[Top 15] CS:GO Best AK Skins That Look Freakin Awesome!

Well, how do I look?

It’s the go-to for riflers. The one-tap machine. The insta-kill. The T-side advantage. And yet, each skin speaks for its own. Without further to do, here are some of the Top AK-47 skins in the game today.

15. Gold Arabesque

Made with real gold.

The Gold Arabesque gets its name from an Arabic and Moorish decoration consisting of interconnected flowing lines and foliage (flower/leaves/branch patterns). You can see this mostly on the magazine, handguards, and buttstock. While predominantly gold, the G.A. also offers a secondary dark leather brown color on the buttstock and handguards. What’s also unique about it is that it’s the only gold skin available for the AK-47, and for most other weapons, in fact. The G.A. just has a certain shine to it that makes it stand out, especially when it bathes in the sunlight.

  • One of the few gold skins on the market
  • A nice complement to black, yellow, and brown gloves
  • Unique linear/wavy patterns throughout the skin

How to get the Gold Arabesque

Most skins are on the Steam Community Market. However, you are welcome to get them on other third-party platforms, such as Bitskins, or CS Money. Generally speaking, these sites are safe to use, but Steam seems to be the most reliable source in my opinion. That said, the G.A. ranges from ~$900 to $2,000, depending on the condition. You can also try and get one from the Stockholm 2021 Dust II Souvenir Package, at ~$3.00 a piece (you don’t need a key for these types of items).

14. Legion of Anubis

The balance between life and death.

According to Egyptian mythology, Anubis was the god of the dead. He is depicted either as a jackal or a man with the head of a jackal. In fact, on the receiver, you can see a picture of his head with what appears to be the underworld or the land of the dead. Many often mistaken Anubis as evil, but he actually symbolized judgment and justice in the afterlife.

Ra, on the other hand, was the king of deities and father of all creation; usually depicted as a falcon or a man with the head of a falcon. You can see him on top of Anubis, with the glowing sun. In addition, various Egyptian symbols and hieroglyphs appear near the muzzle. The Legion of Anubis then not only offers players a unique color combination, but a piece of history as well.

  • Own a piece of Egyptian history (dating back to thousands of years ago)
  • Gold color is complemented by darker shades throughout the skin
  • Plenty of images throughout the rifle

How to get the Legion of Anubis

When the skin first came out, it was fairly expensive (if I recall correctly), ranging from ~$50-$100. Today, however, you can get one ranging from $10-30$ (while supplies last!). Like most skins though, this range depends on the condition. You could also test your luck by buying a ~$.05 Fracture case and $2.50 key.

13. Wild Lotus

Flowers on an AK skin? You bet!

On the body of the skin, you’ll see plenty of orange and razzleberry lotuses complemented by leaves, branches, and a sandy trail. The jungle green background is engraved with leaves and linear patterns. The color is not overpowering, yet its presence is felt. Currently, the W.L. is the only AK-47 skin with a predominant flower pattern. That could also explain why it’s one of the most expensive skins in the game today.

  • Not only offers images of a lotus/flower, but uses unique bright colors as well
  • The green leafy background puts you in another world
  • A touch of beige stripes, as if you’re walking along a trail

How to get the Wild Lotus

Usually, it’s not on the Steam Market or Bitskins. However, when you do find one, the price ranges from ~$1,500 to $4,500, depending on the condition. Factory New versions seem to be quite rare as well.  There is no case for it either.

12. BloodSport

The hunt is on.

The Bloodsport looks like something imprinted on a race car; something a professional of some sort, would use. Throughout the skin are technical terms for the gun itself, along with decals of a cat, skull, and other logos. All this, embedded in a predominantly blood-red color with streaks of white and black. There’s a lot going on in the skin, yet everything seems well organized as if it symbolized power and control at the same time.

  • For fans of a red, black, and white pattern
  • Plenty of decals and words
  • Clean-cut build

How to get the BloodSport

Prices usually range from ~$35 to 70$ (excluding stat track). This includes the Steam Market and Bitskins. You can also open a Spectrum case for ~$.046 plus a key ($2.50) for a total of ~$3.00 or so.

11. Neon Rider

Ride off into the sunset.

The N.R. features purple and pink gradient (transitioning) colors with a touch of neon blue. On the body of the gun, you can see a skull rider clenching its fists. Behind it appears to be an electrical impulse in the shape of the letter M, or V. Like the Bloodsport,  the N.R. Is what you might expect to see in a race car or motorcycle even, thanks to its decals and neon colors. In fact, most AK-47 skins don’t offer gradient colors, let alone, neon colors, making this rider truly stand out.

  • A unique blend of blue, pink and purple colors
  • Motorcycle enthusiast on the body of the AK
  • Pink bubblegum flavor

How to Get The Neon Rider

The N.R. ranges from ~$20 to $100. Bitskin’s prices seem to be a bit lower than Steam’s at the moment, going from ~$20 to $75. Or you can try opening a Horizon case for ~.$08, along with a key.

10. Asiimov

Inspired by the Sci-Fi genre.

The Asiimov offers a futuristic design thanks to its bright black and orange colors, thick stripes, and geometric shapes. If you look closely, you can see the word, “warning,” and the depiction of a crosshair(s). Moreover, if you search for the movie, District 9/Weapons, you’ll see a similar design compared to the Asiimov. It’s also likely that the name was inspired by the sci-fi writer, Isaac Asimov. The way I see it, the design symbolizes order, precision, and power that not only comes from human beings, but artificial intelligence as well.

  • Sci-Fi inspired design
  • Bright orange and black
  • Clean-cut design

How to Get The Asiimov

Currently, the price ranges from ~$20 to $150. As the skin deteriorates, so does the color/shade (white mostly). BitSkins may offer a lower price range, but nevertheless, I’ve included it within the bracket. As I mentioned before, Bitskins is generally safe to use, but like with most things, proceed with caution. If spending that much is not an option, you can test your luck with a ~$.06 Danger Zone Case and $2.50 key.

9. The Empress

There is more than meets the eye.

Inspired by the Empress tarot card, T.E. features a starry night sky background, golden sun colors on the forefront, and a dark red magazine/clip. The night blue provides a rare contrast to the blood-red colors, alongside the checkered patterns, implemented here and there. Images of a crown, roman numerals, and shields are also displayed throughout the gun. Aside from the imagery, the T.E. card symbolizes creation, development, and motherly love. You can even see the determination on her face, to protect, at all costs.

  • Inspired by a tarot card
  • Unique color combinations along with a checkered pattern
  • The golden sun, along with the crown, stands out in the middle

How to Get The Empress

Prices range from ~$20 to $100, according to Steam and Bitskins (as of now). Alternatively, you can open a Spectrum 2 Case for ~$0.25 with a key and hope to see it there.

8. Neon Revolution

Anarchy anyone?

A seemingly close relative of the late Neon Rider, the Neon Revolution is adorned with hydrographic pink, green, and black drip paint. On the body and stock, you’ll see skulls embedded in black and pink colors. The word, “Anarchy,” is inscribed in the middle, reminding you what this revolution is all about. Near the edges of the gun, you’ll also see a green apple candy coat to complement the predominant pink neon color. The unique color combination, along with the drip paint, then, is what makes the N.R. so valuable.

  • Unique black and pink combination, infused with neon colors and a touch of green
  • Skull decals
  • Fairly inexpensive (atm)

How to Get The Neon Revolution

Prices range from ~$11 to $45 (including Steam and Bitskins). For many skins, the minimal wear/field test versions are close to, if not almost identical to their factory-new counterpart. That said, the price range could be adjusted to $12- $25. Always test the skin out first though using an extension or by looking it up on Youtube. You can also open a Gamma 2 Case for ~.$027 along with a key.

7. Vulcan

A sporty and clean-cut design.

The Vulcan possesses a fairly simple, yet smooth appearance using a white, blue, gray, and black cover. Most of these colors are embedded with stripes, or “laces,” and a hexagonal grid pattern, or, “leather”. In fact, if you look closely at an American Football, you can see the resemblance. As the skin deteriorates, it becomes darker and appears less clean cut. Even if you’re not a sports fan, the Vulcan offers a simple, yet elegant color and texture combination like no other.

  • Hexagonal grid pattern/texture; similar to an American Football
  • Black and white colors are complemented by a light blue color
  • “Football laces” near the magazine/clip

How to Get The Vulcan

At the moment, Bitskins and Steam’s price ranges for this skin vary from ~$30-$400, depending on the condition. The MW edition looks fairly similar to the FN edition, but the FT edition seems a bit washed down. Nevertheless, the price range for a FT to MW version is ~$45 to $200. If you’d rather open cases, then a Huntsman Weapon Case for ~$3.00 (with a key) is the way to go.

6. Leet Museo

Inspired by the art of Picasso.

The skin features a cubism art form; known for its combination of geometric shapes, interlocking planes, abstract structures, fragmented structures, and so on. In the case of the L.M., two CS:GO terrorists are sneaking up A Long Doors (on Dust II) while passing by a couple of friendly chickens. Near the front, you’ll see a fragmented car passing by a palm tree. But, what’s truly unique about the Museo is that it plays with your sight by mixing 2D with 3D shapes in a colorful and cheerful way.

  • Inspired by an infamous artist/art style
  • Art form meshes with CS:GO elements
  • Variety of colors, such as beige, dark red, royal blue that blend well together

How to Get The Leet Museo

The L.M. is one of the more recent skins that came out in late 2021. In fact, you can find it in the Operation Riptide Case for ~$.059 along with a key. Otherwise, the price ranges from ~$18-75$, but the Steam Market currently offers a FN version for about $50. If you wanted to go for a MW or FT version, then the range is about $20-$35 (check steam and Bitskins separately).

5. X-Ray

Ever wondered what goes inside the mind of an AK?

The X-Ray lives up to its name by its artwork, or internal parts. For example, in the magazine, you’ll see a spring and a round of bullets. In the buttstock, you’ll see another spring. And on the receiver (or body), you can see the return spring, bolt, firing pin, and so on. The colors seem to be an infusion of burgundy red (foreground) with a sandy wooden background. It’s not only the parts that make this AK stand out then, but the way it’s expressed in a dark undertone as well.

  • The only “x-ray” AK-47 currently on the market
  • The sandy background adds a nice and soft-touch
  • You can see the bullets in the magazine

How to Get The X-Ray

It’s a fairly expensive skin, ranging from ~$300 to $3,000. In fact, the quality of the skin is Covert (one of the highest ranks in-game, aside from discontinued skins and melee weapons). The higher the deterioration though, the darker the skin gets, eventually losing most of its sandy color. In terms of cases, the X-Ray is exclusive to the Havoc Collection; only available to those who activated an Operation Broken Fang Premium Pass and purchased a random skin from this store (for 4 stars).

4. Point Disarray

Rainbow ice pops anyone?

The P.D. uses unconventional 3D shapes in an orderly, yet chaotic fashion. In fact, it derives its name from the sharp vertices (pointers) all over the weapon. The predominant colors of the skin are bright red and baby blue, with a hint of black and white shades. Throughout the gun, you’ll also see an inverse cross and, “X” pattern. Not only then does the Point Disarray offer a contrasting blue and red color scheme, but also eye-catching shapes that further illustrate its theme of chaos and disruption.

  • Similar shapes in blue and red colors
  • Possesses some elements of order, despite having chaotic elements
  • Resembles a color theme from the 4th of July holiday and a certain brand of rainbow ice popsicles

How to Get The Point Disarray

With Bitskins and Steam combined, the skin goes from ~$8 to $30. The Disarray appears to lose some of its colors starting with the FT version (darker shade overall). A MW version then would cost about $13-$20. Or, you can open a Revolver Case for ~.$012 and test your luck there.

3. Frontside Misty

The perfect combination of water and snow.

The F.M. uses a light blue background, combined with a white, black, and grey foreground. Its name refers to the mist from an approaching wave, notably from surfing. Across the skin, you’ll see various, but similar curvy line patterns resembling waves, smoke, and perhaps even flames. Near the bottom of the magazine appears an image of a snowflake and multiple dashes of neon blue. While the F.M. is one of the few water-themed skins in the game today, it manages to offer a unique arctic color like no other.

  • Combines element of ice, snow, and water
  • Arctic blue background
  • Patterns of curvy lines; appearing as smoke or waves

How To Get The Frontside Misty

The price ranges from ~$8 to $45. You’ll start to see slight abrasions on the body of the rifle in MW condition. But, if that doesn’t bother you, then the price changes from ~$15 to $20. And in BS condition, the paint layer is almost completely peeled off. Or, you can try a Shadow Case for ~$.015 a piece or so.

See the Frontside Misty In Action

2. Redline

A job well done.

Unlike most skins, the Redline incorporates a carbon fiber material using a standard black and grey color combination. If you look closely, you’ll also see many diagonal lines across the body, which roughly resembles the pattern for this kind of material. The red stripes are located on the handle, magazine, body, and so forth. On the handguard and buttstock, the color changes to pitch black. What’s nice about this skin is that the carbon fiber design appears authentic, rather than overpowered or tacky. In turn, one can further appreciate the slight streaks of red throughout the rifle.

  • One of the few skins that’s predominantly black, red, and grey
  • Shares colors with a black widow spider
  • Clean cut design; neither the black nor red color is overpowering

How To Get The Redline

For starters, a FN version is not possible. Therefore, the price range from a BS-MW version is ~$7-$55. Personally, I find the MW and FT versions similar enough, and therefore, the price changes drastically from ~$50 to $12. If you prefer opening cases, however, go with the Operation Phoenix Weapon Case at ~$.087 a piece (plus 2.50 for the key).

1. Case Hardened (Blue Gem)

As shiny as it gets.

In case you didn’t know, case hardening is the process of creating a hard layer on the surface of an object (usually metal). For this change to occur, the metal is often exposed to high temperatures, resulting in color variations. In the case of the Blue Gem, the rifle was exposed to high temperatures from a combination of metal, steel, and wood charcoal. With that, the colors meshed into yellow, purple, and blue, with the latter as the rarest form. Aside from this mini-lesson and all, what’s great about the Blue Gem is not just that it’s rare, but also how it offers a, “crystallized” shine that becomes more and more apparent the longer it’s exposed to the sun.

  • Shiny, but not tacky either
  • Wood charcoal colors
  • The original wooden brown colors (from the AK-47) remain intact

How To Get The Case Hardened (Blue Gem)

It seems that the only way to get the Blue Gem (AK-47) is through cases. So in other words, a ~$38 CS:GO Weapon Case. But even if you do get a Case Hardened skin, there’s no guarantee you’ll get the blue pattern or Blue Gem. You could always try reaching out online, but there’s no guarantee you’ll get it (and proceed with caution as always!). Your best bet, then, might just be to look for one on the Steam Market/third-party platform with a partial blue coating.
