Scary stories can put a spooky spin on any vanilla Minecraft game. Nightmare-inducing stories called Creepypastas have turned the peaceful, mellow world of Minecraft into a battle to survive. The stories are all unique, some more terrifying than others. But, regardless of how different one story is from the next, they all have one thing in common. They are all incredibly entertaining.

A simple adventure with friends in the peaceful world of Minecraft. The friends have built a house and are surviving and exploring the world around them. However, on their most recent ventures out, they came across an unusual occurrence. But, as suspicious as they were, they returned home.
That’s when the story becomes a bit more spooky. One of the friends spots a haunting figure lurking in a nearby cave upon their return. However, when the others come to investigate, it disappears. A rainy, gloomy mist surrounds them suddenly, so they light torches and continue into the caves. Deep within the caves, they come across a spawn point that disappears almost immediately.
It isn’t long before there’s only one friend left; the others are mysteriously missing. He is alone. He is scared. He is being hunted. Suddenly, the friends' deaths show up; they’ve been killed by... Twisted Steve? Another form of Minecraft Steve is sick, twisted, and distorted. He lures you through a portal, and suddenly you’ve died.

Imagine loading onto an abandoned server. After spending a long day mining and crafting, you are exhausted. You place your bed, shut the lights off, and try to rest. But, instead of your eyes shutting, you get the message, "You may not rest now; there are monsters nearby."
So, of course, you have to kill them before you can rest. Venturing into the darkness, you kill all the monsters you can find. Skeletons, spiders, and anything else in your path. However, when you return to your bed, the message appears again.
The only thing to do is keep searching for the monsters keeping you awake. You find another random monster stuck below your house, kill it, and return to your bed. Again, the message appears. How could there be more monsters?
You run through a list of ideas: moving your bed, using TNT, etc. But, still, the message appears and doesn't allow you to sleep. The moon rises, and suddenly you realize it's not moving. Are you stuck at night?
The video tells the tale of Rife and his venture onto an unknown server with only one other player. Unfortunately, he soon realizes something is not quite right. Endless nighttime, overwhelming exhaustion, and frightening creatures soon send Rife into madness. It’s an interesting story, and the video is well-edited to provide you with the details in an entertaining manner.

After coming across a server that appears to be abandoned, a group of friends begins experiencing some odd events. This particular day started like any other. They prepare to fight the Ender Dragon. However, when they set off, something strange began to happen.
The story is told from one friend's perspective, with the unusual happenings panning out slowly. The first sign that something was off was that the sun wouldn't set. But then, sometimes you don't notice things like that. The more concerning fact is that the guys' friends begin to act strange.
One by one, the friends begin to say strange, irrelevant things and act odd. Breaking things, threatening other players, and eventually... disappearing. Before he knows it, all of his friends have gone missing with no explanation as to what happened.
Suddenly, they all arrive back at the server. But something is very wrong when they approach the narrator. They begin to attack with no reason whatsoever. They are not his friends at all. As the story goes, the guy went back to school the next day to find out that his friends got kicked off the server and their computers crashed.
The entertaining video is rather chilling; it makes some squirm in their seats. The story itself and the "footage" to prove it are especially spooky. It's an amusing piece of work, and you'll want to watch it more than once.

In search of a record, "13," two friends begin their descent into a mineshaft. Unfortunately, after some time, they were still unable to find the records. So they decided it was time to move on. But, as they turned a corner, they caught a glimpse of something in the distance. Something odd...
They come across a sign that says, "Can we be friends?" It's weird because neither friend appears to have made it, but they were the only ones on the server. They argue and continue on their way.
Upon reaching the surface, they begin receiving chat messages, "Let's be friends," from someone named Billy. Suddenly, a white creature with a creepy smile appears and begins following them. The chat messages continue as he follows them. Then it turns disastrous.
Billy follows them with a scream, "WE WILL BE FRIENDS." Repeatedly. Finally, the friends are cornered with nowhere to turn. Billy, with his spine-chilling smile, kills them. After going over the footage again, they realize that Billy has been following the whole time, lurking in the corners of the screen and waiting to strike.
This is an incredibly spooky video, with shocking footage of what could happen in your Minecraft world. The worst part is that you may not even realize it until it's too late. The theme music is timed at just the right spots in the video to add tension to the already freaky story. It's a brilliant video that will leave you wondering if Billy is lurking in your world.
11. Mariqui by Ghepo MC
The Story Of Mariqui - Minecraft (Feat. WildDogXD)
One of the few creatures with the exceptional capacity to influence players not only in-game but also in real life is Mariqui. Once you're chosen as a target, things will never be the same.
The story goes: One day, an anonymous player called his friend, Josh, to play with him. However, when they joined the server, Anonymous' house was on fire, with a sign that read: MARIQUI101. But he assumed that it was just his friend trolling him. The friend even helped him rebuild.
Suddenly, a disturbing message appeared in the chat: Mariqui has joined the game. But, when anonymous checked the players, it was only him and Josh. When his other friend, Roy, joined, things began to get worse. The mysterious player was spotted, and Roy began to attack. But then Roy left the game.
Anonymous tried to call Roy, but there was no answer. Then he heard loud screams from down the street, where Roy lived. Anonymous then received the email from Roy's account that ruined everything: MARIQUI WILL FIND YOU. Then Josh disappeared too. Sadly, neither friend was seen again. To this day, Anonymous lives in fear of Mariqui.
While this story is not the content creators' own creation, the video is their version of events. Its eerie sound effects are perfectly symmetrical to the spooky vibe that the video intends to give off. The editing is well-done and makes for quite an entertaining video.
10. The Lost Player by MrHoneyBun

Philip and his friends have a private server; to join, you must be whitelisted. They play on this server every night together. But, one night, Philip's friends are busy, so he decides to play alone. He plans to mine and gather material in survival mode.
While Philip is mining on this private server, he comes across a mysterious player. The player's name never came across the screen when they joined, and they don't have a name tag. So, Philip begins to question them; "Who are you?" "How did you get on the server; it's private?" But the player responds strangely: "where am I?" "Who am I?" Then, Philip was kicked off his own server!
When he rejoins, things are weird. Invisible blocks and glitches make up his house. Then, a mysterious player with all-white skin appears, and the unknown player continues saying odd things. Philip is kicked off the server again. When he rejoins the game for the final time, there are several unknown players, and the chat is glitching with weird statements. He finds himself in a dangerous position.
The video is exceptionally spooky and entertaining. The story is haunting, and the unknown character is incredibly creepy. The explanations for the unknown character are endless. However, the true horror is not being alone when you think you are.
9. Entity 303 by RetroGamingNow

Entity 303 is a widely known Minecraft creepypasta. According to the pasta, a disgruntled employee has pulled together a team of hackers to take down Mojang (the creator of Minecraft). They are attempting to do this by hacking into worlds and corrupting them, then hacking personal computers.
The attack on players is so bad that even Herobrine is said to be begging for our help. Typing "hjalp" in the chat, Herobrine is letting players know that Minecraft needs their support.
Users all over the world are being affected by Entity 303, more commonly known as 303. Servers, particularly private servers, have been overrun by a player called player303. A white figure appears in the distance in the Minecraft world, then disappears.
But it's not only Minecraft worlds that are being hacked. The hackers will go from your Minecraft world to your electronics, and Skype calls, and will even cut your power. Sadly, there aren't many who can talk about their encounters for whatever reason; it may be a disappearance or even a horrible death.
The video describes the horrific encounters that several players have dealt with. It's been years of encounters, and the hackers have yet to be found. If you scroll through your files and happen to come across any file on your computer with 303 in it, be cautious. The video is well-edited and incredibly creepy, all while being highly entertaining.
8. Smiling Creeper by Skilled

What started as a prank has turned into a ridiculous nightmare. In the official version of Snapshot 15w14a, an incredibly freaky texture of the creeper was made. It had a menacing smile spread across its face. But it was done away with almost immediately. Or so we thought.
The spooky version of the game was supposed to be gone; however, player encounters confirmed that was not the case. But the smiling creeper didn't just stay in the Snapshot version; it jumped over to the 1.12.2 version, too.
The creeper is known to follow players as they go about their mining and other activities. Usually, it doesn't interact, though it gives off eerie vibes. The video shows a player's encounter with the creature, from which you can draw your own conclusions. Music has been added to increase suspense and tension.

The video appears to be footage of what happens when players experience themselves as duplicates. It begins as a simple survival-mode game session. Two friends are just doing what they need to survive. But when one friend comes across another who claims to be in their house, things start getting freaky.
The friends argue, one swearing at them, the other insisting they were never there. But when they begin to see doubles, they know something is up. The player even begins to see themselves. At this moment, everything gets quite complicated, and the players are unsure of what to do or what will happen to them.
All in all, this is a pretty freaky video. It's very nerve-racking and mind-boggling to come across duplicates of anyone, but especially yourself. Except that this video takes an extremely unexpected twist toward the end. It's a highly amusing video that needs a lot of attention while watching so that you don't miss anything.

The seed that births The Thing is buried far beneath the surface of the Minecraft realm known as Freak World. According to reports, The Thing is incredibly hostile and will attack any player who gets in its way. Luckily, it only exists in the Freak World. Or does it?
Recently, the Freak World has been leaking into other worlds, allowing The Thing to roam freely between them. Mojang rejects the notion that an AI, much less a hostile AI, might be prowling around in players' virtual worlds. Unfortunately, very few people have been able to gather proof that the creature actually exists.
However, according to this video, a few have been able to get brief footage of their encounters. The video is unusually spooky compared to most creators' content. The music is sinister and entertaining. But the "style" of the video is what makes it most entertaining. It is made to seem like real footage of the encounters that have taken place.
5. Possessed by WildDogXD

Possession in Minecraft is just as difficult to understand and deal with as in the real world. It's said that you can become possessed if you happen to be AFK while deep in cave mining. The telltale sign of being possessed is the faint vision of a demon behind someone's Minecraft character.
This video is portrayed as the first "actual footage" of an encounter with possession. A few popular YouTubers came together to create the video. They gather together for a birthday party at one's house. However, it becomes too late for one to travel home.
So, to save the night of travel, he just stays at his friend's house. But, as the night progresses, things become incredibly weird. The homeowner began acting strange, not really like themselves. Then, as the creator tries to go to sleep, the friend helps the demon attack. It's a setup for an incredible jump scare.
4. Black Dog by RayGloom Creepypasta

The black dog is considered lucky by some. Unfortunately, that luck comes at a very unlucky price. The black dog is known for its wide eyes and a gray stripe down its back. These very unfortunate players came across the black dog, and this video tells the story of what happened.
A group of players has set their server for nighttime to last almost an hour. One friend is dead set on exploring the night and refuses to go to bed. The others plead with the player to make the night end, but the player refuses. The others are floored.
After chatting, the girl heads off to bed in Minecraft to pass the time. Suddenly, the stubborn player finds a tamed wolf, all black in color, with wide eyes for seeing in the night. He invites them to come to see him. But there's something odd about this situation. A wolf that hasn’t been tamed following you? Playing fetch in Minecraft? Regardless, the stubborn player begins to feel especially lucky.
After mining, the player finds an enormous amount of diamonds and deems the black dog to be very lucky. However, the friends are getting an odd vibe from the situation. Soon, the player begins acting strangely, almost as though he's losing his sanity. He complains of feeling weird in real life, not just in Minecraft. He leaves the server. What happens next is shocking.
This video is highly entertaining and super creepy. The tension throughout the entire video is incredible. The music is well-timed to increase suspicion and get a rise out of the viewers. It will leave you wondering what can really go wrong in Minecraft. Needless to say, if you come across a black dog while mining at night, exit the server immediately.

The story of the Lunar Moon is incredibly spooky. It's an extremely horrible event for those who are unfortunate enough to experience it. While it is truly a beautiful sight, it is one that marks the loss of your mind. Once you've witnessed the Lunar Moon, hiding is your only line of defense from the horrors.
The gamers who had the misfortune of seeing the Lunar Moon are at best questionable as to their sanity. Fear and paranoia ruled their world from that point on. The player will be pursued by entities, and their screens will go wild, among other things.
The video explains the entire story in a very entertaining but matter-of-fact sort of way. The music, while haunting, is still upbeat enough that you can assume that a story is being told, not acted out. It shows what can actually happen if you experience the Lunar Moon. It's exceptionally entertaining and highly recommended to understand the event which is the Lunar Moon.
2. Error 422 by Kunai

Minecraft has an endless number of versions. Some are played regularly, while others are said to be lost. Error 422 is not only one of the lost versions but also the scariest version. This version's original goal was to have artificial intelligence produce challenging issues. It gave the world a mind of its own. However, that wasn't going to work for players, so it was tossed away.
Unfortunately, that wasn't going to work for this version of the game. All the original code had been rewritten from scratch, allowing it to basically come to life and do whatever it wants. After downloading the version, it starts out rather simply. It analyzes your gaming patterns before making decisions and wreaking devastation in your worlds.
This video does an incredible job explaining the entire story and how it originated. It also explains what happens when someone downloads this incredibly freaky version. The commentary fits very well with the video description. Check it out; it's definitely something to avoid in the future.

This is one of the most creepy Minecraft stories on YouTube. A group of friends playing on a private server—what could possibly go wrong? They've worked together to create countless amazing builds, with one player, in particular, doing the brunt of the work. But that player suddenly begins acting strangely and building odd structures. Then, suddenly, the friend begins attacking pets and logs off. Sadly, that friend passed away that night.
The next day, the others log back into Minecraft to have a memorial, and things begin to get even weirder. What appears to be the ghost of their dead friend is now messing with them. But, they are all accusing each other of pranking. Then, they follow the entity into an unknown chamber beneath their homes. What happens next is unexplainable.
The unknown player begins chatting with them as if the person controlling it was even alive. They all disconnected immediately, understandably freaking out. They returned the following day, cautious and wary. Unexplainable events continue to happen, but they chalk it up to hackers and set a plan to catch them.
After watching the deceased player's house, they see what they're assuming to be a hacker acting strangely inside. They drop back into the hole they fell into before, searching for the hacker. What they discover is completely over-the-top creepy. Watch the video to find out what happens in this horror story. Beware though; the eerie music will have you totally freaking out.
