Top 10 FPS Games With Good Story

Red Dead Redemption 2 not only offers a great story but also breathtaking visuals

Games can do some of the best storytelling

Some games go without a storyline, some have a shallow story, but there are others that create vast lores and character-driven narratives. Games have been telling interesting stories since the Atari 2600 era and have gotten better at doing so with time. Story centered games continue to be some of the memorable from any console generation. Here are some of the best games with great narratives.

10. The Outer Worlds

Waking up from cryosleep, you find the colony you were supposed to settle in is now falling apart. Though you fin out there is a plot to destroy the colony. Your actions will determine its fate.

Settled but still unsafe: despite being controlled by corporations the colony still has plenty of danger lurking around.

9. Fallout 4

Another settlement needs our help! After hibernating in a cryo chamber, you set out into the wasteland to find your kidnapped son. Along the way, you can take sides in faction wars, explore what's left of Boston, and help humanity rebuild.

Build your strength: loot and level up your way to beating even the strongest enemies.

8. Red Dead Redemption 2

If you ever wanted to be one of the outlaws in a western movie, then Red Dead Redemption 2 has you covered. Do stickup robberies and help your crewmates with their schemes. The game is often touted for its visual fidelity, incredible attention to detail, and its character-driven story.

Stick em up! Along with major heists done throughout the story you can commit robberies in the open-world.

7. Metro Exodus

Set forth to the promised land! Except, in this case, going there requires leaving the Moscow metro system's relative safety and going out into the vast nuclear wasteland. Make sure to keep your mags topped off and gas mask well supplied with filters.

Creatures in the night: on top of the freezing cold and radiation there are also mutated creatures straight out of a nightmare.

6. Fallout New Vegas

War. War Never Changes. That is no exception in the Mojave Wasteland. Fight, explore, and align yourself with one of the factions in a war over the Mojave. Will Hoover Dam stay operational? Who will control it? The decision is yours to make.

Choose the fate of the Mojave: who you align with determines the fate of many factions and who ends ruling over the Wasteland.

5. Far Cry 3

Did I ever tell you the definition of insanity? Your friends have been taken captive by a madman on a tropic island. Escape, then fight your way through to rescue your friends in a tropical paradise.

Adopt gorilla tactics: attack enemy outposts with stealth, explosives, or guns.

4. Bioshock Infinite

The steampunk city of Columbia awaits! Your job is simple: get in the city, rescue a prisoner, and get out. Though things can be tricky when the prisoner is held in a giant floating city.

Destruction is the key: Unlock an arsenal of weapons and abilities to assist in your mission to escape.

3. Dishonored

Revenge solves everything. Being framed for the Empress’s death, Corvo gains powers from a supernatural being locked in prison. After escaping the prison, Corvo sets out to get revenge and set the record straight. Your playstyle decides the fate of the nation and of the men who wronged you.

Stealth is optional: while you can make your way through the game guns blazing it will negatively impact the city of Dunwall.

2. Resident Evil 7: Biohazard

The Umbrella Corporation is once again up to no good. Though this time instead of mindless zombies, your enemies are a family that has been infected and turned insane. Try to escape their house and get to the bottom of this incident.

Tread carefully: even after a successful fight your captive can still come back to attack you.

1. Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk 2077

Wake up, samurai! Since the game is not yet out, the full storyline is yet to be revealed. From what is know, it will explore the implications of a cyberpunk future and transhumanism.

Untrustworthy characters: the world of Cyberpunk is filled with shady and unreliable people.
