1-Evelyn (S-Tier)

Evelyn is a villager who lives in Pelican Town and is in charge of the town's flowers. She is married to George and lives with her grandson, Alex. When players meet all the townspeople for the first time, Evelyn will give them permission to call her "Granny," which is very endearing. She is one of the sweetest and kindest villagers in the town, and who doesn’t love a sweet granny? This is why she ranks first in the tier.

Evelyn Benefits: 

• At any friendship level greater than zero friendship points, you may receive a gift in the mail from Evelyn. The items can be Bread, Chocolate Cake, or Cookies.
• Her Liked and Neutral gifts are easy for players to get as most of them are seasonal foragables such as Daffodil, Common Mushroom, Dandelion, Ginger, Hazelnut, Leek, Snow Yam, and Winter Root.
• After reaching her Four Hearts event, you get the cookie recipe, which can save you from buying it from Gus.
• After reaching 7 hearts with Evelyn, she will send the player a recipe in the mail for Rice Pudding.

Evelyn Stats:

• Birthday: Winter 20
• She is married to George.
• She is a Grandmother to Alex.
• She is an unmarriageable character.

How to get Evelyn: She can usually be found in her home's kitchen or tending to the gardens in the center of town. On the 2nd of every season, she has an appointment at the clinic, and on the 23rd of every season, she accompanies George to his appointment.

 

2-Krobus (S-Tier)

Krobus is a shadow person and is the only friendly monster players will encounter; however, he still refers to other hostile monsters as his friends. He lives in the sewers and is normally not seen outside interacting with other villagers. In the sewers, he has a small shop where he sells a variety of rare goods. Krobus is one of the friendliest characters, and despite appearing standoffish at first, he is rather caring, which earns him a spot in the S-tier.

Krobus Benefits:

• Krobus’ shop always sells certain items such as Void Eggs, Void Essence, Solar Essence, and more. A few items are also available every day until purchased.
• Every day, different items in a specific quantity will be available for purchase.
• After reaching 3 hearts with Krobus, he will send you a recipe in the mail for the Dark Sign and it's a lovely sign variety.
• His Loved items are Gold Bars and Quartz, and he likes all Universal Neutrals, all eggs, all fruits except fruit tree fruit, and all milk, which will make it easy to have something to gift him with.

Krobus Stats:

• Birthday: Winter 1
• Krobus' Shop is open all hours every day, even on festival days.
• He is also available as a roommate though he isn’t a romanceable character.

How to get Krobus: Krobus can always be found in the sewers once the player obtains the Rusty Key.

 

3-Emily (S-Tier)

Emily is a villager who lives in Pelican Town. Her home is south of the town square, right next to Jodi's, at 2 Willow Lane. She loves to make her own clothing, but fabric can be difficult to come by in town. Emily lives with her sister Haley, and together they care for their parent's home while they are away traveling. She works with Gus, who employs her part-time at the saloon. She is best friends with Sandy.

Emily Benefits: 

• At any friendship level greater than zero friendship points, you may receive a gift in the mail from Emily. The chance of receiving a gift in the mail increases as your friendship with Emily increases. These items are Cloth, Sea Urchin, and Wool.
• Players get access to her sewing machine, and later she gifts them their own machine to make new clothes. 
• Once married, Emily will move into the farmhouse. Like other marriage candidates, she will add her own room to the right of the bedroom. Her room is a great addition to the farmhouse, as it looks great and can go well with most themes.
• After reaching 3 hearts, she will send you a recipe in the mail for Salad.
• After reaching 7 hearts, she will send you a recipe in the mail for Red Plate.

Emily Stats:

• Birthday: Spring 27
• Her Loved items are different kinds of gems, wool, and cloth. Her Liked items are Quartz and daffodils.
• She is friends with Sandy.
• Her sister is Haley.
• She is a marriageable character.

How to get Emily: She can be found at home every day until 3 PM and works most evenings at The Stardrop Saloon starting at about 4:00 PM.

 

4-Penny (S-Tier)

Penny is a villager who lives in Pelican Town. She's one of the twelve characters available to marry. Her trailer is just east of the center of town, west of the river. She teaches Vincent and Jas. Through her dialogue and heart events, players discover how kind and caring Penny is to her town and fellow villagers. This is shown by her dedication to teaching the young children of the town several times a week.

Penny Benefits: 

• Her liked items are easy to get, being dandelions, leeks, and all artifacts included, which is rather unique. This makes it easy to increase friendship levels with her.
• Once married, Penny will set up a small garden behind the farmhouse, where she'll sometimes go to read. She will continue to work at the Museum and travel to town to work there on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
• The gifts she gives while married are usually different food items.
• She is one of the marriage candidates who actually helps out on the farm by doing chores.

Penny Stats: 

• Birthday: Fall 2
• She is friends with Maru and Sam.
• Her mother is Pam.
• She is a marriageable character.

How to get Penny: Penny can usually be found in town reading under the tree by Emily and Haley’s house or cleaning up at the trailer she shares with Pam. On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, she tutors Jas and Vincent at the museum, walking them both home afterwards.

 

5-Abigail (S-Tier)

Abigail lives at Pierre's General Store in Pelican Town with her parents, Pierre and Caroline, in the apartment behind her father's shop. She is considered different from what her parents seem to want her to be, and her relationship with them can be tense, especially with her father. Being a musical person, she is also the drummer for Sam and Sebastian’s band.

Abigail Benefits:

• One of her Liked items is Quartz.
• She is considerate and loyal, and she isn't afraid to protect her loved ones.
• Once married, Abigail will move into the farmhouse. Like other marriage candidates, she will add her own room to the right of the bedroom. She'll also set up a small area behind the farmhouse where she'll sometimes go to practice her flute.

Abigail Stats:

• Birthday: Fall 13
• Her favorite season is Fall, as she loves Pumpkins.
• She is friends with Sam and Sebastian.
• She is a marriageable character.

How to get Abigail: On Sunny days during all seasons except winter and on rainy days, she'll often be standing on the bridge at the river east of Pierre's General Store in the afternoon, around 1 PM.

 

6-Willy (S-Tier)

Willy is a villager who lives south of Pelican Town on the Beach where he sells bait and fishing supplies in his Fish Shop. Willy spends most of his time fishing just outside his shop when he is not operating the sale counters at his shop. He's often seen at the saloon in the evenings, especially during the winter. He lives close to Elliott, with the two of them being the only residents of the beach.

As the only fisherman in town, he is the expert on all things fish-related. This also means that any fishing-related items can be bought from him, as well as some sea-themed decor.

Willy Benefits: 

• His shop is open every day but will be closed on Saturday if the weather is nice enough for him to go fishing.
• He provides players with their first fishing rod and later sells upgraded versions.
• He is one of the few villagers that gives players the most recipes, getting a recipe after 3, 5, 7, and 9 hearts.
• He has the only access to Ginger Island until players can get an obelisk.

• He is friends with Elliot.

How to get Willy: Most days Willy wakes up early after 6 AM, and fishes at the beach for a few hours before operating his fish shop on the beach between 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM. He'll often do more fishing on the beach after closing up shop until about 10:00 PM. In the winter, he goes to the Saloon after work.

 

7-Linus (S-Tier)

Linus is a villager who lives in a small tent north of Pelican Town near The Mines. He is a loner by choice, as he considers himself an outcast of the town. He does not trust people and doesn't seem to consider anyone in town his friend due to the fact that most people don't treat him well. 

Linus is in the S tier because he is the most accepting character in Pelican Town and doesn't judge the player for what they do. He is also kind and cares about his environment, such as not wanting food to go to waste and having requests to clean up the trash in the area.

Linus Benefits: 

• It is easy to increase friendship levels with him as his liked items are all foragables except for foraged minerals, coconuts, and cactus fruit.
• After reaching 3 hearts with Linus, he will send you a recipe in the mail for Sashimi. It is probably one of the first recipes players will get because of how easy it is to raise heart levels.
• After reaching seven hearts, he will send you a recipe in the mail for Fish Tacos.

Linus Stats:

• Birthday: Winter 3
• He is friends with the Wizard and Leo.
• He is an unmarriageable character.

How to get Linus: He is usually found anywhere in the Mountains, either by the lake, his tent, or the Spa.

 

8-Gus (S-Tier)

Gus is a villager who lives and works at The Stardrop Saloon in Pelican Town, which provides a variety of food and cooking recipes for sale as well as functioning as the community get-together place where the other villagers go at the end of the workday and on Fridays. Because he provides players with purchasable food items as well as several recipes, including the recipe to make Triple Shot Espresso, he is well deserving of being in the S tier.

Gus Benefits:

• At any friendship level greater than zero friendship points, you may receive a gift in the mail from Gus. These items are Baked Fish, Bean Hotpot, Fish Taco, Omelet, Pancakes, Spaghetti, or Vegetable Medley. Each item is great as it is a good source of food or can be given to other villagers as they are also loved items.
• If the player has unlocked the beach resort on Ginger Island, Gus will leave on random days to tend the resort's bar. A variety of alcoholic items and the recipe for Tropical Curry can be purchased.
• His Liked gift is daffodils, which are easy to find as a foraged item.

Gus Stats: 

• Birthday: Summer 8
• After reaching 3 hearts, he will send you a recipe in the mail for Salmon Dinner.
• After reaching 7 hearts, he will send you a recipe in the mail for Cranberry Sauce.
• He is an unmarriageable character.

How to get Gus: During the saloon's open hours, Gus can be found manning the bar.

 

9-Robin (S-Tier)

Robin is the town carpenter and runs her own carpentry shop at home. She is married to Demetrius and lives with her daughter Maru and son Sebastian. Maru is her daughter with Demetrius, and Sebastian is from an earlier relationship. She attends exercise classes on Tuesdays with Jodi, Caroline, Emily, and Marnie.

As the town carpenter, Robin is an essential character for players and the townspeople as well, providing them with all important buildings, furniture, and building supplies.

Robin Benefits:

• Robin sells wood, stone, and furniture. She can also upgrade the Farmhouse and construct new farm buildings such as Sheds, Barns, and Coops.
• In addition to permanent stock, which Robin has for sale every day, she has a rotating stock of furniture that changes daily.
• Her Liked items are Hardwood and Quartz, with Quartz being the easier item to get because it can be easily multiplied.

Robin Stats:

• Birthday: Fall 21
• Her Loved items are Goat cheese, Spaghetti, and Peaches.
• After reaching 7 hearts, she will send you a recipe in the mail for Pumpkin Soup, which is a great food source for buffs.
• She is an unmarriageable character.

How to get Robin: Most days Robin is at her shop at 24 Mountain Road, on The Mountain, at 9 AM and is there until 5 PM, where she often takes walks in the mountain area around her home after work. Her shop is closed on Tuesdays while she has the weekly exercise class at Caroline's home.

 

10-George (S-Tier)

George is a villager who lives in Pelican Town. He is married to Evelyn and lives with his grandson, Alex. George is in the S tier because, although he starts out gruff towards the player, over time his story is learned and he begins to soften up, showing he can be rather thoughtful and caring to his friends and loved ones.

George Benefits:

• It’ll be easy to rack up friendship points as one of his liked items is a daffodil, which is easy to get and collect.
• He will send stones in the mail as a gift, a great and necessary resource.
• After reaching 3 hearts, he will send the player a recipe in the mail for Fried Eel.
• After reaching 7 hearts, he will send the player a recipe in the mail for Spiy Eel. This dish is perfect for mining as it provides players with luck and speed buffs.

George Stats:

• Birthday: Fall 24
• His loved items are Fried Mushroom and Leeks.
• He is an unmarriageable character.

How to get George: He can be found most days at home watching TV.
