Stardew Valley Best Guy To Marry

Many of the numerous villagers who live in Stardew Valley are available for players to date and wed. There are a combined twelve possible spouses: six bachelors, and six bachelorettes. In this article, we will highlight the six dashing bachelors from Stardew Valley and provide information about each of them.

6-Alex

Best Stardew Valley Guy to Marry

An athletic guy, Alex loves sports and enjoys talking about becoming a professional athlete, which he does rather arrogantly. He lives with his grandparents, George and Evelyn, who are his mother's parents. He often hangs out at the beach and works out in his room or the men’s locker room at the Spa. He works part-time in the summer at the ice cream stand.

As the player gets to know him better, Alex stops bragging so much and loses some of his cockiness, revealing a soft and caring side.

One of the best ways to increase heart levels is by giving gifts on his birthday on Summer 13, as it will have an 8× effect and show a unique dialogue. He is rather easy to gift, as he likes all of the Universal Likes except Void Eggs.

Alex Review:

  • He is a pet lover, being the proud owner of a dog named Dusty, which players will be able to see later on in the game.
  • Once married, Alex will set up a workout space behind the farmhouse where he'll sometimes go to lift weights.
  • On rainy nights, Alex may offer you dinner: Survival Burger, Dish O' The Sea, Fried Eel, Crispy Bass, or Baked Fish. On days when he stays inside the farmhouse all day, he may make you breakfast: Omelet, Hashbrowns, or Pancakes.
  • On days when he stays inside the farmhouse all day and he offers you breakfast, two out of three possible breakfasts are ingredients in one of his loved gifts, the Complete Breakfast. This is an easy way to quickly increase your friendship with him once you're married.
  • Alex continues to take care of his grandparents even after marriage by spending his Mondays at their house, showing just how much he loves and cares for them.

Alex details:

  • Birthday: Summer 13
  • Address: 1 River Road, Pelican Town
  • Family Members: Evelyn (Grandmother) and George (Grandfather)
  • Friends: Haley, who he will dance with at the Flower Dance if neither is dancing with the player
  • Best Gifts: Complete Breakfast, Salmon Dinner

5-Elliot

Best Stardew Valley Guy to Marry

Elliot is a creative man, a writer with a flair for drama who dreams of writing a magnificent novel. He lives alone in a cabin on the beach, which gives him the space he needs for writing inspiration. He is also a musical man, owning a piano, which he might let you play if you are good enough friends.

One of the best ways to increase heart levels is by giving gifts on his birthday on Fall 4 as it will have an 8× effect and show a unique dialogue. His loved items are a bit difficult to acquire early on in the game, but no fear; he still enjoys all of the Universal likes, such as flowers, fruits, and vegetables.

During Spring, Summer, and Fall, players must first acquire two friendship hearts with Elliott before being allowed inside his cabin. Players at any friendship level may enter during the Winter between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. This is good to keep in mind for gifting because his schedule is a little hard to remember as he often goes to different places in the valley.

Elliot Review:

  • He is one of the older bachelors in Town.
  • Once married, Elliott will set up a small garden behind the farmhouse where he'll sometimes go to read.
  • On rainy mornings and mornings when Elliott stays inside the farmhouse all day, he may offer you Coffee. On rainy nights, he may offer you dinner: Baked Fish, Fried Calamari, Chowder, or Fish Stew. On New Years' Eve (Winter 28), he'll give you a bottle of Wine.

Elliot details:

  • Birthday: Fall 5
  • Address: Cabin, The Beach
  • Family Members: None
  • Friends: Willy and Leah
  • Best Gifts: Crab Cakes, Duck Feather, Lobster, Pomegranate, Squid Ink, Tom Kha Soup

4-Shane

Best Stardew Valley Guy to Marry

Shane lives with his aunt Marnie on her ranch with his goddaughter Jas, where he rents a room and helps out by taking care of the chickens. He works as a stock clerk at JoJaMart and spends most of his free time in the Stardrop Saloon. When players first meet him, Shane is closed-off and rude, seems to be suffering from depression, and is often seen drinking heavily. Over time, though, as players try to befriend him, he starts to change and open up, revealing his troubles and eventually going through some character development.

His usual schedule consists of leaving his house early to work at JojaMart from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. in the evening, where he then spends the rest of the night drinking at the Stardrop Saloon. He is one of the characters whose schedule gets affected depending on how the player chooses to play the game, either by completing the Community Center or working with JojaMart.

One of the best ways to increase heart levels is by giving gifts on his birthday in Spring 20, as it will have an 8× effect and show a unique dialogue. Shane is one of the easiest bachelors to gift, as Pizza and Eggs can be easily acquired. Seeing as he is usually found at the Stardrop Saloon, Pizza can be bought for him there, and if players have a chicken farm, they can set aside some eggs to gift to him.

Shane Review:

  • He is one of the older bachelors in town, as revealed in Secret Note #7.
  • Judging by the 'Mega Station' console in Shane's bedroom, he is a gamer. He used to play for his high school’s varsity grid ball team and must love his team a lot as he always wears the jersey except at work and during the Flower Dance.
  • Once married, Shane will set up a small chicken coop behind the farmhouse, where he'll sometimes go to visit with his chicken, "Charlie". Fun fact: Shane always wanted to have a chicken farm.
  • On rainy days, Shane may offer you Beer, Large Egg, Pale Ale, Void Egg, or Pepper Poppers. On days when Shane stays inside the farmhouse all day, he may offer you an Omelet, Pepper Poppers, or Pizza.

Shane details:

  • Birthday: Spring 20
  • Address: Marnie's Ranch, Cindersap Forest
  • Family Members: Marnie (Aunt), Jas (Goddaughter)
  • Friends: None
  • Best Gifts: Beer, Hot Pepper, Pepper Poppers, Pizza, Eggs (except Void Eggs)

3-Sam

Best Stardew Valley Guy to Marry

Sam is an outgoing and energetic young man with a passion for music and playing the guitar. He works part-time at JojaMart. In his free time, he plays guitar, skateboards, and can be found playing video games. He also enjoys spending time with his friends at the Stardrop Saloon to hang out and play billiards.

Sam is another character whose schedule gets affected depending on how the player chooses to play the game, as he works part-time at JojaMart on Mondays and Wednesdays.

One of the best ways to increase heart levels is by giving gifts on his birthday on Summer 17, as it will have an 8× effect and show a unique dialogue. He particularly likes Joja Cola and is the only villager to enjoy it.

Sam Review:

  • He hopes to start a band with his friends as soon as he has enough songs and is often seen practicing with Sebastian.
  • Once married, Sam will set up a half-pipe behind the farmhouse where he'll sometimes go to practice his skateboarding tricks.
  • On rainy days, Sam may offer you a gift that he found "rolling around in the back of a drawer": Cactus Fruit, Coconut, Earth Crystal, or Geode. On rainy nights, he may offer you Pizza. On days when Sam stays inside the farmhouse all day, he may offer you instant Pancakes, explaining that he never learned to cook.

Sam details:

  • Birthday: Summer 17
  • Address: 1 Willow Lane, Pelican Town
  • Family Members: Kent (Father), Jodi (Mother), and Vincent (Brother)
  • Friends: Sebastian, Abigail, Penny
  • Best Gifts: Cactus Fruit, Maple Bar, Pizza, Tigerseye, Joja Cola

2-Harvey

Best Stardew Valley Guy to Marry

Harvey is the only doctor in the area, which is fortunate because he does an excellent job at it and has gained the respect of the locals. He oversees the town's medical facility and resides above it. He cares deeply about the well-being of the residents. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, Harvey performs the yearly or quarterly examinations for the locals. The rest of the week, he works the clinic counter in the morning and goes for a walk in the afternoon.

Giving him gifts on his birthday on Winter 14 is one of the best strategies to raise heart rates since it will have an 8-effect and display a distinctive dialogue. One of the group's oldest members, Harvey has a pretty experienced palate and appreciates numerous artisanal goods, including pickles and wines.

Harvey Review:

  • He is one of the older bachelors in town.
  • Once married, Harvey will set up a small garden behind the farmhouse where he'll sometimes go to read.
  • He will continue to work at the clinic and travel to town to work there on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
  • On mornings when Harvey stays inside the farmhouse all day, he may offer you Complete Breakfast. On rainy nights he may offer you dinner: Salmon Dinner, Crispy Bass, Fried Eel, Carp Surprise, or Vegetable Medley.
  • he may admit a fondness for jazz music, as he listens to it when finalizing his medical reports.
  • Harvey collects plane models, and proudly displays them in his room, in addition to a fully functioning broadcast radio. He seems to also be a fan of Jazz music.

Harvey details:

  • Birthday: Winter 14
  • Address: Medical Clinic, Pelican Town
  • Family Members: None
  • Friends: Maru who works with him at the Clinic
  • Best Gifts: Coffee, Pickles, Super Meal, Truffle Oil, Wine

1-Sebastian

Best Stardew Valley Guy to Marry

Sebastian shares a home in the Mountains with his mother Robin, stepfather Demetrius, and half-sister Maru. He has a little "emo" disposition, prefers darkness to light, and shows interest in things that most people would find spooky. He regularly muses on topics like death, the meaning of life, and other philosophical topics. It has been suggested that he may experience social depression and anxiety. Both Sebastian and Sam, his best buddy, are a little rebellious, albeit Sebastian is a little more subdued about it.

He likes to read books and graphic novels, program video games, and participate in tabletop role-playing games. He has a passion for science fiction and fantasy. He appears to maintain his motorcycle on a semi-regular basis. He also owns a motorcycle. As a freelance programmer, Sebastian complains that others don't take him seriously. He is unhappy in the valley and longs to move to the metropolis at some point.

Giving him a gift on his birthday, which falls on Winter 10, is one of the finest strategies to raise heart levels because it will result in an increase of 8 friendship points and a special exchange. He can be a little challenging to gift because a lot of the products are just Neutral Likes for him, unlike most villagers, whose Liked items are different from his.

Sebastian Review:

  • Despite being good friends with Sam and Abigail, Sebastian is not a very social person and expresses in his first heart event that he needs time to himself.
  • Sebastian is the only villager to like Flounder as a gift. This may be a reference to The Little Mermaid, specifically the characters Flounder and Sebastian.
  • Sebastian loves Pumpkin Soup, which is a recipe the player can receive from Robin at 7 Hearts. This suggests he loves his mother's cooking.
  • Once married, Sebastian will set up a small area behind the farmhouse for his motorcycle, and sometimes go there to work on it.
  • On mornings when Sebastian stays inside the farmhouse all day, he may offer you Coffee. On rainy days, he may offer you a gift he found in "the caves": Obsidian, Void Essence, Bat Wing, Frozen Tear, Amethyst, or Cave Carrot. On New Years Eve (Winter 28), he'll give you a Beer to celebrate the new year.

Sebastian details:

  • Birthday: Winter 10
  • Address: 24 Mountain Road, The Mountain
  • Family Members: Robin (Mother), Maru (Half-Sister), Demetrius (Step-Father)
  • Friends: Abigail, Sam
  • Best Gifts: Frozen Tear, Obsidian, Pumpkin Soup, Sashimi, Void Egg, Quartz, Flounder
