Was up, everybody! Your friendly neighborhood ShounenMan here with another Fallout New Vegas list for you. Today we are here to answer a different type of question. The mods of New Vegas are full of fun and interesting additions to the game. However, to a new player, the options could be overwhelming. So with that in mind, I bring you today’s list to find out what are the best New Vegas mods for a first playthrough. Today’s list is in no particular order.

10.  4GB Fallout New Vegas Updated

Coming in at number 10 we have 4GB Fallout New Vegas Updated by MonochromeWench - Hendricks266 - Roy Batty! This mod may not seem like much but it is an essential mod for any modded playthrough of New Vegas. Normally you are very limited to what mods you can have due to storage limitations on the game. This mod fixes that problem by giving you access to a whopping 4GB of storage that New Vegas can use. Definitely download this if you’re planning on doing any type of deep modded playthrough.

9. Unofficial Patch Plus

Coming in at number 9 we have Unofficial Patch Plus by PushTheWinButton! This is another important mod for a first-time playthrough due to its focus on the mistakes left out by the bigger patch fix that you will see later on this list. Ultimately having as many of the big mistakes and bugs patched out will make for a more comfortable experience overall. This mod is quite good and has a long list of fixes on the mod page. 8. Convenient Fast Travel Markers

Coming in at number 8 we have Convenient Fast Travel Markers by empiresco! This mod follows a pattern that you might be picking up by now. For a first-time playthrough, I believe convenience and enjoyment to be key, this mod aims to cut out some of the grind travel by adding new convenient fast travel markers to the map. Now you will be able to go straight to the casinos and many other places with the click of a button. So download this mod before you take on the unforgiving expanse of the Mojave.

Coming in at number 7 we have The Mod Configuration Menu by Pelinor! This is another mod aimed at making running a modded game of New Vegas more convenient and user-friendly. One of the more difficult things to do with modding is keeping up with all the different options and tweaks that your mods collectively offer. The Mod Configuration Menu fixes this issue by giving you one single menu to adjust all of your available mods. Download this mod and avoid the struggle of mod management.
