Martial Arts - combat that involves kicking and punching your opponents and not using melee weapons. martial arts are perfect for training dexterity and the dodge skill. As you progress, you will unlock more attack animations and eventually become the second Tinfist!

So, after we’ve explained how martial arts work in Kenshi, now we’re gonna mention a few armor pieces that are excellent for hand-to-hand combat. Let’s start with;

5. Gi Pants

Go home, GI!

These pants give you no armor, what they’re good for though is not limiting your ability to move very fast. They don’t have any debuffs and are perfect for martial arts enthusiasts because they give a slight boost to unarmed combat!

- +2 bonus to martial arts

- Light and doesn’t hinder your speed

- White and stylish!

4. Martial Artist Bindings

More like bandages!

This is a shirt that provides protection to your hands while punching things, gives you a slight buff to martial arts, and even boosts up your overall damage output. They don’t weigh anything and can be found on the Grass Pirates in the southeast parts of the map. They also look unique and they wrap your abdomen plus feet!

Why this armor is awesome:

- 1.05x damage multiplier

- 70% fist protection(useful for anyone that’s not a Skeleton)

- +4 bonus to martial arts

3. Sleeveless Dustcoat

Gotta show dem abs.

This dustcoat is awesome if you fight in places like The Black Desert, Sonorous Dark, Vain, and in summary, places that are constantly bombarded with acid rain. It also provides you with some protection against burning, if you’re in places like Venge!

Dustcoats are for those who need at least a tiny bit of protection from attacks - you can rely on dodging for so long till you get hit in the back with a Plank!

Why this armor is awesome:

- Provides decent protection of your stomach, abdomen, and both legs

- +6 martial arts bonus

- Improves your stealth and other combat abilities

2. Ninja Rags

Spooky costume for spooky characters!

Lovely rags that cover your chest and stomach entirely and also provide some coverage for your head and both arms. It provides a tiny bit more armor than a standard dustcoat and gives far more positive buffs that will enhance your martial arts character. Not only that, it makes your character look all dark and sinister!

Why this item is great:

- Provides excellent coverage to your upper body

- 26% blunt and 41% cutting resistance

- +4 to martial arts

1. Assassin's Rags

Shows a lot of skin!

These rags provide the same amount of armor as Ninja Rags but they provide slightly less coverage. It’s perfect armor designed for those who wish to beat the crap out of anyone who crosses them. You can buy this in most armor shops but higher grades of this type of armor can be purchased at the Shinobi Thieves Traders. This is probably my favorite light armor that greatly improves martial arts combat!

Why this armor is awesome:

- +6 martial arts bonus

- 1.20x dodge skill effect

- dexterity buff also greatly helps you(1.20x multiplier)

- Combat speed effect 1.10x
