Your neighbor has been coming over to play you in Madden since Madden 15.  He’s beaten you everytime. It’s time to change things up. You realize he only plays with the same three teams… and he’s gotten really good with them. It’s time you found your favorite team to play and dominate with. Here are the best teams to play with in Madden 20 and why they’re so good. 

 

 

10) Carolina Panthers

First on the list of Madden best teams... The Carolina Panthers:

The Carolina Panthers have solid tools on their team. With quarterback Cam Newton leading the offense and a solid running game with halfback Christian McCaffrey, the Panthers are a fun team to use. 

Here’s how to win with the Panthers: 

• Cam Newton has solid throw power and can dominate the play action pass. Feel free to get out of the pocket to get some space and throw the long ball. 
• Newton is fast! Run with him to gain some yards when the throw isn’t there. Remember to slide to avoid the fumble. 
• Throw it short to McCaffrey or let him run. He’s an elite receiver and an ultimate ball carrier.
• Middle linebacker Luke Kuechly is a force on defense. Use him to pressure your opponent’s quarterback.

9) Atlanta Falcons

Number 9 - The Atlanta Falcons:

The Atlanta Falcons have been a dynamic franchise in football for a long time. Julio Jones is a hall of famer in the making and he’s a player anyone could dominate with when playing with the Falcons.

Here’s what to do with the Falcons: 

• Throw it up to Jones and use his aggressive catch to watch him make impossible catches.
• Middle linebacker Deion Jones is great on defense. Use him to push through the Offensive line.
• Throw three 20+ yard catches to Jones to activate his Double Me X-factor ability. It’ll make him catch even more passes.

8) Dallas Cowboys

Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliot - a scary duo to match up against. 

 

Next up... The Dallas Cowboys:

If you want to find a team to get good with, the Dallas Cowboys are a great pick. Ezekiel Elliot and Amari Cooper make it easy to complete passes and score touchdowns.

Here’s what to do:

• Use Ezekiel Elliot to run the ball. Use a perfect mix of strafe (LT/ L2) and sprint (RT/ R2) to get through the defense.  
• Amari Cooper is a great receiver… and fast. Use him to run perfect routes and catch the ball.
• The offensive line is stacked! Use the D-pad to max protect QB Dak Prescott.

7) Los Angeles Rams

With an 81 OVR rating, the Rams are one of the most skilled teams to play with in Madden.

Here’s how to win with the Rams:

• Aaron Donald is one of the greatest players in the game. Use him to stop your opponent's QB.
• Todd Gurley II is an ultimate Madden player. Use him to dominate the run game.
• Use Aqib Talib on defense to pick off balls and force turnovers.

6) New England Patriots

The 'Gronk Spike'. A perfect celebration after demolishing your enemy on the field. 

 

At number 6, the most American team of them all - The New England Patriots:

The New England Patriots have been a dynasty in the NFL for a while now.. Your opponent might not be happy, but choose the Patriots if you want the easiest path to a win. 

Here’s how to use the Pats:

• Tom Brady is a legendary QB. Activate his Pro Read X-factor ability to highlight the first open man. 
• Cornerback Stephon Gilmore is a defensive machine. And with a 99 awareness, use him to shutdown defenders. 
• Julian Edelman is another great receiver. Don’t forget to look for the short or long ball with Edelman.

5) Baltimore Ravens

Action Jackson with so much up his sleeve. 

 

Smart and scary, The Ravens take number 5:

MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson is a cheat code to use when playing with the Ravens. For a fun time destroying your opponent’s defense, use Jackson and the Ravens. 

What to do:

• Lamar Jackson’s speed and quickness will get more yards than his passing. Run with him to throw off your opponent.  
• Earl Thomas III is one of the best safeties in the league. Use him to intercept and run it back for a touchdown. 
• Michael Pierce is one of the highest rated Defensive tackles in the game. Use him to slam the ball carrier into the ground.

4) New York Giants

The Giants will destory anything in their path. 

 

The 4th best team in Madden 20 - The New York Giants:

The New York Giants have had struggles in the NFL, but in Madden they excel at many things. Saquon Barkely is one of the greatest reasons to use the Giants.

How to win:

• Give the ball to Saquon Barkley and let him do his thing!
• Golden Tate III is a fantastic player to throw to. Remember to time those catch buttons.
• Jabril Peppers is an all-star safety. Use him on defense to snag those weak throws.

3) Houston Texans

At number 3... The Houston Texans:

The Texans is one of my favorite teams to use in Madden. With great tools and awesome players, the Texans should be on everyone’s radar. 

Here’s why:

• Deandre Hopkins has a 99 OVR rating and one of the best receivers in the game. Throw to him consistently and he’ll deliver for you. 
• J.J. Watt is a FORCE on defense. Use him and he won’t let your opponent breathe.
• Offensive linebacker Jadaveon Clowney will pave the way for your runner. Run to his side and open up the defense.

2) Philadelphia Eagles

High flyers, sharp eyes, and loud screeches - The Philadelphia Eagles:

The Eagles’ defense is not something to overlook. Play with the Eagles to surprise your opponent and catch him on his heels.  

Here’s how to win:

• Corner Jason Kelce and defensive tackle Fletcher Cox are great players to use when on defense. 
• Zach Ertz has hands. Throw him the short ball and use that right stick to power through tackles. 
• Don’t mind Carson Wentz 83 OVR rating, he can ball! Don’t be afraid to use his arm and his throw on the run to complete passes.

1) Kansas City Chiefs 

Patrick Mahomes is a scary man when he's on the run. 

 

And the best team to use in Madden 20 - The Kansas City Chiefs:

The Kansas City Chiefs had a great run in the 2019 season and Madden gave them a ton of tools to use. Mahomes has an OVR rating of 99... and it shows on the virtual gridiron. 

How to dominate with the Chiefs:

• Mahomes is a deep ball specialist. Activate his Bazooka ability by completing a 30+ yard in the air pass, and his max throw distance will increase to 80 yards.
• Tyreek Hill’s nickname is the Cheetah. Because he’s fast. With a 99 speed rating and a 99 acceleration rating, run the ball with Hill and fasten your seatbelt. 
• Tight end Travis Kelce is no force to reckon with either. Use that Right stick after a catch to slam defenders into the ground.
