What are the best M4A1-S skins in CS2?

Did you hear that? I bet you didn’t. That’s because the M4A1-S has an iconic silencer on it and it is easily one of the most used weapons in the game. It is one of three rifles readily available to you on the Counter-Terrorist side within Counter Strike 2. It is the most affordable of the M4’s and it’s my personal as well as most of the communities’ personal favorite.

The M4A1-S isn’t just an iconic and useful weapon, it also has some of the coolest and well known skins within the community. The weapons that get used the most typically get the most love from the skin creators. Why would you want to work your artistic genius on a lower tier weapon that might not get used as much? Because of this, the M4A1-S has some serious heavy hitters in the skin market. Let’s check them out.

10. M4A1-S | Nightmare

Starting off this list is a nightmare. Not a real nightmare though, the M4A1-S | Nightmare. This skin is an absolute power house of fear. It’s sporting a scary nightmare monster near the handle of the weapon. The weapon itself has a nice aqua blue that is reminiscent of the Counter-Terrorist team and this skin works really well with blue or black themed loadouts. A super solid choice if you’re in the market, as you can get a beat up version of this skin for pretty cheap.

9. M4A1-S | Hot Rod

Stealing the number 9 spot is the spicy M4A1-S | Hot Rod. This skin is a POPPING bright and vibrant red. It is supposed to be reminiscent of a hot rod car, hence where the skin gets its name. The reason for its very high price is due to the extreme rarity of this skin. It is a very old skin that came out with the beginning collections of Counter Strike and these days can be very hard to acquire. If you like this legendary skin though, you can do some trade-ups to possibly get it.

8. M4A1-S | Knight

Number 8 deservedly belongs to the clean and composed M4A1-S | Knight. This skin is from the times of old, similar to the Hot Rod. What makes this skin special is not only its sleek and gorgeous simple look, but the fact that it comes from the Cobblestone collection. What that means is that if you used this weapon in a trade-up contract, you could possibly get the most sought after skin in the game, the AWP | Dragon Lore.

7.  M4A1-S | Master Piece

This skin can be described in two words. Street Style. This is also one of those skins from the original collections that were released with CS:GO and let’s be honest, this skin has stood the test of time. It has always been less desirable than the M4A1-S Knight because the Knight could be traded up to a Dragon Lore. But matching with the blue Counter- Terrorist theme, this skin just looks so much better and works with more loadouts than the previous. The graffiti on the side of the gun really pulls you in and it looks even cooler when you’re holding it in game.

6. M4A1-S | Icarus Fell

Only one thing can be said about this skin. It is legendary. Not only because of the impact that it has had on the skin market, but it is actually LEGENDARY. The skin is called M4A1-S | Icarus Fell and it is a part of the Gods and Monster collection. A collection where all of the skins inside are themed around legends. It’s no wonder that this mystical skin based on tales of old steals the number 6 spot. This was also a personal favorite of mine, when I had one of these I really enjoyed using it.

5. M4A1-S | Guardian

Guarding the number 5 spot is the M4A1-S | Guardian. This skin came out relatively shortly after the original collections dropped, with some variance in time.  This means that this skin is also one of the classic “skins of old” coming out with the Winter Offensive case. This skin is simple, it’s sleek, and it’s clean. If you don’t want popping vibrant colors and you want to spice things up without getting burned, this classy skin is for you. The simple blue with a couple of additive designs really makes the simplicity shine.

4. M4A1-S | Blue Phosphor

This skin shines like sapphires. It can be kind of hard to tell but this shiny blue masterpiece is not only extremely fun to use, but extremely rare as well. Back when I had one of these before I sold it, I felt extremely powerful when I was wielding this skin, just purely from the look of it while it’s in my hands. This skin shines in the number 4 spot. It is a very vibrant blue, very similar to the Hot Rod, however this one, unlike the Hot Rod, has crystal-like patterns within the skin that adds to its uniqueness. It can be hard to acquire due to its high price though.

3. M4A1-S | Welcome to the Jungle

Striking the number 3 spot is the M4A1-S | Welcome to the Jungle. From this point on in the top 10 list, these skins could really all be swapped around position-wise. Meaning if I could, I would rank this skin and the next 2 all tied for the best. They each have their own interesting things and designs. This skin came out pretty recently with the Ancient collection but WOW. The design seems so simple but the closer you look the more little details there are to pick up on. Whether it’s the coiled and striking snake, or the runic icons that spread out over the weapon. This skin makes you feel like a jungle assassin waiting to strike.

2. M4A1-S | Printstream

It feels like skins coming out nowadays are striking and outrageous. The M4A1-S | Printstream changes that idea by being simplistic and clean. This is the epitome of sleek with its simple two-tone design; black and white. However, what you don’t see from the image, is that the white on this skin is actually pearlescent. This means that as you’re using the weapon skin in game and as you're moving it around, you can actually see a subtle pink and purple shine on the weapon. A true work of art.

1. M4A1-S | Golden Coil

A golden beauty. The number 1 spot is hard to give, but the M4A1-S | Golden Coil definitely deserves it. It has designs pretty similar to the Welcome to the Jungle but believe it or not this skin actually came out first, by a long shot. This skin has a golden snake striking and coiling from the back of the gun, and all along the weapon itself is some really clean and classy ornate golden designs. It shines in game and it feels so good to tote around and blast your enemies with. Some skins really make you feel powerful but I’d argue this skin makes you feel like royalty.
