You’re not gonna level up dexterity by swinging your Heavy Jitte - you need weapons that deal decent cutting damage, like Nodachi’s, Wakizashi's, and other things that dismember people efficiently. And that’s what we’ll talk about, boys and gals - the best weapons for training dexterity. Let’s start:

5. Guardless Katana

Who cares about defense?

These sharp blades are excellent for dexterity training - all katanas have a double-attack animation, which means that you’re gonna level up dexterity sooner. They are extremely light and allow you to swing them with no delays, even if you're heavily injured. 

Why this weapon is great for dex training:

•  Double-attack animation
•  High cutting damage
•  Can hit multiple people at once(which gives you more dex percentage)

4. Naginata

A polearm.

These things work a lot like katanas, they are light and have excellent reach, which allows you to attack multiple targets at once. They deal slightly less cutting damage than a standard katana but they make it up with useful buffs, such as dealing more damage against animals. Awesome!

Why this weapon is great for dex training:

•  Farther reach
•  Fast attacks
•  Light

3. Naginata Katana

Oh, snap!

These things are slightly better versions of Naginata’s. They deal bonus damage against humans and animals, so going to areas like Vain to hunt Beak Things is an excellent choice. It’s also extremely effective against cannibals in the north, they are naked and weak, thus you can expect plenty of limbs lying around!

Why this weapon is great for dex training:

•  Awesome reach(26 units)
•  Higher cutting damage than Naginata
•  25% bonus damage to animals/humans

2. Nodachi

The longest katana in the world of Kenshi!

Where can you find a Meitou version of this beautiful blade? On the back of Savant, who resides in Sonorous Dark - good luck getting it though, if you’re a human, you will quickly meet your demise. These katanas deal the highest amount of cutting damage in the katana family - the Meitou version deals 2.64x cutting damage. They are long, so they can hit fewer targets - incredibly useful!

Why this weapon is great for dex training:

•  2.64x cutting damage multiplier = a hellton of dexterity
•  +10% bonus damage to humans
•  Requires only 8 points of strength to use effectively

1. Falling Sun

The king of all heavy weapons.

This thing deals as much cutting damage as the Nodachi but also a great amount of blunt damage - it does require some strength to use effectively but it’s the lightest heavy weapon available. This thing is great for dexterity training against Leviathans due to its useful buff against these wonderful animals. It’s also worth adding that this weapon has no meaningful debuffs - what an awesome blade!

•  Dope reach(25 units)
•  2.64x cutting damage
•  50% bonus damage against Leviathans
