8. Mark of the Ninja

This is an underrated gem, hidden in the sand. A lot of people dismiss this game because of its 2D style. But I urge you to reconsider! Mark of the Ninja is an absolutely brilliant game that allows the player to live out their inner ninja, owning darkness and shadows. Outsmarting guards, letting them kill their own friends in a panic, or cleverly subverting their attention before striking them down is so immensely satisfying! What makes Mark of the Ninja awesome:

• Grants you the possibility to be a shadow or a lethal killing machine.

Like other games on the list, you can choose whether to your abilities with full lethality or if you want to remain a ghost, hidden in the dark, never to be seen. What makes Aragami awesome:

• Master shadows, manipulating them at your will.
• Unique graphics and art style. 
• Atmospheric music.

Either, you are an unlucky guy, caught in the sights of a merciless killer, OR, you are said killer, looking for the previously mentioned unlucky guy. Guess what happens if the two were to suddenly meet? What makes Dead By Daylight awesome:

• Agonizing hide and seek gameplay.
• Getting chased by the killer is absolutely terrifying. 
• Catching one of those pesky survivors is immensely satisfying. 

Cat and mouse: Stay well out of sight of the killer.
 

Hooked on terror: Otherwise, you might end up in pieces.

3. Alien: Isolation

One of my personal favorites. Taking place in the universe of Ridley Scott that many science fiction lovers absolutely adore. But, besides that, at the core, it is a well-polished and deeply intriguing survival game. You play as Ripley, doing your best to survive on a space station, as a terrifying monster stalks your every move. Hopefully, you can make it off the station in one piece. On a closing note, if you’ve ever seen the original movie, the first Alien, then this trailer will make your blood run cold. What makes Alien Isolation awesome:

• Fantastic and terrifying stealth/survival gameplay. 
• Impressively immersive. Never trust an empty hallway. 
• Beautiful graphics and detailed models.

Scan all frequencies: Keep your eyes on the motion detector, but don’t get too comfortable with it - the Alien can hear it. 

Not this time: Trick the Alien by throwing noise-makers and give yourself enough time to run away. 

2. The Saboteur

You are Sean Devlin, an Irish resistance member in occupied France. With a stern determination, you embark on a journey to push out the nazi forces. Only by inspiring the regular people, by disrupting the German war machine, can you turn the tides and finally give France its independence.

• Satisfying sniper combat.
• Disguise yourself as a nazi to infiltrate the enemy.
