[Top 15] ACNH Best Normal Villagers

Four normal villagers grabbing a bite to eat together.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons has over 400 different animal villagers within the game. Which can make it a difficult decision of which ones to invite to your island, considering you’re only able to have 10 villagers at a time on the island. Each of the animals are grouped into 8 different categories. Of these 8 categories, 63 of the animals are placed in the “normal” category.

The normal villagers tend to have a sweeter side to them than the other personalities. Their characteristics and the way they look is unique compared to those of the other personalities. Some of them have a more plain or cute look to them while others resemble sweet treats or items, making them very unique.

Since there are so many to choose from, it can be hard to decide which ones to add to your own island. Over the years that Animal Crossing has been out, people have found certain villagers in each personality type that have become their favorite. There are quite a few favorites of the normal personality type. After all, they are the sweetest villagers within the game.

Reasons to have normal villagers:

  • A sweeter and more compassionate dialogue
  • Unique physical characteristics
  • Super friendly
  • Easy to make friends with quickly

This nutty, but sweet squirrel first appeared in Animal Crossing: City Folk. It didn’t take long for her to become a favorite. Her sweet and motherly act towards others made fans fall in love with her immediately. She’s very talkative and friendly and almost never gets mad.

Her name “Poppy”, refers to the color of her fur, from the poppy flower. She loves education and can often be found looking at nature or objects placed around the island with a magnifying glass and a book in her hand. She’s up bright and early every morning at 6am. She doesn’t want to miss a thing.

Inside her home, it’s like walking straight into the outdoors. Her walls and carpet are decorated with a fall leaves theme with lots of outdoor wooden furniture placed throughout her home. She loves the peace and tranquility she feels when outdoors. What better way to feel peaceful all the time than to bring that atmosphere inside? She may often mention it when you visit her home.

Her home is decorated in the layout of a bank or bankers office. Though it hasn’t been proven, it is thought to be decorated this way due to her animal species; her being a pig and most children owning piggy banks. Again, this hasn’t been confirmed, but it is a cute thought.

Being one of the normal villagers, Gala has a friendly and sweeter dialogue than those of other personalities. She’ll often call you “snortie” as a cute little nickname. She may need to ask a favor from you from time to time, but when she does she'll let you know how she hates to have to ask for help.
