While most people know Minecraft to be a mellow, peaceful game, someone finally said, “What if we make Minecraft a horror game?” Creators began designing mods, mobs, maps, and skins that are sure to keep you on edge. Horror enthusiasts may now enjoy amazing resource bundles and modpacks filled with ominous ambient sounds, unsettling darkness, and terrifying, murderous animals.
Then, creators took things a step further, and there was an outpouring of excellent gameplay videos showcasing all these features. Watching them has become a favorite pastime for so many. Check out the top 15 Minecraft horror gameplay videos on YouTube.

Entertaining and funny, DanTDM is quite the creator. This video enthusiastically showcases the Minecraft horror map, Beware. DanTDM calls it the scariest Minecraft map ever. The map is an incredibly trippy experience, an attempt at messing with your mind. There's the incredibly witty voice acting, twists, turns, and jump scares left and right.
A lot of videos have been made to showcase this map. However, this video is especially entertaining. DanTDM explores the entire map with hysterical commentary. Jump scares have him shrieking every five minutes, laughing at himself along the way. Watching it with headphones makes it an even better experience.

AurorianSolo provides witty commentary, being incredibly sarcastic and cracking jokes throughout the entire video. It's entertaining to hear the reactions to jump-scares and the eerie creatures that are included when you download the map. It's obvious, AurorianSolo, and really, whoever plays this map doesn't expect this sort of experience from Minecraft.

This video includes a walk-through of the Minecraft horror map, Poison. It's a frightening map that's packed with adventure and action. The map contains a variety of violent animals, horrifying sound effects, and stunning graphics.
Seven does an excellent job of describing everything he comes across. It's an especially entertaining video that includes jump-scares, loud noises, sarcastic comments, and crude storytelling. The map alone is one that could give you nightmares, but after watching the video, it's downright unnerving.

This exciting and entertaining gameplay video showcases the creepy Minecraft map, The Hole. The map is full of unexpected jump scares. The dark demons that dwell in the tunnels and mines' depths are known to Minecraft players. However, the most notorious of those mines are known as "The Needle," which is known for taking the lives of countless people.
The video does an excellent job of showing you the story and what can be found along your journey on this map. Descriptive and knowledgeable commentary will help prepare you for your descent into darkness. If you watch, you might even find out how the mines are taking lives. Is it an accident, or is there something more sinister waiting just below the surface to attack?

This high-quality, eye-catching Youtube video has been created to showcase the horror map, New Me. The map itself is very high quality, so it adds to the quality of the video. It includes creepy custom resource packs, detailed jump scares, 3D models, and shockingly smooth animations. The map's design is incredible and is made better by an intriguing background story.
I'm not usually a fan of videos with no commentary, but this one is entertaining despite the lack of it. It's a simple but first-rate gameplay video that expands upon the details of the map. The video shows even the most trivial details to make it entertaining. Not to mention, you’ll be in for a couple of jump scares, so be prepared for a shock.

The video demonstrates the possible ways to do this safely and in an entertaining manner. It's full of unexpected jump scares, eerie sounds, and amusing details. It showcases the detailed map and remarkable resource packs.

Minecraft is not generally considered a horror game. However, Branzy spent 100 Minecraft days trying to create the most terrifying experience possible. Branzy does a terrific job of creating an incredibly spooky, unrelentingly dangerous Minecraft world. The commentary is entertaining, with screams of terror and an entertaining monologue. By day 3, you'll be laughing hysterically. You can tell that it was fun for Branzy to make this content and prepare the game for the content.

The creator of the video was under the impression that Minecraft could not be a horror game. Boy was that wrong. The video showcases the "Scariest Map Ever," via a group of friends who simply think it's crazy that Minecraft could be scary. The map is full of twists and turns, but the whole thing is one giant jump scare.
Fear rings through the group of friends for the entire video, turning moments of commentary into nothing but shrieks. It's especially entertaining when you remember that the group of friends was so positive that Minecraft could not be scary. But it turns out that Minecraft can be an absolutely creepy horror game.

There are spooky creatures that hunt you at the night. Chika, Freddy, clowns, entities, dragons, and many other mobs are shown in this gameplay video. But, besides mobs, you'll get to see the different features these modpacks offer, like eerie sounds, haunting darkness, horrifying blood moons, and much more.

While there's no commentary throughout the video, it's still an interesting and informative segment. It's entertaining in the way that learning new things is. The video is extremely cool in that it teaches you how to deck out your Minecraft world in preparation for Halloween. Or you could even take what you've learned and make your own maps and videos. By the way, the music is perfect for the video.

Most gamers know about Unspeakable, so this video is one of the more popular Minecraft horror gameplay videos. He makes incredibly entertaining videos, so the video is already going to be hilariously amusing. The map he explores in this video is called Twelve Eve.
Unspeakable does a really great job explaining the map and exploring the maps and features as he plays. He's extremely funny and sarcastic, so it adds an element of humor to this terrifying map. Unspeakable's snarky quips and cries are accompanied by jump scares and eerie stalking animals, and it's very funny.

The most amusing aspect of this video is the attempt to pit the mobs against each other, only to be attacked. The mobs themselves are pretty cool and entertaining to watch. It's extremely interesting to watch the process of creating these terrifying mobs.

The video is well-edited, and you can tell that Cash spent a great deal of time creating it. The two creators build an incredible house and a fortress to protect them against the mutant creature. Not to mention, the mutant creeper is extremely spooky.

DanTDM is absolutely hilarious, and his content is incredibly unique and entertaining. This video is just another fine example of that. Midnight Madness, a very eerie map, is featured in this hilariously humorous video of Minecraft horror gameplay.
The video is incredibly detailed, and DanTDM thoroughly explores the entire map. Hilarious commentary and comical jump scares make the video even more entertaining. Minecraft is fun, but playing a horror map on it makes it even better. You can see that in this video.
