Do you want to be a protagonist? This class is made for you. For veteran players, Dragoncraft is recognized to be a protagonist class because this deck is always relevant in every expansion. Moreover, this class was used as the main class of the two main protagonists from Shadowverse anime.

This class has an overflow system which differs from the other classes. Unlike other classes that add one play point each turn, Dragoncraft uses cards to add its play point. It is possible to reach seven play points when your enemy is still on the third turn.

To balance that out, developers tend to make Dragoncraft cards to be costly. But with great cost comes great effect. They can overwhelm your opponent only with one card each turn.

Unfortunately, this expansion is not that great for this class. The newly released cards are so awkward that it makes it hard to play. The class which has a history to wreck others every expansion is so pathetic in this expansion. That’s why let’s reminisce about the past greatest Dragoncraft class has to offer.

5. Natura Dragon

Keep cutting trees baby...!

If you really like unique-limited traits to use in Shadowverse, you have to play this deck. Using a natura trait from Verdant Conflict expansion, you will be provided with passive direct damage to your opponent’s face every turn. You just need to cut the “tree” amulet as many as possible. That’s why we call it a Lumberjack deck.

What’s so great about this deck:

• A lot of Naterran Great Tree generators. It means more damage equals easy draw. You can draw if you destroy play that amulet over and over.
• Good control card in case you want to prolong the battle. It is also because this deck relies on passive damage.
• Great finisher. You just have to use Valdain, Cursed Shadow’s spell and you get regular passive damage to smack your opponent’s face.

How to play this deck:

• Ramp using Dragon Oracle and Whirlwind Pteranodon.
• Keep playing Naterran Great Tree using every generator possible.
• Prioritize evolving Valdain, Cursed Shadow to reduce his Shadow’s Corrosion’s cost.
• If you have leeway, use Shadow’s Corrosion and try to survive until the enemy dies from natural cause.

4. Eternal Whale Dragon

Everywhere I see are walls and walls.

Cheaper version of the Great Wall of China. This deck is so cheap and provides you with one cost of 5/7 whale. By turn 7, you can fill your field with all whales that are equipped with the ward. This means your opponent will find it hard to land damage on you. It is either to clear the board or use the effect to make a direct hit to your face.

Why this deck is so great:

• A budget version of this deck doesn’t require a legendary card. This means this deck is so cheap that you can build it on a whim.
• Easy to use. Just find Eternal Whale to use in the sixth turn. You can easily find it with all the draw cards provided.
• You don’t need to hit directly to the opponent’s life because Eternal Whale will hit them with 2 damages each time they come to the field.

How to play this deck:

• Ramp using Dragon Oracle and Cursed Furor.
• Prepare Eternal Whale for the sixth turn.
• Use XXI Zelgenia The World if your situation is sour. He helps you to keep surviving with 5 heal and draw two cards. This will help you to find Eternal Whale sooner.
• When Eternal Whale dies, he will get two similar cards into the deck and reduce his cost to one. Just keep spamming them until your opponent is overwhelmed.

3. Buff Dragon

Get ripped body by playing this deck!

It is clear that this Dragon deck obligates its follower to do workouts daily. The base status of each card can be enhanced greatly. No wonder certain cards have their effects activated when they have two stats up. This deck’s purpose is to enhance your follower as big as possible and end them with big overall status.

What’s so great about this deck:

• Good control cards. This deck has a healing from Windswept Dragonewt, draw from Dragon’s Awakening, banish from Ocean Spirit, and AOE from Drache, Fiery Dragonlord. They are in a perfect package.
• Great damage from Rowen, Dragon Lance using his spell as long as your overflow is active.
• Perfect finisher using Brutal Dragonewt and accelerated effect of Rock Whale.

How to use this deck:

• Ramp using Dragon Oracle.
• Use Prime Conflagration, Blazing Dragonewt, Tropical Mermaid or Drache, Fiery Dragonlord accelerate effect to add +0/1 to your dragon follower in the deck.
• Use Rowan, Dragon Lance when your overflow is active to avoid getting hit by his spell.
• Finish the game using the combination of Windswept Dragonewt, Brutal Dragonewt, and Rock Whale accelerate effects.

2. Dagon OTK

Slap three times!

Tired of thinking through complicated strategies? Then use this deck in the unlimited format. This deck is pretty straightforward. Just ignore all damage happening with your body and focus on drawing the prerequisite cards. When all cards are ready, boom, a total of 30 damages will hit your opponent’s face.

What’s so great about this deck:

• Low cost. You just need three legendary cards to make it work. It is less than 15k vials used because you will have one legendary by default.
• Easy to use. Just draw – keep - use pattern.
• Do or die deck. If you really like a gamble, this deck is meant for you.

How to play this deck:

• Ramp your way to at least five play points using Dragon Oracle.
• Use Goblin Mage to put Resplendent Phoenix.
• Put Resplendent Phoenix to the field and evolve her.
• Use Altered Fate in case your hand is trash.
• Use Encounter from the Deep to put Dagon, Lord of the Seas and give him storms.
• Due to a Phoenix Roost amulet created by Resplendent Phoenix, your Dagon, Lord of the Seas’ cost will be halved. You can enjoy hitting your opponent three times.

The effect has been restored to its origin. This deck is decent enough that you can play it in unlimited format.

What’s so great about this deck:

• Low cost. It is arguably the cheapest deck dragon could offer. You can build this budget version for unlimited format.
• Easy to use. Discarding cards require focus but it is not that hard to play.
• Great draw engine. In fact, this deck is all about drawing cards. That’s why it is easy to find core cards unless your luck is so bad.

How to use this deck:

• Ramp or add play point quickly using Dragon Oracle.
• Use Shipsbane Plesiosaurus and evolve it. This card is the core of this deck. It can land direct damage to the enemy’s face when you discard your card.
• Every card has the effect to discard another card or they activate the effect when discarded. So, stay focused.
