a Finish Attack”. Meaning, you have to wait 10 seconds and then select your finisher (with the hopes of being paired with a Scissor-based card)

To get this card, you need to complete substory #72.

  • Massive damage dealt to the opponent granting the player an upper hand.

15. Tie Breaker

Uuuhhhh ……

Tie Breaker comes next on the list which is a Scissor-based technique card.

Great thing about this card is that you take no damage during a tie. That’s when both you and the opponent have the same move selected for e.g. when both have a rock in one round, you mash the button repeatedly to win. No technique is required to activate this card, so that’s another plus.

You have to finish substory # 77 to get this card, which can be quite a hassle.

  • No Technique points required.
  • Tide of the battle is changed with this card.
  • Higher chances of beating the opponent with Scissor-Orientation.

14. Super Romero Special

Definitely looks painful.

Super Romero Special is another card on the list which is well-deserving of it.

This one is a Scissor-based technique card which delivers massive damage to the opponent’s health. Other than the fact that most of the animations are based on wrestling moves and fanservice, that’s about it. Really.

  • Massive damage dealt to the opponent granting the player an upper hand.

FALCON … PUNCH!!

And now, we have the Super Krestel Punch card which is another Rock-based technique card focusing on Striking.

Like most Technique cards, this delivers massive damage to the opponent just like the Super Romero Special but works with Rock-based cards more. It can be a game-changer as well.

Super Elbow Drop is next on the list and this one is almost the same as the previous card.

Works great with Rock-based settings and can deliver massive damage, you know the drill.

There’s the Kuwana’s Ladybug.

Now that we’re done with the Technique cards, we finally get on to the Insect based cards which are the second half of what you might need to find.

Fanservice at its best everyone.

Moving up, we have the Western Hercules Beetle which is well worth the addition to this list.

It’s got comparatively more striking, grappling and throwing compared to the previous card but the same health, technique and strength to combat other insects which can give the player quite an edge. Oh, and it’s Paper-based. Now, you know what Technique cards to use it with.

7. Iwasakikusa Cicada

Wish there was a more clear picture to this.

A Rock-based Insect card is next on the list but it’s got a catch. I’ll tell you why.

It may have 70 technique which can’t work with most cards but its higher Health and Strength can prove to be just as effective and formidable in battle as any other insect card. Hell, even better I’d say if you play your cards right. (Bdd dmm tss).

5. Atlas Beetle

Wait a minute … Isn’t that Jennifer from the Catgirl game in Yakuza 0?

Atlas Beetle comes next on the list which is a Paper-based Insect card.

The thing about stats is that they can be pretty varied  the same can be said of this Insect card. Less Technique but more Health, Strength and Throwing makes it up for that.

Like the previous two cards, it’s got abnormally high Health and Strength but it’s abnormally Low Technique which is made up of its Moderate Striking, Throwing and Grappling stats.

Getting this particular card is a … hassle to say the least. You have to win 20 MesuKing battles in total to get this card from the Professor. You can just replay Tomohiro all you want since he chooses nothing but Rock. That’s … easy win, I guess.

And on the top of the list, we have the Hercules Beetle which is a Paper-based Insect card.

It goes toe-on-toe with the Ashy Gray Ladybug for its abnormally high Health and Strength as well as Throwing! But the fact that it has got a very low Technique is irritating, to say the least. Well, if you know your moves, you can win with this one as well.
