[Top 6] AC Valhalla Best Swords (And How To Get Them?)

The Vikingr have travelled far and have brought back this new weapon type to AC Valhalla.


 

With all of the weapon choices in Assassins Creed Valhalla it was surprising that a game series staple, that being a one-handed sword, were not added into the game. However, in 2021 with the release of The Siege of Paris DLC, 6 one handed swords were added to the game. Below is information on how to get them and which ones is the best. 

6. Coil Sword

This sword is back on the micro-transaction train, costing 2000 Helix Credits from the Ubisoft in-game store as part of the ‘Jormungandr pack. The sword itself is designed to look like a coiled viper and the description warns you to be careful while wielding. The bonus perk reflects this as it increases all damage you take by 5% while increasing your melee attack power by 20 points.  

Why the Coil Sword is great?

  • Very easy to get if you don’t mind spending money

5.Ulfberht

One of the 170 famed Ulfberht short swords, this weapon is awarded after defeating the Champion along the River Rhine in the Francia River Raid. Bonus perk is a two for one increasing both your critical chance and damage while parrying, making this a duellers blade.

Where to get it?

To get this weapon you need to lure out the champion of the River Rhine at Ferrieres Monastery on the Eastern side of the river. To lure him out you first need to defeat two champions. You can find them at Fort Ehrenfels in the North-West of the river and Katzenelnbogen in the South. 

 

4. Joyeuse

Bringing a bit of the Hidden Ones story into Paris is this weapon. You find this short blade in the Lutetia Bureau in Paris. A great assassin weapon with the bonus perk adding poison to the blade after 5 heavy hits. The weapon is described as being that of great warrior Charlemagne, whose sword was believed to have the head of the lance that pierced the side of Jesus Christ within the pommel.

  • High damage stat
  • Quite easy to get

Where to get it?

To get the mission to find this sword start at Sigfred’s forward camp and head to Pierres table. There you will find a note that will start this mission. The mission takes you to ruins across France to find three keys to open the Lutetia Bureau in Paris. The keys are found at Chaplieu Ruins, Gisacum Ruins and Diodurum Ruins. Retrieve all three keys then head to the bureau for your prize. 

 

3. Durendal

The weapon held by the aforementioned Charlemagne’s…Military Governor Roland. Another sword of legend thought to be indestructible and able to cut through whole boulders. The bonus perk increase your critical chance while dodging.

Where to get it?

To aquire this blade you need to loot a chest in a well found in Aquila. This area is in Evresin south of Evreux behind a breakable wall.

 

2.Egbert

Another of the 170 Ulfberht swords however this weapon is far easier to get than number 5 on this list. The bonus perk of this weapon is to increase stun after each hit with this perk stacking 10 times.

  • Easy to get

Where to get it?

This sword is found during the ‘Ulfberths Trial’ world event, where after finding a thiefs camp you have the choice to barter, sweet talk or fight for the right to hold this sword. 

 

1.Ring-Sword

By far the best and easiest sword to acquire in the whole game. The bonus perk increases your critical chance while dodging. You get this sword as part of the Siege of Paris DLC’s main quest, in a very very odd way.

  • Stun- 174
  • Critical Chance- 100 
  • Weight- 6

Where to get it?

This weapon is given to you during the main story questline quest ‘Skal’. While participating in the merriment of the town party, Eivorr takes part in a…pig race. Yes friendos a pig race, beat a big in a two lap race and you get the best sword in the game that in a difficult battle will really save your bacon. Enjoy.
