One great thing about this game is that it has mod support. Even though it’s still in its early access the game has a good modding community. 

It already has some great mods; most of them are maps or reskins of guns, but some are full-on overhauls of the game. So today I’ll be going over these mods and ranking the best 15 mods for Ready or Not. So let’s not waste any more time and get into this article!

15. Supermarket Map

I go to buy groceries here.

Here we have an interesting map mod, which is a huge supermarket. The supermarket was overrun by robbers, and they barricaded themselves in the supermarket with hostages. Your job is to go in there and rescue the hostages. You can enter the building from three different entrances, and your job is to rescue every single civilian.

14. Into The Deep

I swear I saw something move over there.

Here’s another map mod that’s a bit on the horror side. While playing on this map, you’ll be on the edge of your seat as enemies could pop up from anywhere. This map is best played alone without any ally bots. 

You will explore and fight in this underground complex, and your main job is to bring justice to anyone who dares to oppose you. It doesn't matter if they are dead or alive, just get the job done.

13. Kalashnikov AK-15

This gun is a masterpiece.

Since there isn’t an official Kalashnikov in the game, we’ll just have to add one, won’t we? This is the AK-15, and it will replace your SLR47. The model is highly detailed, and the mod is constantly updated to support newer versions of the game. 

There are some known issues with the gun, and those are the under barrel and side attachments, which either float next to the gun or clip through it. But the creator has said that they will fix that in a future update.

12. Better Laser

Now, this is what I call a laser.

This is a really simple mod that improves the laser in the game. The laser in Ready or Not isn’t that visible, and it can be hard to spot when you use it. It gives the laser a solid red line that just flickers occasionally.

A great thing about this mod is that it also affects all lasers in the game, and yes, that includes the laser from the Taser.

Who let the predator loose?

If the normal night vision goggles just aren’t cutting it for you and you still can’t spot the enemies in dark places, then just use the thermal vision mod. With this, you’ll be sure to spot anyone who emits heat.

There are three variations of the mod, so you can pick which one you like best. Overall, this is a simple mod, and it makes you feel like either the Predator or Sam Fisher from Splinter Cell.

10. Player Respawn

AHA, I LIVE!

Here’s a mod that can be fun with friends, if you just want to learn the map layout, or if you want to run around the map killing everyone who exists near you. What this mod does is it allows you to respawn once you die.

Instead of having only one life, you can have multiple ones until you either beat the map or quit the map. You can even use this mod to play some PvP against your friends, as you will have an infinite amount of lives.

The amount of lights is gonna make me blind.

Let me show you another great map mod, but this time you’ll be fighting inside a nightclub. There’s already a nightclub map in the official game, but what’s the harm in adding another one? This map mod has some amazing lighting and is highly detailed, which is a huge plus.

Now I will never run out of ammo.

Here’s a quick but sweet mod. It adds more ammo slots to the game. I am constantly using this mod because I keep running out of ammo in this game quickly. I have no idea how or why, but I just do. Maybe I should stop shooting so much, but thankfully there is this mod to fix my issue. The mod is more a quality of life change than anything else.

7. Fairfax Remake

Oh, the sweet sweet memories.

If you’re an old-school gamer who played SWAT 4 back in the day, you will remember this map. This map has cemented itself as one of the best in SWAT 4, mainly due to how disturbing it was. Your main goal is to capture a serial killer who is believed to reside in this residence.

6. Immersive VO

Finally, some new voice lines.

If you have gotten tired of hearing the same voice lines over and over again while playing, then you need this mod. This mod will add voice lines from SWAT 3 to Ready or Not. The voice lines are integrated perfectly to make the game as immersive as possible. 

This isn’t a replacement, it's an add-on to the game, so you’ll also be hearing some of the standard voice lines from Ready or Not. The main focus of the mod is to make your characters seem calm, stealthy, and as professional as possible.

5. RECORDED OR NOT

This is an interesting perspective.

There is a new rise in FPS games, and those are bodycam-type FPS. It was mainly popularized by the game Unrecorded, which is due to release sometime this or next year. If you can’t wait for that game to release, you can use this mod in Ready or Not. 

This mod will place the camera and make it feel like it’s on the body, helmet, or go-pro. The mod is highly customizable to your preference, and you can adjust the camera however you want. It gives a whole new perspective to the game.

4. Gunfighter Gameplay Improvement 2

Damn, this makes the game feel brand new.

If you thought that the gunfighting in this game was too easy for you, well, you can make it harder for yourself with this mod. This mod aims to make gunfighting in the game more realistic and harder for the player. 

All of the grips were changed, weapons were balanced, some NVG improvements were added, and so much more. There is a lot of content to unpack in this mod, and you really should try it out. It works perfectly well with the RECORDED OR NOT mod.

3. Ready or Not Here I Come AI Realistic Mod Pack

Damn, now they are even harder to deal with.

If you think that the game isn’t hard enough even with the Gunfighter Overhaul gameplay mod, then you need this one. This mod will change how the AI works and behaves. It will make them harder to beat than they already are.

It will be like playing Sekiro or Elden Ring, but your hands are tied behind your back and you’re getting punched in the stomach. The AI will behave more erratically and unpredictably; you will be in extreme firefights, and you will have to utilize extreme precision if you want to win.

2. JHP Ammunition-Dismemberment

Haha, I got your nose.

One thing that I wish Ready or Not had in the official game is a better gore system. Sure, there are sound effects and blood, but where is the dismemberment? Every tactical military game needs to have a  good gore system. 

Especially, if you’re using a weapon that uses a high-caliber bullet, dismemberment is a must. So to fix that, we have this mod. With this mod, you can tear limbs apart from suspects by using JHP ammo or 12-gauge shells. It’s quite beautiful in a weird way.

1. Zombie or Not

Welcome to the umbrella corporation.

Since we don’t have a Resident Evil tactical shooter game yet, let’s make one for ourselves. This mod overhauls the whole game into a zombie game where you have to clear out areas of infected. 

The mod is simple: it adds a knife to every enemy in the game, and they charge at the player. It’s perfect when you combine it with the dismemberment mod that I mentioned above. The amount of zombies that spawn on each map is 80, so bring as much ammo as you can carry.
