Before the rise of the hero Monkey King that was released all the way back in 2016, many players believed that Phantom Lancer was a spin off of Monkey King due to their similar signature abilities and their use of the lance or Bo Staff. As such, this set was reminiscent of those times, having Phantom Lancer wield the Monkey King bar as the signature piece for this set.

This is largely attributed to the beautiful sun infused lance that sparkles and leaves a trail especially with the hero’s Phantom Rush ability. With a number of illusions at your command, the number of particle effects that this hero can conjure can make it seem like you have an army of light that charges at your enemies.

One of the coolest sets as of yet, this 2022 set has the largest amount of particle effects attached to the set for Phantom Lancer. Transforming him into an Egyptian Anuban warrior, this set makes you want to rewatch the Mummy again and study Egyptian lore.
