[Top 5] M&B 2 Bannerlord Best Arrows and How to Get Them

Bannerlord Best Arrows and How to Get Them
I'm sure one of those arrows will get through eventually

Even the best bow means nothing without powerful ammunition. Have you been searching Calradia for the ideal bow and arrow combination? Traveling as a ranger, focused on dispatching foes from atop your castle wall or your trusty steed?

We have just the list for you. Here’s the five best arrows in Bannerlord and how to get them, so you can equip yourself and your fellow heroes for victory.

5. Steppe Arrows

Mounted archers charging

Bows can be potent on horseback, but make sure you have the right arrows!

Just edging out Lowland Arrows for the bottom of this list, Steppe Arrows may have fewer arrows on the stack, but their lighter weight more than makes up for it. At 0.9 pounds versus 1.5 for Lowland Arrows, you will feel the difference. Lighter weight means a faster character, and a nimble archer is an effective one.

At a meager two damage for each shot, these aren’t the most powerful arrows, but they’re good in a pinch. You can get a quiver of 24 for around 950 denars, which is plenty to keep you going.

What’s good about Steppe Arrows:

  • Low weight means faster archers
  • Cheaper than other arrow types

How to get Steppe Arrows: Like any other arrows, the easiest way is to find them in a town shop. Your best bet for Steppe Arrows is an Aserai town, so take a trek through the desert if they sound useful.

Steppe Arrows full details:

  • Weight: 0.9
  • Tier: 2
  • Damage: 2 pierce
  • Stack: 24

4.Light Bodkin Arrows

Archers defending a keep

Everyone likes to keep their distance from a well-armed archer.

Light Bodkin Arrows easily outclass Steppe Arrows. They’re only slightly heavier, but do 50% more damage in each shot! That adds up significantly over time. However, you’ll be paying double the price, around 1,900 denars.

What’s good about Light Bodkin Arrows:

  • Relatively low weight
  • More damage than Steppe Arrows

How to get Light Bodkin Arrows: Keep checking town shops and they’ll eventually show up. Unfortunately, this is one of the rarest types on the list.

Light Bodkin Arrows full details:

  • Weight: 1.0
  • Tier: 3
  • Damage: 3 pierce
  • Stack: 21

3. Bodkin Arrows

A lone archer taking on a group of enemies

Sometimes you're outnumbered, but with a quiver that full, you'll never be outgunned.

Bodkin arrows are like Light Bodkin Arrows, but heavier. Not individually, mind you. Just the quiver, because it has three extra arrows in it. That’s it. That’s the whole difference.

These are middle-of-the-road for both stats and price at around 2,500 denars, but also the easiest good arrow to find. You’ll find them in stock at almost every shop. Keep checking towns and get yourself—and your fellow heroes—one of these quality quivers.

What’s good about Bodkin Arrows:

  • More arrows per quiver than Light Bodkin Arrows
  • Same damage as Light Bodkin Arrows

How to get Bodkin Arrows: As one of the more common arrow types, you’ll find these in almost every town shop.

Bodkin Arrows full details:

  • Weight: 1.2
  • Tier: 3
  • Damage: 3 pierce
  • Stack: 24

2. Piercing Arrows

Archer defending atop a castle wall

Walking over corpses toward a loaded bow seems like a terrible idea.

Although you get one less in the quiver versus Bodkin Arrows, Piercing Arrows outshine them with one simple stat: four damage per shot. They’re also lighter than Bodkins, making them the gold standard in arrows. You won’t find anything (at least that fits in a bow) more powerful across all of Calradia.

But power comes at a cost. You’ll cough up over 6,000 denars for this quiver.

What’s good about Piercing Arrows:

  • Highest damage per arrow
  • Relatively large stack per quiver
  • Light weight, so good for a fast archer

How to get Piercing Arrows: Try town shops in the Northern Empire and Battania sell this type of arrow more often than others. They may appear elsewhere, but those kingdoms are your best bet.

  • Weight: 0.9
  • Tier: 4
  • Damage: 4 pierce
  • Stack: 23

1. Stacked Bodkin Arrow

A group of archers eye a far-off enemy

Whatever you do, make sure you put on a nice scowl as you aim an arrow at the enemy.

What could be better than four damage each from Piercing Arrows? A bigger quiver. With 32 arrows in a quiver of Stacked Bodkin Arrows, you can stick to your projectile firing much longer than the 23 you get from Piercing Arrows.

Some simple math can show that overall, you’ll get 96 damage from the Stacked Bodkin quiver versus 92 for Piercing. This seems minor, but it can make it hurt less to miss a shot. And we all miss, sometimes!

What’s good about Stacked Bodkin Arrows:

  • Cheaper than Piercing Arrows
  • Maximum arrows per quiver
  • Relatively high damage output

Where to find Stacked Bodkin Arrows: Battania is a great place to look, but check several towns repeatedly, since the arrows are quite rare.

  • Weight: 1.5
  • Tier: 4
  • Damage: 3 pierce
  • Stack: 32
