[Top 10] Kenshi Best Weapons And How To Get Them

Swish-swosh!

Best weapons in Kenshi - that’s what I’m gonna talk about today. I’m gonna include weapons that will mostly do cutting damage, but sometimes blunt damage, and at times weapons that will deal a bit of both. Let’s get started then!

10. Meitou Heavy Jitte

Great for breaking bones, but not killing!

Heavy Jitte is the least used weapon in Kenshi. It has 0 cutting damage, which makes this one of the most painful, but not deadly weapons in the game. It’s usually used for incapacitating your foes and forcing them to join your army or just putting them inside of a skin peeler!

How to get the weapon:

You can get this weapon by beating the crap out of General Hat-12 that’s always residing in Ashland Dome IV, Ashlands. Be careful though, that area is crawling with weird robotic creatures and they’ll be more than willing to destroy you!

9. Meitou Foreign Sabre

Great for slaying foreign forces invading your outpost!

This is a sword oddly similar to Falling Sun. It’s also good for boosting your defense, for a small fee of -4 attack - IMO, it’s worth it. I’ve equipped my army with these swords and we managed to kill Tengu and most of his nobles in The Great Desert!

How to get the weapon:

You can find the Meitou Foreign Sabre on…. the Bugman. Who’s the Bugman? He’s not a very friendly human hiding in the south-western part of the map - in the Throne of the Bugmaster, to be precise. You won’t kill him easily, like, AT ALL, so get some gear and stats before paying him a visit!

8. Meitou Naginata

A longer katana.

It’s a polearm, which means that this weapon has an outstanding reach. Great for hunting and killing animals, but also decent for exterminating humans, once again, thanks to its superb reach!

How to get the weapon:

Crab Queen is the owner of the Meitou version of Naginata. She’s residing in Crab Town, surrounded by her goons. Be careful, she’s not easy to kill and she will take some of your limbs if you cross her!

7. Meitou Moon Cleaver

Fancy name, terrifying history...

This weapon looks dope, and does a mixed amount of cutting/blunt damage. It’s powerful, under the condition that you have the right stats to be worthy to wield this beauty. Take it from some deranged cannibal and chop off Tengu’s arms off!

How to get the weapon:

The Preacher - he’s the leader of a cult that can be found in the Cult Village. People there are not exactly hard to kill, but make sure to not be knocked out by them - they’re cannibals!

6. Exile Plank

It’s actually not a PLANK, but a heavy-handed sword. Devs called it like that cuz they silly!

The Plank is perfect for beating the crap out of your opponents, you’ll be dealing a nice amount of blunt damage and a fair amount of cutting damage. It has a great reach and petty penalties while wearing. It’s a nice weapon, especially for beginners, but gets out shadowed by more flexible weapons.

How to get this weapon:

Gorillo, in the Old Prison. That place is living hell, good luck getting this beauty out of there in one piece!

5. Meitou Topper

Is that a Topper or a Nodachi? I don’t know, but let’s assume it is for the sake of this article!

Topper is basically a Katana, but the tip of it is a little blunt, which adds a small bonus to the blunt damage stat. It’s also great for penetrating armor, so if you’re sick of your Katanas bouncing off of somebody’s armor, the Topper is a great replacement!

How to get this weapon:

Kill the Rhinobot in Ashland Dome II. He’s a pain in the ass to kill, and getting there is an even bigger pain in the ass, but I promise you, it’s worth it!

4. Meitou Paladin's Cross

Some holy weapon, wield it as a Skeleton for extra irony.

This weapon is decent for destroying Skeletons and other robotic creatures. It’s an excellent weapon if you wanna go to the Sonorous Dark, Ashlands, and other miserable hellholes that contain technological monstrosities. There’s use for it for other races as well, thanks to its 30% armor penetration!

How to get it:

From Lord Phoenix himself. He’s a prick, annoying one at that, but if you manage to either kidnap or kill him, then getting through HUNDREDS of his goons, then you’ll earn the privilege of carrying the Pally Cross. Good luck!

3. Meitou Katana

Katana.

You’ll find this sword EVERYWHERE. All types of it, most of them are most known for their cutting damage and the double attack animation. They’re also pretty flexible and allow a large sum of attacks. Their only downside is their poor armor penetration, but besides that, they’re decent.

How to get this weapon:

From Emperor Tengu, of course. What? You thought this one would be easy? Hell naw! Also, Emperor Tengu is surrounded by Samurais, so don’t think about taking it from him so easily!

2. Meitou Fragment Axe

Too heavy… can’t… impress…. the Shek ladies…

This is the heaviest weapon in the game. It hits like a truck - literally, you can 1-shot multiple enemies at ONCE. The only downside to this bloody thing is that after taking a few hits you’ll be swinging this bad boy slower and slower, eventually making it useless. That’s why the Fragment Axe is most useful when fighting with your comrades!

How to get the weapon:

Unfortunately, you have to betray the Shek Kingdom - and it’s a shame, but that’s the price of having the second most broken weapon in the game. Get it from Esata(Admag) or Mukai(Squin) - by killing them or stealing it from them, of course!

1. Falling Sun

Doesn’t really look like a sun, a falling one at that.

It’s OP. Prolly is one of the strongest weapons out there, requires little strength for a heavy weapon, and looks extremely badass. Hard to get, but fun to use and very satisfying to clear waves of cannibals, starving bandits, and even Great Desert Samurais!

How to get the weapon:

From the Mad Cat-Lon in the Ashlands. Don’t think about getting this weapon without:

- an army

-or a sneak/assassination level 100.

Mad Cat-Lon is one of the strongest enemies in the game, if you kill him, I’ll be proud!
