  • Her Liked and Neutral gifts are easy for players to get as most of them are seasonal foragables such as Daffodil, Common Mushroom, Dandelion, Ginger, Hazelnut, Leek, Snow Yam, and Winter Root.
  • After reaching her Four Hearts event, you get the cookie recipe, which can save you from buying it from Gus.
  • After reaching 7 hearts with Evelyn, she will send the player a recipe in the mail for Rice Pudding.

2-Krobus (S-Tier)

He lives in the sewers and is normally not seen outside interacting with other villagers. In the sewers, he has a small shop where he sells a variety of rare goods. Krobus is one of the friendliest characters, and despite appearing standoffish at first, he is rather caring, which earns him a spot in the S-tier.

Krobus Benefits:

  • Krobus’ shop always sells certain items such as Void Eggs, Void Essence, Solar Essence, and more. A few items are also available every day until purchased.
  • Every day, different items in a specific quantity will be available for purchase.
  • After reaching 3 hearts with Krobus, he will send you a recipe in the mail for the Dark Sign and it's a lovely sign variety.
  • His Loved items are Gold Bars and Quartz, and he likes all Universal Neutrals, all eggs, all fruits except fruit tree fruit, and all milk, which will make it easy to have something to gift him with.

Krobus Stats:

  • Birthday: Winter 1
  • Krobus' Shop is open all hours every day, even on festival days.
  • He is also available as a roommate though he isn’t a romanceable character.

How to get Krobus: Krobus can always be found in the sewers once the player obtains the Rusty Key.

 

3-Emily (S-Tier)

She works with Gus, who employs her part-time at the saloon. She is best friends with Sandy.

Emily Benefits: 

  • At any friendship level greater than zero friendship points, you may receive a gift in the mail from Emily. The chance of receiving a gift in the mail increases as your friendship with Emily increases. These items are Cloth, Sea Urchin, and Wool.
  • Players get access to her sewing machine, and later she gifts them their own machine to make new clothes. 
  • Once married, Emily will move into the farmhouse. Like other marriage candidates, she will add her own room to the right of the bedroom. Her room is a great addition to the farmhouse, as it looks great and can go well with most themes.
  • After reaching 3 hearts, she will send you a recipe in the mail for Salad.
  • After reaching 7 hearts, she will send you a recipe in the mail for Red Plate.

Emily Stats:

  • Birthday: Spring 27
  • Her Loved items are different kinds of gems, wool, and cloth. Her Liked items are Quartz and daffodils.
  • She is friends with Sandy.

How to get Emily: She can be found at home every day until 3 PM and works most evenings at The Stardrop Saloon starting at about 4:00 PM.

 

4-Penny (S-Tier)

Through her dialogue and heart events, players discover how kind and caring Penny is to her town and fellow villagers. This is shown by her dedication to teaching the young children of the town several times a week.

Penny Benefits: 

  • Her liked items are easy to get, being dandelions, leeks, and all artifacts included, which is rather unique. This makes it easy to increase friendship levels with her.
  • Once married, Penny will set up a small garden behind the farmhouse, where she'll sometimes go to read. She will continue to work at the Museum and travel to town to work there on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

  • She is one of the marriage candidates who actually helps out on the farm by doing chores.

  • She is considerate and loyal, and she isn't afraid to protect her loved ones.

6-Willy (S-Tier)

Willy is a villager who lives south of Pelican Town on the Beach where he sells bait and fishing supplies in his Fish Shop. Willy spends most of his time fishing just outside his shop when he is not operating the sale counters at his shop. He's often seen at the saloon in the evenings, especially during the winter. He lives close to Elliott, with the two of them being the only residents of the beach.

As the only fisherman in town, he is the expert on all things fish-related. This also means that any fishing-related items can be bought from him, as well as some sea-themed decor.

Willy Benefits: 

  • His shop is open every day but will be closed on Saturday if the weather is nice enough for him to go fishing.
  • He provides players with their first fishing rod and later sells upgraded versions.

7-Linus (S-Tier)

Linus is a villager who lives in a small tent north of Pelican Town near The Mines. He is a loner by choice, as he considers himself an outcast of the town. He does not trust people and doesn't seem to consider anyone in town his friend due to the fact that most people don't treat him well. 

Linus is in the S tier because he is the most accepting character in Pelican Town and doesn't judge the player for what they do. He is also kind and cares about his environment, such as not wanting food to go to waste and having requests to clean up the trash in the area.

Linus Benefits: 

  • It is easy to increase friendship levels with him as his liked items are all foragables except for foraged minerals, coconuts, and cactus fruit.
  • After reaching 3 hearts with Linus, he will send you a recipe in the mail for Sashimi. It is probably one of the first recipes players will get because of how easy it is to raise heart levels.
  • After reaching seven hearts, he will send you a recipe in the mail for Fish Tacos.

Linus Stats:

  • Birthday: Winter 3
  • He is friends with the Wizard and Leo.
  • He is an unmarriageable character.

How to get Linus: He is usually found anywhere in the Mountains, either by the lake, his tent, or the Spa.

 

8-Gus (S-Tier)

As the town carpenter, Robin is an essential character for players and the townspeople as well, providing them with all important buildings, furniture, and building supplies.

Robin Benefits:

  • Robin sells wood, stone, and furniture. She can also upgrade the Farmhouse and construct new farm buildings such as Sheds, Barns, and Coops.
  • In addition to permanent stock, which Robin has for sale every day, she has a rotating stock of furniture that changes daily.
  • Her Liked items are Hardwood and Quartz, with Quartz being the easier item to get because it can be easily multiplied.

10-George (S-Tier)

  • It’ll be easy to rack up friendship points as one of his liked items is a daffodil, which is easy to get and collect.
  • He will send stones in the mail as a gift, a great and necessary resource.

  • After reaching 7 hearts, he will send the player a recipe in the mail for Spiy Eel. This dish is perfect for mining as it provides players with luck and speed buffs.
