Devil Jin In Tekken 8, Everything You Need To Know!
Devil Jin looking totally not at all terrifying...

The devil form of Jin Kazama is back yet again as a playable character! Despite not yet having a gameplay reveal trailer, we have seen cinematic shots of the protagonist's demonic counterpart. Returning to the franchise with a faultless new look, Devil Jin is looking as evil as ever. Here is everything you need to know about Devil Jin’s newest appearance in the latest game in the series.

When Jin gets fully consumed by the devil gene, his body becomes host for the evil, aggressive and power hungry devil that is contained inside him. Since Devil Jin was first shown  in the ending of Tekken 3, he has been a staple in the story for Tekken protagonist Jin Kazama. Despite being shown in cutscenes prior, Jin’s devil form didn’t become a playable character until the series fifth main installment, Tekken 5.

Although Bandai Namco have not yet released gameplay of Devil Jin in Tekken 8, we can make assumptions regarding his moveset. Based on the other returning characters in Tekken 8, we can expect a combination of his staple, iconic attacks from previous games as well as new unseen attacks unique to Tekken 8. Devil Jin underwent a number of changes in Tekken 7, but was renowned for being difficult to play with low damage combos. Hopefully the newest installment in the series provides players with more of an incentive to use him in battle.

Devil Jin appears to get stronger and more powerful in the story of each game in the series and it’s likely that will be the case in Tekken 8. However with the return of Jun Kazama, it’s possible she will cure him of the devil gene and this will be the last we see of the devil. It’s not yet known what Devil Jin’s motive is in the story of the upcoming Tekken 8, however based on the various trailers it’s possible that Jin is learning to truly harness the devil gene and use it without the risk of losing control. This is shown further in various attacks of Jin’s moveset where features of Devil Jin become visible for a short period of time.

What we know of the Tekken 8 story so far implies that Jin has teamed up with Lars Alexandersson and they are going to attempt to destroy his archenemy, Kazuya Mishima (Jin’s Father). Since the ending of Tekken 6 where Jin defeated Azazel, we have yet to see the rivals battle, however based on the Tekken 8 trailer that looks like it’s all going to change! We will have to wait to see how Devil Jin faces off against Devil Kazuya, will the 23 year long rivalry finally end?!
