[Top 5] Shadowverse Best Deck For Beginners

[Top 5] Shadowverse Best Deck For Beginners
Easy guide for choosing your first deck!

Shadowverse is TCG where the meta always changes once in three months. You can’t expect your deck to be the strongest for an entire year. That’s why the beginner should wait for meta changing if they want a better chance to win the match.

Lucky for you, there are two formats in Shadowverse match. We suggest that you build your deck based on the rotation format. What’s the rotation format? The rotation format is a match where you only use cards from the latest 5 expansions.

Believe me, you should focus on this format as a beginner. It is comparatively easier than the unlimited format where you could use the entire cards with no restriction of expansions. You a need heart of steel to play in that hell-on-earth format.

With limited resources when you play the game, you could build at least two meta decks for your liking. Remember this, tier 3 doesn’t necessarily weak against tier 1 deck. So, what’s the best deck in this Roar of Godwyrm expansion? Check it out!

5. Flame and Glass Shadow

Very straightforward deck with draw, prepare, smack! pace. Enjoy your day with hot ice coffee.

You could say that shadow is a golden child of Cygames. If you like them, good for you. If you want to invest in this class, that’s a great choice. This craft has always stayed in the first tier for the last five expansions. You could say that your investment in crafting the cards in Shadow is worth it.

With the new expansion going on, there are two choices for using this class. But, we will go with Flame and Glass Shadow. This deck uses reanimates to summon high-cost follower with storm effect and use that to slap their opponent’s face.

You can use two finishers to finish the match. You could use either zero-cost Skeleton Raider or Falme and Glass, Duality. This deck also has a great draw engine so you can easily find your core card.

What’s so great about this deck:

  • Good Draw. With a generous amount of cards that have a draw effect, this deck won’t go awry with a bad draw. Just watch your hand out! Don’t make the cards destroyed because your hand is full.
  • Continuous Rush. Rulenye, Screaming Silence can clear the enemy board with ease. He has the effect of continuously summoning multiple of himself.
  • Great Finisher. Skeleton Raider and Flame and Glass, Duality is a combo where the enemy will surrender in resignation.

How to play this deck:

  • Mulligan for Rulenye, Screaming Silence. This will help in the midgame.
  • Use Cernunnos only when your Suzy, Hexcaster is already destroyed.
  • Gilnelise, Ravenous Craving will be your only source of healing. Use it wisely!
  • Burial rite Flame and Glass, Duality, and then reanimate her using Cernunnos with necromancy activated. This will ensure your victory.

Burn rune, or we usually called it Dirt rune, is a deck that focuses on direct damage. You need to be able to count your max damage if you want to use this deck. This deck consists of a draw, healing, and control elements on it.

There are two ways on how to use this deck. You can use the aggro method or OTK setup. This is a bit overwhelming for beginners to use this deck because of this difficulty. But I can assure you if you master this deck in the early stages, no deck you use will be hard in the future.

What’s so great about this deck:

  • Comparatively Cheap. This deck only costs 35k vials to create. With the cards that you will get in the gacha pull you use when you first enter the game, it will be much cheaper.
  • Good for Pro Gamer. This deck has many utilities. For you, pro-gamer, who wants challenge, this deck is a perfect match. It requires you to think, not only on the current turn but also for your next turn.

3. Rally Sword

Fill up your field for free!

Meta fluctuates with time. That much is true. But this class somehow always has been playable through every expansion. This class is so straightforward with its effect that it can be called a brainless class. But don’t let it fool you. There are times when you need to use your head to get max damage to punch your opponent’s face.

This class is so easy to use for beginners. But be aware, behind the easy gameplay lies great costs. Yes, this class is the most expensive class there is. But it is worth it if you want to invest in this class.

This expansion’s meta of Swordcraft offers you with a strong curve in the match. You will use those cards to pressure your opponent before giving a final blow.

What’s good about this deck:

  • Easy to use. This deck offers a simple effect within each card. So that the user can easily take action in every situation.
  • Great utility. Don’t be fooled by its simplicity. This deck offers healing, drawing, controlling, and finishing effects. Just the perfect mixture of the deck.
  • Good investment. If you’re looking for the previous record through every expansion, Swordcraft always stays competitively against other classes. Even though the cost of this class is comparatively expensive than other classes, it offers you stability.

How to play this deck:

  • Mulligan for at least one play-point follower. Bumpkin Recruit is the best card you can mulligan because it has a draw effect.
  • Play as many followers as you can to activate the rally effect of other cards. You can use accelerated effect of Frenzied Corpsman and Victorious Blader to add the rally count in the early game.
  • Even though Frenzied Corpsman can be used to summon two followers, refrain to use her if you don’t really have to. She can be used to destroy annoying followers in the late game using her rally effect.
  • Use Taketsumi, Aconite Paladin only after his rally effect is active. Otherwise, he is really useless.
  • Use either Erika, Loyalsavant, Kagemitsu, Lost Samurai, or Octrice, Hollow Usurpation spell to end the game.

2. Handless Blood

You better don't play this game if you don't like that cute smile!

Do you love the dark-gothic themes or vampires in general? Then, this class is for you. Bloodcraft is the best aggro class in Shadowverse. Almost every expansion, Blood releases new cards which are as fast as a road runner.

This class has many traits to be told. Vengeance, avarice, and wrath. The previous expansion introduces a new trait which is “discard”. The top-of-the-crop deck in Bloodcraft now is handless. It means as long as you finish your turn with no card in your hand, the stronger you will be in the next turn.

What’s great about this deck:

  • Low cost. This deck costs almost nothing. You only need measly 27k vials to build this deck. You can easily build a second deck apart from this deck because of that cost.
  • End fast or die. Speed defines this deck. If you want to end the match as fast as possible, you can use this deck.
  • Easy to use. With a predetermined combo, you can easily navigate the match.

How to play this deck:

  • Mulligan for any one play-point follower. It’s because you want to empty your hand as fast as possible.
  • Use Briared Vampire only if you’re confident that you can empty your hand that turn.
  • If you successfully invoke Paracelise, Demon of Greed, do pray that you get Full Moon Leap to get max damage.
  • Stay smacking face. Because of the nature of this deck, the longer you play will reduce your chance to win. So prioritize ending the match as soon as possible.

1. Evolution Forest

Wanna get annoyed? Play this card!

Do you love nature? This class is perfect for someone like you. This class mainly consists of nature things and ferocious insects. It has the nature of a combo and control deck.

This expansion provides Forestcraft with many control cards. This kind of deck objective is to stall the match as long as possible and finish it in one turn. This deck is the best counter of an aggro deck who aims to clear the match as fast as possible.

Because of that trait, this deck offers plenty of healing to sustain your life. It also has AOE damage to clear the enemy’s board. Not only that, many cards can literally evolve themselves every turn. This deck is one of the best evolve deck there is.

Why you should build this class and deck:

  • You love nature. Maybe this is the ridiculous reason but believe me, it matters.
  • You love playing combo. This class offers the best combo deck for every expansion.
  • Best control deck in this expansion. If you want to toy your opponent, this deck is great for that. Just make sure to watch yourself.

Tips for playing this deck:

  • Mulligan for Erosive Annihilation. This card is useful for controlling the enemy’s card in the early game.
  • Wisely use evolution points. Usually, it is not an issue since you can always use Piercye, Queen of Frost. But, it really matters in certain situation.
  • Use Blossoming Lunerian effect to an evolved follower. This will let her free evolve.
  • End the game with the big boy Ultimate Bahamut or invoke the effect of Glinelise, Ravenous Craving.
  • Because of the victory’s condition, use healing as efficiently as possible. You need to survive until the late game.
