[Top 10] Elden Ring Best Intelligence Builds That Are Powerful
All intelligence players need a great build.


Elden Ring is Fromsoftwares newest game, it has a lot of different builds with a few being quite overpowered. Intelligence builds are those few overpowered ones, with magic being extremely strong and reliable.  This top 10 list will help you find that intelligence build that works for you. With more spells to choose from than any other souls game, Elden Ring has spoiled us for choice.

10. Meteorite Build

Meteorites and gravity, what else do you want?

 

With meteorites being able to deal massive damage, it is a great choice to use a build centered around it. 

What the Meteorite Build excels in::

  • With the right weapon, it can deal massive damage.
  • Variety of spells to use.
  • The staff that you will use deals extra meteorite damage.

Build details:

  • Use the meteorite staff in your left hand and a gravity weapon of your choice in the other, either the Fallingstar Beast Jaw or The Starscrouge Greatsword.
  • As spells, use the Collapsing Stars spell, Gravity Well, Rock Sling, Meteorite, and Meteorite of Astel as there are only 5 Gravity Spells, with only 2 meteorite spells.
  • Use the Magic Scorpion Charm for extra magic damage.
  • Use the Dragoncrest Greatshield talisman for extra damage negation.
  • Use the Moon of Nokstella for 2 more spell slots.
  • Use Radagon Icon to reduce spell cast time.
  • Armor is up to you but you can use armor that increases the amount of intelligence you have, but this isn’t necessary.
  • Use the Cerulean Hidden Tear in the Wondrous Physick to eliminate all FP consumption.

 

9. Fallingstar Beast Jaw Build

Great damage and a great weapon art.

 

The Fallingstar Beast Jaw is a beast of a weapon and has one amazing moveset. The weapon art is great and it pairs well with various talismans and armor. This build can break the poise of a lot of enemies and bosses as the weapon skill does a hefty amount of poise damage.

What the Fallingstar Beast Jaw build excels in:

  • Great for poise damage.
  • Can be paired with scepters and spells.
  • Can scale up to C scaling in strength and dex.

Build details:

  • Use the weapon in both hands after buffing with spells and incantations.
  • Pair it with a scepter and spells like the glintstone pebble, Carian Phalanx, and the Carian Greatsword.
  • Use the Queen’s Crescent Crown for the added 2 intelligence.
  • The Shard of Alexander talisman is great for this build as it increases the attack power of skill by 15%
  • Terra Magica can be used to increase magic damage as well.
  • Use the Cerulean Hidden Tear in the Wondrous Physick to eliminate all FP consumption.
  • The Dagger talisman will increase critical strikes by 16%
  • The Carian Filigreed Crest will reduce the consumption of FP used by skills.
  • The Erdtree Favour +2 will increase HP by 4%, increase stamina by 9.6% and equip load by 8%.

 

8. Moonveil Build.

 

With the Moonveil being one of the best Katanas in the game and it having an amazing weapon art. This build is amazing for all my intelligence players, as the weapon scales off of intelligence.

What the Moonveil Build excels in:

  • Easy critical attacks from behind.
  • Can deal great damage, especially with the Moonveil’s skill.
  • A great variety of spells to pair with this build 

Build details:

  • Use the Moonveil in your main hand and a Staff in the other, preferably the Meteorite Staff as it has low requirements and can get early on, and can be replaced with a better staff later. 
  • Use Ranni’s Dark Moon spell for some great damage.
  • Use Ambus Shard as a spell, this will make a Shard spawn behind an enemy and deal damage from behind.
  • Use Stars of Ruin for a lot of damage and it can be cast at quite a range.
  • Use the Carian Greatsword, Loretta’s Greatbow, and the Glintstone Pebble for some quick damage. 
  • Use Karolos Glintstone Crown as it increases your intelligence. The rest of the armor is up to you, but the Black Knife set looks great with this build.
  • Use the Magic Scorpion Charm to increase magic damage.
  • Use the Claw Talisman to enhance jump attacks.
  • And the Shard of Alexander increases damage from weapon skills.
  • Use the Magic- Shrouded Cracked Tear and the Cerulean Hidden Tear in the Wondrous Physick.
  • Use the Godfrey Icon that enhances charged spells and skills.

 

7. Azur Mage Build 

Azur has one “great” looking set.

Azur is one of the best Mages in all of the Lands Between, with that said his Comet Azur can also one-shot bosses if used right. The Build also comes with a good armor set and can be paired with a lot of different weapons and other spells.

What the Azur Mage Build excels in:

  • High damage.
  • Stealthy plays.
  • Great Intelligence scaling.

Build details:

  • For weapons, use any weapon that works with intelligence and the Lusat’s Glintstone Staff.
  • For spells, use the Comet Azur and Unseen Form, you can add other spells that you like as well.
  • For armor use the Ranni set or the Azur set.
  • For talismans use the Magic Scorpion Charm.
  • Primal Glintstone Blade.
  • Graven-School Talisman,
  • And the Cerulean Amber Medallion.
  • In the Wondrous Physick use the Cerulean Hidden Tear and the Magic-Shrouded Cracked Tear. 

 

6. Death’s Poker Build.

With a great skill and great damage. 

 

The Death’s Poker is one amazing weapon, and it has one amazing skill. With the weapon scaling off of dex, strength, and intelligence it will have some great damage. As far as the build goes this will be your primary source of damage, but it can be paired with other spells or incantations if you wish.

What the Death’s Poker Build excels in:

  • Ranged damage and close range damage.
  • The weapon skill can deal great damage.

Build details: 

  • Use the Death’s Poker as your main weapon, you can add a staff or seal with your preferred spells and incantations.
  • For armor use the Spellblade set, but armor is ultimately up to you.
  • For talismans use the Shard of Alexander.
  • The Magic Scorpion Charm.
  • Carian Filigreed Crest.
  • The Erdtree Favour + 2 as soon as you have it.
  • In the Wondrous Physick use what you prefer as it has minimal effect on the build.

 

5. Archery Build

Legolas?

For all the Elf lovers out there, here’s one great archer build, and with an added few spells, this build can be quite strong.

What the Archery Build excels in:

  • Ranged combat.
  • Great damage.
  • Can be paired with a lot of weapons and spells.

Build details:

  • Use the Lazuli Glintstone Sword as your main weapon, with the Horn Bow and the Misbegotten Shortbow.
  • For armor wear what you wish but the Exile Set fits well.
  • For talismans use, Arrow’s Reach Talisman and the Arrow’s Sting Talisman.
  • Use the Green Turtle Talisman.
  • Use the Dragoncrest Shield Talisman.
  • In the Wondrous Physick, use the Magic-Shrouded Cracked Tear.
  • Use the Ash of War, Rain of Arrows, and Mighty Shot on your bows.
  • Use any spells or incantations you wish to add.

 

4. Ranni Build

Ranni is the best girlfriend.

 

Ranni is one amazing NPC in Elden Ring and has one amazing questline, and her build can also be quite strong, with amazing spells you can obliterate enemies. 

What the Ranni build excels in:

  • Has great damage.
  • Has a great variety of spells to use.

Build details:

  • Use the Carian Glintstone Staff and a weapon that scales with intelligence.  
  • Use a staff in your off-hand to cast spells.
  • The Snow Witch set is a must for this build and it is one amazing outfit for all Mages.
  • Use the Radagon Icon talisman to reduce casting time.
  • Use the Magic Scorpion Charm for extra magic damage.
  • Use the Erdtrees Favour talisman as it is the best.
  • Use the Old Lord’s Talisman for the extra 30% spell duration.
  • Use the Magic- Shrouded Cracked Tear and the Cerulean Hidden Tear in the Wondrous Physick.
  • For spells, use Adula’s Moonblade, Glintstone Icerag, Freezing Mist, Zamor Ice Storm, Ranni, and Renalla’s Moons. 

 

3. Freeze Build

At least you can’t get frostbite in the Snowy Mountains.

 

Frostbite is amazing in Elden Ring and it can deal some great damage. There are a few spells that are great in this build and with a great weapon, it will be an amazing build.

What the build excels in:

  • Ranged damage.
  • Has a lingering spell.

Build details:

  • Use the Carian Glintstone Staff and the Frozen Needle weapon.
  • For armor use the Ranni set.
  • When it comes to spells use the Carian Slicer.
  • Carian Piercer.
  • Adula’s Moonblade.
  • Freezing Mist.
  • Glintstone Icecrag.
  • As for talismans, the Magic Scorpion Charm.
  • Graven-School Talisman.
  • Graven-Mass Talisman.
  • And the Ritual Sword Talisman should be in your arsenal.
  • In the Wondrous Physick use the Cerulean Hidden Tear and the Magic-Shrouded Cracked Tear.

 

2. Night And Flame Build

Still one of the best swords against Elden Beast.

 

The Sword of Night and Flame is personally my favorite sword in the game, as it is still an amazing weapon after being nerfed and has one of the best weapon skills. It pairs amazingly with any staff or seal. 

What the Night and Flame build excels in:

  • Dealing amazing damage from range with the weapon arts.
  • The fire side of this weapon is great for crowd control.
  • Pairs extremely well with different spells and weapons.
  • Can knock back enemies.

Build details:

  • Use the Sword of Night and Flame and the Carian Glintstone Staff. 
  • As it goes for spells the Azur Comet pairs well as it is a buffed version of your weapon art.
  • Use the Shard of Alexander as the first talisman.
  • Use Erdtree Favour +2 as it will increase HP by 4%, increase stamina by 9.6% and equip load by 8%.
  • Use the Magic Scorpion Charm to boost magic damage.
  • Use the Carian Filigree Talisman to reduce the FP cost of all skills.
  • You can alternatively use the Godfrey Icon that enhances charged spells and skills.
  • In the Flask of Wondrous Physick use the Magic- Shrouded Cracked Tear and the Cerulean Hidden Tear.

 

1. Moonlight Greatsword Build

Ranni’s sword has been in all the Dark Souls games.

 

The Darkmoon Greatsword is one strong sword, with amazing damage and a great weapon art. The weapon can have up to B scaling with intelligence, paired with some good talismans, this weapon will be able to deal massive damage to enemies. 

What the Darkmoon Greatsword build excels in:

  • The weapon has a great weapon art.
  • Can deal great damage.
  • Is a good build for PvP.
  • Paired with some sorceries or incantations, you can do damage from close- and far-range. 

Build details:

  • Use the Darkmoon Greatsword and the Lusat’s Staff.
  • Use the armor you prefer, although Blaidd’s armor pairs well with the weapon.
  • Use the Shard of Alexander for the 15% extra weapon skill damage.
  • Use Godfrey’s Icon as it enhances charged spells and skills.
  • Magic Scorpion Charm talisman to boost magic damage.
  • The Ritual Sword Talisman also pairs well with the weapon as it increases the attack power when at maximum health, alternatively you can use the
  • The Erdtree Favour +2 will increase HP by 4%, increase stamina by 9.6%, and equip load by 8%.
  • Terra Magica can be used to increase the damage of magic.
  • You can alternatively add a few other spells as well.
  • Use the Cerulean Hidden Tear in the Wondrous Physick to eliminate all FP consumption and the Magic-Shrouded Cracked Tear.
