Best boots in Kenshi, because why the hell not. You need those when wandering in acidic wastelands such as the Vain or the Deadlands - without boots, your feet will most definitely melt off, you will become cropped and slowly melt to death!

And that’s exactly what I’ll be talking to you today - the BEST footwear in the whole history of Kenshi(only vanilla footwear, not any modded high heels, etc).

All of these boots can be found in most boot shops or armor shops. You can also try your luck finding them on bandits in Border Zone. Anyways, let’s get started:

5. Wooden Sandals

Good mobility. No armor though!

These are the cheapest and the most common footwear in the United Cities. They’re not recommended for protection, but for mobility and faster attack speed. They might come in handy even in late-game scenarios, but only if you have armor that covers 90/100% of your legs!

What makes the item great:

- 1.10x buff to athletics

- 1.05x buff to combat speed effect

- stylish ‘n’ fancy!

4. Drifter’s boots

Boots for drifting.

These boots are made for the sole reason of protecting your feet. At the highest grade(masterwork), these boots are gonna give you 26% blunt resistance, 41% cut resistance, and a meaningless stealth penalty. They’re great if you don’t wanna have your feet melting off in acid rain!

What makes the item great:

- Cheap and effective

- Buyable in most armor/clothing shops

- Little to no penalties

3. Plated Longboots

Thicc boi on the right. I think.

These boots are medium weight and they have tolerable to deal with penalties. These are the perfect boots if you want to look cool and not run like a pregnant tortoise. You can usually find these on high-ranking bandits and such, but also in shops!

What makes the item great:

- Medium weight(doesn’t weigh a lot)

- Petty penalties(0.69x stealth effect, 0.98 athletics effect)

- They look badass!

2. Crab Shoes

Crab.

They might look heavy, but in reality, they only weigh 2 kilograms - according to the information I’ve found on some website, but in the picture, they look a lot heavier…

These boots are perfect if you have hatred for crabs and you wanna look like an ultimate badass. You can find those either at Crab’s Smithy in Crabtown or kill one of the Crab Raiders!

What makes this item great:

- Unique and cool look

- Heavy class, but weigh only 2 kilograms

- High resistance to cutting/blunt damage

1. Samurai Boots

Thanks for arresting me because I was too poor!

These are probably the best boots in the whole game, I believe they grant the player with the most cutting/blunt resistance and cover 40% of your legs. They’re perfect for mass production if you have an outpost with your own army. 

… but do they have skill penalties? Sure, they do, but if you’re not the sneaking type, then you have nothing to worry about - these boots are generally made for straight-forward combat action!

What makes this item great:

- Masterwork grade gives 61% cutting resistance and 81% blunt resistance

- Prolly the coolest looking boots in the whole game

- Purchasable in most UC cities
