Destiny 2’s sidearms provide a quick draw and agile shooting that finishes close-quarter encounters fast. These little handguns pack a punch and make great backup weapons but are good primaries as well. With a low range but high fire rate they are great when paired with a longer range weapon, or heck, why not pair it with another sidearm?

1. Breachlight (PvE, PvP, Gambit)

It has been melted and reforged many times.

A weapon from our beloved Titan buddy Saint-14, Breachlight is a kinetic primary sidearm that is a beast for most activities. It’s one of three aggressive burst sidearms in the game, firing a two-round burst. This gun is reliable and has some great rolls.

Am I the only one who sees?

While Precision Frame sidearms aren’t popular it’d be a mistake to pass up on Lonesome. This primary slot gun has a fire slower rate but more impact, as well as good range. It is good for PvP players who can land consistent shots but also can do well in PvE.

One of its best-known perk rolls (should you be lucky) is Feeding Frenzy and Multikill Clip which both work together when chaining multi-kills. That being said, even if you don’t get that roll this gun is still absolutely freakish.

4. Traveler’s Chosen (PvE, PvP)

"All we have left now is our faith." 

You may remember this gun from the first mission in Destiny 2, once a common item, it’s now back as an exotic kinetic slot sidearm. The exotic trait grants a stack to Gathering Light, once you consume those stacks, it will refill your abilities. The maximum stack of 10 will refill them completely, this gun is great if you’re running an ability focused build.

Another Traveler themed weapon, this arc energy sidearm is an adaptive frame gun. It features a 3-round burst fire with some good perks. It’s an overall reliable gun.

It can also turn you invisible after a kill, so now you Titans and Warlocks can have a taste of what those Hunters get to play with.

This version of the well-known gun Drang comes from the Menagerie. It works together with its sister weapon Sturm but is great on its own as well. With the right perks, it’s a beast in the Crucible.
