[Top 10] Elden Ring Best Vagabond Weapons That Are Powerful (And How To Get Them)

Vagabonds deserve weapons too.

You know the drill, we’ll be looking at ten of the best weapons tailored to the vagabond class. Each weapon is great in their own way, but some are better than others. As I preface with each of my articles, experiment with all types of weapons, and use what you want to use. These are just my picks for the best weapons tailored to the class.

10. Crystal Sword

Ohhh, shiney.

If you’re familiar with any of my other lists, you’ll know I love magic in Elden Ring. Luckily, this weapon requires a low strength and dexterity requirement, meaning you can pump some points into intelligence to wield the Crystal Sword. In total, the weapon requires a 13 in strength, a 20 in dexterity, and a 15 in intelligence. Without any upgrades, the sword does 106 points of physical damage, and 68 points of magical damage. It also scales a D in strength and intelligence, and an E in dexterity.

When fully upgraded with somber smithing stones, the Crystal Sword deals 259 points of physical damage with 166 points of magical damage. It now scales a C in strength, and a D in intelligence and dexterity. Other than the magical damage, the unique skill of Spinning Slash is also great. It covers 360 degrees around the player, carving anything that gets in your way. You can also follow up with a strong heavy attack. The move is great for dealing damage to several enemies at once, or dealing compound damage on a larger enemy.

The Crystal Sword can be found at the Village of the Albinaurics:

9. Inseparable Sword

Won't separated after using.

Nobody will be able to seperate you grom yhis weapon

Anything but, the Inseparable Sword is a great weapon for those wanting to put points into faith along with their vagabond build. You will need to put several points into faith, 20 in total, but it is worth it. You will also need an 18 in strength and in dexterity, but it’s assumed you are already pumping points into strength and dexterity if you’re reading this list. Before upgrading, the blade deals 98 points of physical damage, as well as 98 points of holy damage. It scales a D in strength and dexterity, but a C in faith.

Fully upgraded, it deals 240 points of physical and holy damage, scaling a D in strength and dexterity, with a B in faith. It works very well when paired with an incantation or spell. The unique skill, Sacred Blade, imbues the weapon with a holy glow, then fires a holy projectile towards your enemy. It’s great for range, and increases the holy damage on the weapon for a short period afterward. This sword is great for those who want to dabble with holy based weapons, along with their strength and dexterity builds.

8. Golden Order Greatsword

Stay gold, Tarnished

Another faith based weapon, this one combines the overall strength of a greatsword, dealing good physical damage, with holy damage that is on par with other greatswords. The cool thing about Elden Ring is the amount of different strength and dexterity weapons that infuse magical and holy elements. To wield the Golden Order Greatsword, you will need an 18 in strength, 21 in dexterity, and 28 in faith. Unlike the previous weapon, the Golden Order Greatsword does more holy damage than physical damage. Unupgraded, it deals 86 points of physical damage and 103 points of holy damage. The initial scaling is an E in strength, D in dexterity, and C in faith.

Upgraded, the sword deals 210 points of physical damage, 252 points of holy damage, and scales a B in faith. Establish Order is the unique skill of the blade. It releases an explosion, and on multiple inputs, allows for consecutive explosions chained together. The addition of the faith requirements makes an average strength and dexterity weapon feel unique, as well as fun to use.

7. Marais Executioner Sword

The executioner cometh.

Another interesting stat detour, Marais Executioner’s Sword is a unique weapon that focuses on the arcane stat rather than intelligence or faith. You keep the greatsword moveset as well as deal magical damage. To wield this weapon, you’ll need a 24 in strength, a 14 in dexterity, and a 23 in arcane. It’s good to put points in arcane when you are already putting points into dexterity. This allows you to use most dexterity weapons that deal bleed damage. At starting stats, the weapon deals 94 points of physical damage and 61 points of magical damage. There is no intelligence scaling, instead the blade scales a D in arcane, a C in strength, and an E in dexterity.

Fully upgraded, it deals 230 points of physical damage and 149 points of magical damage. It will also scale a B in strength, which is quite strong with strength based builds. What I like most about the weapon is its unique skill. Unlike some other skills that are simple attacks, Eochad’s Dancing Blade is chargeable, meaning you can extend the length and duration of the move. I always love when a weapon allows for extra versatility, giving more control to the player.

6. Magma Wyrm’s Scalesword

I like my swords extra crispy.

If you’ve ever wanted to wield a dragon’s jaw as a sword, this would be it. The Magma Wyrm’s Scalesword is a unique greatsword in Elden Ring, with scales covering the entire weapon. It does require an 18 in faith, but the big requirement is a 21 in strength and a 15 in dexterity. What’s cool about this weapon is that it deals fire damage, 74 points of it to be exact. It also deals 114 points of physical damage and scales a C in strength, and a D in dexterity and faith.

After upgrading, the weapon deals 279 points of physical damage and 181 points of fire damage. It will then scale a B in strength and faith, but still a D in dexterity. Very good scaling for strength and faith based builds. Magma Guillotine launches the player into the air. Upon landing, magma engulfs the floor around the player, allowing for a follow-up attack. The magma deals repeated fire damage, allowing control of the area, as well as the fight.

5. Blasphemous Blade

Same name, different game.

Another faith based fire weapon, the biggest reason this Blasphemous Blade is higher than number six is the damage output, on top of looking so damn cool. In order to wield the blade, you will need a 22 in strength, a 15 in dexterity, and a 21 in faith. If you’ve been following the list this far, the faith requirement won’t be an issue. With a starting physical damage of 12,1 and fire damage of 78, the large sweeps allow for massive damage. It scales a D in strength, dexterity, and faith.

Once upgraded, the blade deals 296 points of physical damage and 191 points of fire damage. It then scales a C in strength and dexterity, and a B in faith. Even if you prioritize strength and dexterity, the damage is still very good. Taker’s Flames, not like the Undertaker, emits from the Blasphemous Blade. It unleashes a row of flames that head straight towards an enemy. If timed right, it deals solid damage and can trip up most foes. There may be a little bias based on the name and look, but overall, the blade is a great pick.

  • Scales a D in strength, dexterity, and faith.
  • FP cost of 30.
  • Weight: 13.5

4. Morgott’s Cursed Sword

Spin to win.

Going back again to previous lists, you’ll know I believe bleed weapons are some of the strongest in the game. So why is Morgott’s Cursed Sword at number 4? Well, there’s a better bleed weapon coming up. This is still an awesome weapon. It does require a 14 in strength, a 35 in dexterity, and a 17 in arcane. Dexterity is key with this weapon. At first glance, the physical damage dealt being 120 points seems low at first, but the passive bleed effect is huge. The bleed buildup is 60, and with consecutive strikes the damage dealt is strong. It scales an E in strength, C in dexterity, and D in arcane.

Upgraded, the sword deals 294 points of physical damage, scaling a D in strength and arcane, but a B in dexterity. The Cursed-Blood Slice is a lunging attack that emits a blade of blood and fire. Multiple inputs allows for consecutive swings of the sword. On top of looking really cool, the skill allows for wide slices that cover an open area, as well as causing faster bleed buildup.

Defeat Morgott, then turn in his remembrance to Enia at the Roundtable Hold:

I will curse you if you don't watch this.

Why Morgott’s Cursed Sword Is Great:

  • Great dexterity scaling.
  • Wide range with unique skill.

  • Passive Bleed buildup: 60.
  • Scales a E in strength, C in dexterity, and D in arcane.
  • FP cost of 20.
  • Weight: 7.5

3. Sword of Night and Flame

Night, flame, I'm the guy with the sword.

The Sword of Night and Flame is one of the coolest weapons in Elden Ring. At first glance, it seems like a normal sword, but on close inspection, you’ll find it deals three types of damage. That being said, it requires four different stats to wield. It requires 12 strength and dexterity, and 24 intelligence and faith. Base level, it deals 87 points of physical damage, 56 points of magical damage, and 56 points of fire damage. By having those three damage types, it deserved the number three spot. It scales an E in strength and dexterity, and a D in intelligence and faith.

Fully upgraded it deals 214 points of physical damage, 137 points of magical damage, and 137 points of fire damage. It then scales a D in strength and dexterity, and a B in intelligence and faith. What I like most about the sword is the Night and Flame Stance. A light attack casts the Night Comet sorcery, while the heavy attack emits a flame. This creates what we call a mixup in fighting games, making your opponent guess the move you’re going to do. If done correctly, you’ll never be predictable. For the fighting game mechanic alone, the Sword of Night and Flame is one of my favorites.

The Sword of Night and Flame can be found in the Caria Manor:

Why Sword of Night and Flame Is Great;

  • Fire damage: 56
  • Scales a E in strength and dexterity, D in intelligence and faith.
  • FP cost of 26-32.
  • Weight: 4.0

2. Death’s Poker

Giving death, one poke at a time.

It’s a little more complicated than the name suggests. Death’s Poker checks the boxes for vagabond weapons, It also deals magical damage so that’s a plus in my book. In order to use the weapon, you will need a 15 in strength, a 17 in dexterity, and a 11 in intelligence. Relatively lower stats compared to some of the other heavy hitters on the list. Death’s Poker deals 123 points of physical damage, and 36 points of magical damage. It scales a D in strength and dexterity, but an E in intelligence. Seems low, but take into account the frost buildup the weapon causes, a passive of 65.

Upgraded, the weapon deals 301 points of physical damage and 88 points of magical damage. Nothing to scoff at here. It also scales a C in strength, B in dexterity, and D in intelligence. Ghostflame Ignition is the unique skill of the weapon, and it has two functions. After igniting the tip into ghostflame, a light attack sets the ground ablaze while a heavy attack causes an explosion. This is great for zoning out an opponent as well as dealing extra damage.

Defeat a Death Rite Bird boss that is southeast of the Southern Aeonia Swamp Bank site of grace. It only appears at night:

It won't kill you to watch this.

Why Death’s Poker Is Great:

  • High damage.
  • Low requirement stats.
  • Frost buildup.

Death’s Poker Base Stats:

  • Physical damage: 123
  • Magical damage: 38
  • Passive Frost buildup: 65
  • Scales a D in strength and dexterity, E in intelligence.
  • FP cost of 15.
  • Weight: 8.5

1. Zamor Curved Sword

Funny name, but awesome sword.

Looking past the weird name, the Zamor Curved Sword is a purely strength and dexterity weapon. It’s at the top of the list for a couple reasons, the best being the amount of frost damage you can inflict on an enemy. To wield it, you’ll need a 16 in strength, and an 18 in dexterity. Sometimes the best weapons require the least amount of commitment. At base level, the sword deals 125 points of physical damage. It scales a D in both strength and dexterity. It deals a passive frost damage of 65.

After upgrading, the sword deals 306 points of physical damage, scaling at a C in strength and a B in dexterity. The frost stays consistent, but the damage on top of the passive effect makes this weapon a powerhouse that quickly drains stamina. The Zamor Ice Storm creates a field of frost around the player, causing damage to anyone in or around the affected area. With how fast the weapon is, paired with lss to stamina regeneration, it becomes easy to go in for the kill while they struggle to do any type of attack or roll.
