Black Talon lets you shoot void projectiles, which would be a bit superfluous given that swords are made for close-range combat. But I think we’ve gone past that point after deciding to use swords and space magic to fight aliens. Anyway, its catalyst lets you build up sword energy when you black attacks.

Quickfang is a Hunter-exclusive sword that has been brought back into the loot pool. It’s one of the few lightweight frame swords, meaning you will move faster with this weapon. It is also the first sword that can roll with the PvE perk One-For-All.

4. Crown Splitter

Crown-Splitter is the Titan-exclusive sword that was brought back along with the Hunter and Warlock exclusive swords. While a bit slow this claymore-esque weapon is a solid weapon. Previously you could equip the Energy Accelerant mod which would give you arguably the most damage from a sword. However, the mod was disabled due to some bugs, so now all that’s left is a highly effective sword that also has good defense.

5. Eternity’s Edge

Someone thought it was a good idea to give the space wizards swords. It turned out to be a good one after all. This is the Warlock-exclusive sword that has returned to the game along with the other class-exclusive swords. It’s a vortex frame sword like the beloved Falling Guillotine which means your heavy attack will let you spin around like a dancer doing a pirouette but with a sword. It has great perks and is a nice match for Warlocks.

6. Steel Sybil Z-14

Steel Sybil Z-14 isn’t the perfect sword but it’s reliable and doesn’t take much work to get. The Season of Arrivals variant wasn’t power-capped and now that Sunsetting is gone you won’t have to worry about it. Overall I would recommend keeping yours if you were to find one. It can roll some good perks and saves you an exotic slot.

Sola’s Scar is a Caster Frame sword, meaning you can shoot fire projectiles at everybody because that’s what swords do. While we will only list the curated roll for this sword, it can randomly roll with Chain Reaction, which creates explosions on final blows. This makes it a monster at clearing enemies.

This saber-style sword is too great to be contained, by that I mean it couldn’t fit inside the in-game display as you can see by the above image. Bequest is a reward from the Deep Stone Crypt raid that performs well and has good guard stats and damage.
