[Top 5] Subnautica: Below Zero Best Place To Find Lead

Subnautica: Below Zero Best Place To Find Lead
Get to the lead before the Squidsharks get to you!

As you progress in ‘Subnautica: Below Zero’, you’ll find that lead becomes increasingly important and hard to find. Looking for Galena outcrops in the locations listed here will greatly decrease your headache. If you can, try to go mineral hunting during the daytime so that you can see the area better. And if you have the resources to make a mineral detector, that’s even better!

5. Lilypad Islands

These green-tinted waters could be your next home.

The floating islands and emerald green waters of this biome are hard to miss. Which is just as well because you stand a decent chance of finding Galena outcrops on the seafloor. Watch out for Lily Paddlers though!

What makes Lilypad Islands Great for Lead:

  • Relatively safe: The Lilypad islands are wide open spaces, and shouldn’t be very difficult to explore. The Squidsharks and Lily Paddlers are your biggest concerns.

  • Located close to spawn: Since it’s one of the first biomes to explore, you’ll familiarize yourself with the terrain pretty quickly, and be able to zip in and out.
  • Relatively safe: The Thermal Spires are the safest of the three thermal zones in the game. However, you still need to watch out for Cryptosuchuses.

How to get there: If you’ve got the directions to Delta Island, all you have to do is head straight for it and you’ll run into the Thermal Spires.
