[Guide] 25 Best Ready Or Not Tips And Strategies For Beginners

[Guide] 25 Best Ready Or Not Tips And Strategies For Beginners
Time to turn you into a pro.

Are you struggling with this game and having issues completing missions? Does a single mission take you hours to complete, and you constantly keep dying? Well, if that seems like an issue that you’re having, I can help you out with it.

In today’s article, I’ll be showing you the top 25 best tips and strategies that can help you win in the game. These tips and strategies will help you out in the long run and make you a better player at the game. So with that, let’s get into it!

25. Gun Modifications

So many options.

This one is pretty simple, but it’s quite helpful. You should modify your weapons correctly. A lot of new players and even old ones are skipping over customizing their weapons.

When it comes to what attachments you should be using, it all comes down to the type of mission you’re playing. But please make sure that you’re adding the correct attachments.

How It Works:

  • When you spawn in the lobby, head over to the locker room.
  • In the locker room, head over to the weapons tab.
  • In the weapons tab, modify your weapon with the right attachments.

24. Kill House or Firing Range

Time to test out my creations.

After you have modified your weapons to your personal preference, what better way to make sure that you like them than by bringing them to the firing range or going through the kill house area? That way, you’ll know if you like something on your weapon or you don’t.

Maybe you won’t like how the scope looks or how close it zooms in, so you’ll change it. Maybe you will remove the silencer from your weapon. It’s a generally great area for testing out your weapons, and you should use it.

How It Works:

  • Head down the stairs.
  • On the left is your firing range, and on the right is the kill house.
  • It’s great for testing out your weapons.

23. Know Your Mission Types

What the hell does all of this even mean?

As a new player, you should know about different mission types, what each type is, and how to approach it. Different mission types also mean bringing different equipment, different attachments, and different utilities. Currently, there are 5 different mission types.

The hardest mission type is hostage rescue, as you’ll need to use silencers and be quiet so that the shooters don’t notice you and spot you. As soon as you’re spotted, they will start shooting civilians left, right, and center, and it certainly won’t be a good look on your resume.

How It Works:

  • There are 5 different mission types.
  • You should know what each mission type is and how hard it is.
  • Different mission types require different equipment and utilities.

22. Movement Speed Increase With Low Ready

I move quicker now.

There isn’t an actual dedicated sprint button in the game, which is understandable, but there is something else called “Low Ready,” which increases your movement speed a bit. It’s similar to how it works in CS: GO when you pull out your knife.

This is great when you want to chase down a suspect, run into cover, or maybe run from one point of the map to another. All you have to do is go into the settings where the keybinds are and toggle this option on.

How It Works:

  • It allows the player to move faster when their weapon is lowered.
  • You have to enable the setting in the keybind section.
  • It’s great for chasing down suspects and moving faster.

21. Check Your Ammo By Holding R

Damn, I don’t have a lot of bullets.

If you just went through a rough firefight and you’re not sure how much ammo you have left in your magazine, then simply hold down the R key. By holding down the R key, your character will pull out the magazine, which will show you how much ammo you have left.

Keep in mind that each bullet in this game is precious and can down a suspect, so don’t waste it. This is also a much safer and faster option than reloading your whole weapon, as you never know if someone will be around the corner to charge you.

How It Works:

  • After a firefight, hold down the R key to check your ammo.
  • Your character will pull out the magazine, and it will show you how much ammo you have left in the magazine.
  • It’s faster than reloading if you’re not sure if you want to reload.

20. You Can Kick Down Doors

And down you go.

If you want to breach into a room but there’s a door in your way, you can try kicking the door down. Usually, it takes 2-4 kicks to kick a door down, and it’s much better for surprising the enemy than opening it.

It’s also a great alternative if you have run out of breaching charges or haven’t brought your trusty shotgun for breaching doors. But make sure that your teammate is there to throw in a flashbang as soon as the door drops down to stun the people in that room.

How It Works:

  • When you get near a door, you’ll see an option to kick it down.
  • You can kick a door down after 2-4 kicks.
  • It’s a great alternative if you have run out of breaching charges or didn’t bring your breaching shotgun.

19. Use Night Vision In Dark Areas or Dark Maps

Time to go boys.

Something that’s highly underrated in this game is night vision goggles. Not a lot of people are using them, and most players are sticking with the usual flashlight on their guns. Although the flashlight might be cool, it does give away your position to the suspects.

And the flashlight might trigger their AI to run away or start shooting in your general direction. While using night vision, the enemy won’t see you coming, and it will make it much easier for you to see in dark areas or on night maps.

How It Works:

  • If you’re in a dark area and you can’t see much, you should bring night vision goggles.
  • You can equip them in the locker room.
  • It makes it much easier to see suspects, and they won’t see you coming as they would with a flashlight.

18. Mark Rooms With Chemlights

Chemlight out!

Chemlights in this game have two distinct functions. One is to give illumination, and the second is to mark the room where it was cleared. Especially if you are playing with others and you are clearing out a building from two different starting points.

That chem light will let the other team know that the room is cleared and safe and that they can safely move on to the next one. It will also let you know that the room has been cleared out and there are no enemies around if you are trying to find a piece of evidence to complete the mission.

How It Works:

  • Chemlights have two functions in the game: giving light and marking a room that has been cleared.
  • Great for when you’re clearing out a huge building and you can mark that room as cleared and safe.

17. Don’t Stand In Front Of the Door

Aw come on man, how did he hear me?

One great piece of advice that I can give you is to not stand in front of a door. The AI in this game is damn smart and will outplay you most of the time unless you do everything perfectly. One thing that can lessen the chances of you dying is not standing in front of the door.

Plus, doors don’t provide a lot of cover, so almost every weapon can go right through them. Additionally, if the AI suspects that somebody is in front of the door, it will start shooting. So be careful.

How It Works:

  • You never want to stand in front of a door.
  • If the AI suspects that somebody is in front of the door, they will start shooting.
  • The AI can randomly open doors.
  • They don’t provide a lot of cover, as almost every gun in the game can go through them.

16. Move With Your Team

Okay, time to move boys.

One thing that you should always do in this game is move with your team. You should never move away from them and never try to do an objective alone because it will end badly for you.

By moving with your team, your chances of survival are increased, and there is less of a chance of being surprised by a flank. It’s important to cover the backs of your teammates, as nobody has eyes in the back of their heads.

How It Works:

  • You should always stick with your team to increase your chances of survival.
  • The chances of being flanked and surprised by the enemy are smaller.

15. Avoid Traps

Now, who put this here?

You should also look out for booby traps that spawn randomly on a map. Once, when I was playing, I killed my whole team because I rushed through a door, and that little explosive device killed everyone.

Before kicking in a door or fully opening it, make sure that there is no funny stuff going on. You have the option to open a door just a tiny amount, and with that tiny amount, you can spot a wire. If there is one, just cut it, and you’ll be safe to open it, or just use another door.

How It Works:

  • You can open a door for just a tiny amount.
  • At the bottom of the door, you can see a wire.
  • If there is a wire, just cut it to disable the boobie trap.

14. Make Use Of Helmet Cams

Now I can see the war crimes my teammates commit.

Now, with a simple button press, “T” by default, it will bring up a helmet cam and show you what your teammates are doing. It’s great when you want to synchronize a breach. It’s also good to give information on what the situation is currently.

How It Works:

  • By pressing T, you can bring up a helmet cam from your teammates.
  • It’s great for synchronized room breaches.
  • It gives information on what your teammates are doing.

13. Situational Awareness

I am running on 5 red bulls.

Always be aware of the situation you are in. Be ready for anything, and always be ready to fight someone. You never know when someone will run around the corner to kill you. Also, be careful when a suspect is surrendering, as they might be faking it.

As soon as they move their arms to their weapon, you shoot them, no questions asked. Also, be wary of any civilians, as you never know if an enemy is acting as one. Maintain your situational awareness at all times if you want to succeed.

How It Works:

  • It’s a simple strategy of constantly being aware of the situation you are in.
  • Be ready for any danger that might be lurking around the corner.
  • Be wary of all civilians, as an enemy might be acting as one.

12. C2 Charges

And you are blown away.

Here’s a great way of breaching into a room, and that’s by using a C2 charge. It’s easy; nobody is in danger, and the suspects will be surprised. Just make sure that before you use it, there is someone in the room and that it’s not empty.

It’s also a great tool to overwhelm the suspects, as you can place multiple C2 charges at multiple entry points and detonate them at the same time. You just have to coordinate the attack correctly with your teammates.

How It Works:

  • Place a C2 charge at a door.
  • Detonate it to breach through a door.
  • You can place multiple C2 charges at multiple doors and detonate them at the same time to confuse the suspects.

11. Use CS Gas

Make them cry their eyes out.

If you want to smoke out a whole room of enemies quickly and make sure that everyone surrenders, then you should use CS gas. Yes, you could also use a flashbang, but it takes a longer time for the suspects to recover from the gas than they would from a flashbang. The only downside to CS gas is that you need to use a gas mask.

How It Works:

  • You throw the CS gas into a room full of suspects.
  • They will start coughing and crying because of the gas.
  • While they are stunned, you can go ahead and detain them.

10. Freelean

Now you see me, now you don’t.

This is an advanced form of leaning, and you do it by holding down the ALT key along with the directional movement keys “WASD.” It’s much faster than normal leaning, and it allows for more rapid and free movements.

How It Works:

  • When you want to peek around a corner, make sure to hold ALT plus any of the directional movement keys.
  • It’s faster and quicker than regular leaning.
  • It allows for more free-range movements.

9. Use a Mirror Gun

Time to see what’s on the other side.

The best way to see what’s on the other side of a door is to use the mirror gun and shove it under the door. By doing that, you’ll see what’s going on and how many suspects you’re dealing with.

The only downside to this is that it’s a utility tool, and you can only bring one of those. If you’re playing solo, I highly recommend that you bring one, but if you’re playing with friends, you can communicate who brings what with them.

How It Works:

  • You have to equip it first in the locker room.
  • After that, you get close to a door, and you can look at what’s in the other room without opening the door.
  • You can also use it to look around corners.

8. Make Sure The Enemies Are Dead

How did you survive that?

The most annoying thing in this game is when an enemy fakes being dead. You’ll shoot him in the chest, and they will drop to the ground, playing dead. After you pass their body, they will get up, grab their pistol, and start shooting at you.

So when you drop someone, make sure that they are dead. That’s why there is an option to handcuff a body because you never know if someone is faking it. Or you can do it the easy way and double-tap them.

How It Works:

  • Sometimes suspects will play dead, and after passing their body, they will get up and start shooting at you.
  • You should always make sure that they are dead by handcuffing the body or double-tapping it.

7. Know The Map Layout

I know this map like the back of my hand.

Before going on a mission, you should know the map layout that you’re playing on. It will help you out while searching the rooms. You’ll know how many hallways there are and if there are any spots where the enemies can flank. It will also give you a general idea of the map and which weapon you should bring with you.

How It Works:

  • By knowing the map layout, you can block off huge hallways while you clear out other rooms.
  • It reduces the chances of you being flanked by the enemy.

6. Take It Slow

Slow and steady wins the race.

The best strategy that I can give you is to take the game slowly. Take your time with it. This is not a game that you can just rush through because sooner or later you will die. Hell, the AI will start shooting through walls if they hear you coming.

By taking it slow and being tactical, you will survive and get the highest score possible. Be aware of your surroundings and be ready for anything. The only time when you should move quickly is when you’ve cleared out that certain path and you’re sure that nobody is there.

How It Works:

  • By taking the game slowly, you’ll increase your chances of survival exponentially.
  • The game can’t be rushed through as it’s a realistic SWAT sim.

5. Use a Solid Cover

Can’t shoot through this can you now?

When you do get into a firefight, don’t stand behind something that can easily be shot through, like wood or a tiny piece of concrete. You should move to get behind something solid, like a wall. Stay behind cover until they either run out of ammo or don’t rush you.

How It Works:

  • Once you get into a firefight, go behind a solid cover that can’t be shot through.
  • The suspects will either back down, run out of ammo, which gives you the chance to shoot back, or rush you, which won’t end well for them.

4. Make Sure They Are A Civilian

Do not move a muscle.

Sometimes it can be hard to tell if the suspect is an enemy or a civilian, so it’s up to you to make that call. The civilians in this game will make sudden and erratic movements, but those movements can lead to them grabbing a weapon or trying to get to safety.

It is up to you and your team to decide if they are a threat or not. The best tip I can give you here is to detain everyone and see everyone as a possible threat. If you don't do well, it can end badly for you.

How It Works:

  • While clearing out rooms and buildings, sooner or later you’ll run into civilians.
  • You can’t shoot them, as that’s a penalty and a war crime, so you’ll have to decide if they are a threat or not.
  • The civilians in the game will make sudden and erratic movements, which can lead to sticky situations.
  • The enemies will sometimes fake being civilians and pull a weapon on you.

3. Door Wedges

Now you can’t open this door.

One great way to stop enemies from pushing toward you is by using a door wedge to lock the door in place. By using this, the door won’t be able to open until the door wedge is removed. That way, you reduce the chances of a threatening scenario playing out and risking your life.

It’s easy to place a door wedge down. You just grab it, look at the bottom of a door, and place it. You can also use it to block off exit areas so that the enemies can’t run away from you and regroup.

How It Works:

  • You equip the door wedge in the locker room.
  • When near a door, get the door wedge out and place it under the door.
  • You reduce the chances of a serious and threatening situation playing out.
  • Reduces the chances of being flanked by the enemy if you block off the correct doors.

2. Proper Equipment

This will surely help me out.

When you load into the lobby, you should select a mission first. After selecting a mission, you can go ahead and customize your loadout for that mission. Each mission type requires proper equipment.

Bringing the right equipment makes it easier for you. If you’re playing on a hostage rescue mission, you should bring a silencer, as that will make it much easier to play. Or if you’re playing on a night map, you should bring night vision goggles.

How It Works:

  • After you select a mission, head over to the locker room.
  • Based on the mission type you selected and the map, you should bring the proper equipment.
  • With the proper equipment, you will have a much easier time going through the mission.

1. Communicate

I got you covered homie.

Honestly, the best strategy in this game to be successful and win is to communicate with your teammates. By communicating everything, you will have a much easier time playing.

If you spot someone running or see something fishy, you should tell your teammates about it. Also, when using the mirror gun, you should communicate everything to your team about what you see exactly.

How It Works:

  • Everything you see and do should be communicated with your team.
  • Good communication will increase your chances of winning.
  • You shouldn’t stray far away from your teammates no matter what, and if you do, you should tell them about it and wait for them.
