You can play Kenshi however you want, but eventually, you’ll want more. You will want to create an outpost, start your own farm, cook your own food, mass-produce weaponry+armor and create the army that you’ve always dreamed of - and that’s why you need followers!

In this article, I’ll mention 10 awesome followers that you can find scattered across the world of Kenshi. Let’s start with:

10. Miu

Meow?

If you have just started your outpost and you need an excellent farmer, then Miu is definitely for you - she’s gonna make sure that you and your other recruits don’t starve to death. You won’t regret her having as a farmer but do not put her on the frontlines!

Why this recruit is awesome:

- 30 laboring

- 60 farming

- Hates Holy Nation/UC!

9. Soman

Somad?

Soman is a great engineer and he’s basically gonna construct stuff for you. Recruit him and he’ll build gates, walls, buildings, automated drills, and many other constructions. Engineers are essential, you need to build your base before you get raided!

- 50 engineering

- Costs only 3500 cats

8. Cat

A weird medic.

Cat is a prisoner of the Dust King, in his tower. He’s a bit weird and he obviously spent way too much time in that cage of his, perhaps he was even tortured. He’s gonna talk to you about flies and… yeah. He’s a good medic!

Why this recruit is awesome:

- 40 field medic

- Unique…personality

- 20 science

7. Bo

Somewhere in Stobe’s Gamble. I think!

Bo is a female and she has fair stats. She’s also an excellent sneak and thief, which makes her perfect for stealing valuable stuff from libraries, ancient labs, and workshops. She’s gonna need a bit of training if you want her to take on stronger opponents, but she’s still good!

Why this recruit is great:

- 20 in katana skills

- 70 athletics

- high thievery skills in general

6. Chad

His stats don’t speak chad.

Chad is a unique follower that you can find in a bar in Flats Lagoon. He’s a slightly stronger version of Bo in terms of strength and personality. According to Chad, he punched a Beak Thing in the nose and bailed out before the angry giraffe-bird thingy could kill him!

Why this recruit is great:

- Chad.

- 20 strength

- Can be a decent turret guy

5. Green

Sharpshooter!

Green is the guy who specializes in turrets and crossbows. This guy is a must if you’re in a supply of turret-guys that will guard your gate and outpost. He’s also full of personality and has unique dialogues with the previously mentioned Miu.

Why this recruit is awesome:

- Unique dialogues

- Cheap

- Looks like Beep

4. Pia

She hates Paladins.

Pia completely despises everything that has to do with Holy Nation, although she’s a bit silly, she’s gonna alert you when there’s a nearby HN patrol. Her items are kinda wack, but she has semi-decent stats. You can find her in Flotsam Village.

Why this recruit is awesome:

- Better primary stats than Bo and Chad

- Runs faster than Keemstar

3. Agnu

Stronk robot boi.

Agnu is friends with Beep and he’s a very strong Skeleton. He’s perfect if you want one of your followers to use heavy weapons and that’s pretty much about it. He’s a damaged skeleton who can’t speak properly and can only be friends with Beep. Quite tragic!

Why this recruit is great:

- 40 strength

- Weird, but unique!

- Friends with Beep.

2. Yamdu

So formal!

Yamdu is the right hand of Longen, the leader of The Traders Guild. If you defeat Tinfist, then you’ll be able to recruit Yamdu. Although he looks kinda frail, he has plenty of dexterity, and if equipping him with decent armor, he can be a surprisingly powerful guy to have!

Why this recruit is awesome:

- 40 dexterity

- If you have stronger recruits, he can be a great engineer/farmer

- Smart boi!

1. Beep

Yes. You mad?

Who cares about the stats when you have Beep. Everyone loves Beep, so I’ve placed this guy on the first spot, otherwise, I’d get dragged out of my house and lynched. It’s unclear why Beep is loved so much in the Kenshi community but I came to a conclusion that Beep is like an old dog - you feel too bad for him to not take him with you. He’s dumb and that’s why he was exiled from his hive. He has a few unique dialogues and is a sweetheart in general - he’s a must-have!

Why Beep is incredible:

- Most loved character in Kenshi

- Despite being dumb, he has a cool personality which consists of him being brave and honorable.

- Beep!
