How to make Minecraft look TOO realistic?

There are some resource packs out there for Minecraft that makes the game look absolutely incredible. They add new textures with amazing quality, new 3D depth to blocks, objects, and so on.

10. URBAN

We are starting our list with URBAN. It is a resource pack that creates amazing textures for the game that gets as high as 1024x. Used together with the BSL shader pack, the resource pack simply looks amazing.

Urban adds a lot more to not only the textures we all know and love, but also subtle things like adding more complexity to things such as flowers, grass, and so on. Overall, the resource pack creates an environment in Minecraft where it looks absolutely beautiful, not matter how you look at it.

Additional Realism focuses on making the game as high-fidelity and good looking as possible, and while it is trying to do that, the only focus is not on the blocks’ textures.

The main focus is given to things like how good the water looks or how immersive and simply impressive the sky looks also. These changes, combined with the changes done to how lighting works makes this resource pack a great choice for people who want to experience Minecraft as realistically as possible.

We very rarely see some good stylistic substance along with realism when it comes to Minecraft resource pack, but this is definitely one of the resource packs created for Minecraft that is just overflowing with style.

Every building, every landscape looks like a new story and adventure in the making with this resource pack, the lighting is amazing, and the way tools and other items have been changed make them look like they came straight out of an RPG game. 7. Meteor (LMX)

Also called Luracasmus Modern Extreme resource pack, LMX creates a texture pack that is very similar to the first texture packs that were trying to turn the game into something much more realistic. The textures don’t really fit the vibe of the game, but that’s alright!

The textures are realistic, and almost feel like they were taken out of a different game altogether. Some people may really enjoy this aesthetic and the way of approaching texture design, like the people who enjoy old-school texture packs with distinct styles more than the current ones. Definitely understandable and recommended if you are a fan of such textures and models.

  • For modern building, this resource pack is a good way to go.

There are realistic textures, and there is ModernArch. All of the textures in the game basically real, and with stylistic changes that make the game look more modern and industrial, there are a lot of different ways to go for design and overall playing the game.

The resource pack is also not afraid to change models completely to fit into the aesthetic and changes things like levers and so on to look much more industrial and modern. 5. Optimum Realism

Want something not as crowded as some resource packs may be? Well, Optimum Realism is a great point to start with such a request. The textures are simple, yet highly detailed.

The sky, the blocks, lighting, nothing is left behind to make this resource pack look as realistic and visually pleasing as possible, while also making it a bit brighter than other resource packs like the one we discussed before this resource pack. The shadows are strong, the blocks are shiny, and they haven’t been looking this good for a while.

Some blocks like bricks are simply astonishing to look at. Definitely a recommend for people who like realistic resource packs for Minecraft.

How Optimum Realism makes Things Better:

  • Makes the game look realistic without making it crowded or difficult to look at.
  • This one is available on 1.19.3! I didn’t even know that version came out yet, it’s that recent.
  • For builders, this resource pack gives you different models, colors, and other decoration never before seen in Minecraft. Definitely worth a look!

4. Misa’s Realistic

Self-proclaimed “the first high-resolution texture pack ever made”, Misa’s Realistic aims to give the game as much realism as possible without making everything shiny and spotless like other high-resolution resource packs regularly do.

The mobs are grittier than before, and blocks have a certain shadow and darkness to them that makes them look even more realistic than other resource packs that may have more resolution or pixels.

There is a certain style to the whole thing as well, making things a combination between industrial and medieval while skewing towards an aesthetic of gritty RPGs. Definitely worth a try, especially for playing survival, as the immersion is definitely there.

3. Yuushya

This resource pack is similar to the one we discussed before this, but this one is definitely going towards more of a medieval approach. The textures and models, combined with the lighting makes the game a lot more immersive than vanilla, especially the interiors, oh the interiors. They look absolutely amazing.

The resource pack doesn’t try to make Minecraft into something else, the textures are still stylistic and game-y in a way that Minecraft is, but they also have that great lighting and immersion to them so much that when you are running around in a forest with this resource pack on, it’s almost like you can feel the wind.

  • Makes the game still have a “game” feeling with a stylistic resource pack that is medieval and realistic.
  • Available on 1.19.2, definitely a must-see to check out how they did the textures for the new stuff added to the game.
  • Definitely a recommend for people who want to build medieval and want to have that realistic touch to their textures, models, and so on.

2. Clarity

While we were talking about resource pack that change the game and drive it to a realistic direction without absolutely killing every original aesthetic that was there originally, we cannot skip over Clarity.

Clarity is a resource pack that aims for “pixel perfection” and gets closer to the goal by making every texture as high-fidelity as possible without killing the original style of the game.

The HUD is different, the tools are different, there is more of a medieval aesthetic to it all, but it’s not overbearing, and it is a resource pack that both people that love the realistic looking texture packs and the old heads about texture packs can enjoy together, in harmony.

How Clarity makes Things Better:

  • It aims for “pixel perfection” and simply makes everything look better.
  • I mean, this is also available in 1.19.2, and you can enjoy everything that update brings while also having Clarity.
  • It is best for builders who don’t want to deviate from Vanilla to much but want something new and fresh as well.

1) Luna HD

This is a version of Minecraft one would see in their dreams after playing the game for the whole day and falling asleep. There is nothing more shocking than seeing a bookshelf in your Minecraft base and being able to count how many pages it has.

The resource pack is as realistic as it possibly can be. While some resource packs aim for more high-fidelity, this resource pack fixes that by having amazing lighting and detailed 3D texture for blocks that did not have 3D properties before.

This is an amazing resource pack that makes every surrounding and build look realistic and modern without making it look bland or industrial. There is still a home-y feeling about the textures, and it is much appreciated.

How Luna HD makes Things Better:

  • It goes up to a 512x version (but you have to pay for it) and this version has textures and models that are just something else.
  • The resource pack is available all the way up to 1.19.2 and all that good stuff, yeah.
  • Makes the game look modern without making it industrial or too pristine.
