S Tier List-

These characters are worth investing in because they are OP. They have the best stats, core effects, and active skills combined together. Definitely worth using in every battle that includes boss modes, PVP, and missions. You have a better chance of winning with these characters on your team. 

 

1. Terry Bogard (SS variant)

It’s no surprise the Legendary Wolf made it on the list. After all he is iconic and the mascot of SNK. Terry is a red element, attack-type fighter with great stats. He becomes immune to stun and burn ailments for 7 seconds. Terry also can cast a shield that absorbs damage for 7 seconds when attacked if his HP is 50% or more. He removes his shield if he is attacked 20 times.

Being the powerhouse, he has amazing active skill sets. Power Geyser stuns all enemies for 1 second. You can charge Power Geyser and gain Super Armor. When it is not charged fully, Power Geyser inflicts 764% damage and it increases target’s damage received by 30% for 8 seconds upon landing a skill. When it is fully charged, it deals 1032% damage.
Terry is a must have on your team. He’s the Justin Timberlake of The King of Fighters series. From having high stats and the best abilities, he is top tier on the S list. He is overpowered. 

• Quick cooldowns for active skill sets
• High Damage
• Shield
• Super Armor
• Stuns enemies for 1 second with Power Geyser.

 

2. Nameless (BS)

The tragic NESTS creation, Nameless has made it to S Tier. Nameless is a green element, defense type fighter with good stats. You can thank Umbrella, I mean NESTS for making him too powerful.

Nameless can apply Fear to all enemies for 3 seconds, and it can be used when he is being attacked. It can be used while he is still standing while taking damage. This move can be charged which alsi grants Nameless super armor.
This character is a must have on your team. Nameless is more OP than his Fes counterpart. What was Albert Wesker thinking? Making Nameless a literal powerhouse.

• Becomes immune to Burn and Darkness
• Shield
• Decrease active skill cooldown by 0.5 seconds when attacking burned targets.

 

3. Leona Heidern (BS)

Well, we should say Orochi Leona, since her hair is red, made it to this list. It looks like she has her Orochi powers under control, but she is a purple element, defense type fighter. Leona is very quick and has dish out combos like Lightning from Final Fantasy.

Leona’s Shin Baltic Launcher deals 793% damage. It also increases ATK by 55% of DEF for 7 seconds when landing a skill. Additionally, it deals damage equal to 50% of ATK upon landing a burning target. It applies fear to an enemy for 3 seconds upon using a skill or guarding.

Leona is a great defense-type fighter for a purple element. She can burn her opponents and deal more damage while they are burnt.

• Shield
• Quick cooldown for 0.5 seconds when attacking a burnt target
• Increased active skill damage on burnt targets by 110%

 

4. Chun-Li (EX/SF 5 Variant)

Fans are glad that Chun-Li is a free EX fighter in the game. She has good stats, for those who have been able to awaken her to a 2-3 star level for free. Chun-Li can still be awakened to 7 star (5 awakenings and 2 EX).

Her iconic Spinning Bird Kick can freeze opponents for a few seconds. She can do long combos which can do massive damage along with going in MAX mode or EX mode.

If you have Chun-Li awakened to her 2-3 star level, you will find her OP. She is very useful on your team for ice damage. Combine her MAX and EX mode, she can perform more combos and damage, just like the VS. series.

• Reflects freeze and chill
• Shield
• Immune to damage for 4 seconds

 

5. Ryu

The legend, himself, the Street Fighter mascot, Ryu is on this list too. Being a crossover character, Ryu is one the best S Tier characters to use. He is a yellow element, attacking-type fighter with high stats.

Ryu has a shield that activates when he gets hit for the first time. Tatsumaki Senpukyaku deals 940% damage. It can be used when he is attacked while standing. He gains super armor while using this active skill for 3 seconds. This move has a 70% chance to remove the target’s hyper armor or shield upon landing a hit.
Ryu can perform long combos. He gets power boosts from his active skills that come with additional effects.

• Reflects Stun and Starlight
• Shield
• Resets one active skill’s cooldown upon landing a skill for 5 seconds.
• Increase ATK by 12% and penetration by 1000 for 5 seconds for each attack that stacks up to 5.

 

6. Akuma

The devil himself made it to this list. Akuma is a purple element, attacking fighter with great stats. He’s usually OP as always in any other game, but in KOF All Star, Akuma is another story.

Akuma’s Hyakkishu EX inflicts 937% damage. Its active skill cooldown decreases by 3 seconds upon use while in EX Max mode. This move also increases ATK by 60% for 7 seconds.
Akuma is one of the best purple element fighters in the game currently. If you have him and are able to awaken him to a higher level, invest in Akuma. He is your key to victory.

• Reflects Fear and Burn
• 50% to apply fear to all enemies for 0.5 seconds upon landing a skill.
• Deals burn damage equal to 5.5 times of remaining burn damage
• Immune to damage for 4 seconds when HP is 30% or less.

 

7. Sol Badguy

Another collaborative fighter has made it to this list. Sol is another free SS character to use in battles. His stats are amazing if you’re able to awaken him to a 3 star. Max him out, he’s even more powerful.

His Gunflame active skill can be charged. While charging, Sol gains super armor. It reflects 15% of damage while he charges Gunflame.
For a free SS character, Sol is overpowered. Still use him, if he is one of your best, red-element, fire characters. He does high damage.

• Shield
• 30% chance to stun the attacker for 3 seconds when attacked
• Recovers 1% HP every 1 second for 10 seconds if HP is 50% or lower
• Gains 15% Power when combos are 10 or higher

 

8. Omega Rugal (BS)

It’s no surprise, Omega Rugal made it to the list. For those that had play KOF 98 or Capcom VS. SNK 2, you know how OP he is. In this game, he is OP and one of the best characters to use.

His Dark Genocide inflicts 862% damage. He gains super armor and damage immunity for 3 seconds. Omega Rugal also has a 70% chance to reset cooldowns upon a successful attack from this skill.
Omega Rugal is one of the best blue element fighters. As an attacker, he has the best stats. He can also be charged up to EX now.

• Becomes immune to stun and fear.
• Super Armor
• Can deal blood damage
• Gains ATK boosts from active skills

 

9. Blue Mary (SS)

The detective and cop, Blue Mary, is on the S Tier list. Surprisingly, Blue Mary is actually really useful. She is a blue element, defense type fighter. She is quick and can perform long combos.

Her Real Counter is very useful in this game. It stuns enemies when they're nearby. However, as a counter, this move can be charged. When Blue Mary gets hit, she uses Real Backdrop, which deals 785% damage. It also increases ATK by 42% for 8 seconds. Gains super armor for 3 seconds when using a skill. It has a 70% chance of removing super armor or hyper armor from all targets upon use.
Although Blue Mary is a defense character, she can deal a lot of damage. She gains power boosts from her active skills. She does shock damage from her active skills, should you need a shock character. Blue Mary is one of the best shock damage dealers.

• Immune to stun and shock
• Decreases active skill cool down by 0.5 seconds when attacking shocked targets.
• 80% chance to stun all targets for 1 second upon using an active skill.
• Activates Stun Fang when attacking targets that can’t be grabbed.

 

10. Orochi (BS)

With the new update recently, Orochi can now be charged up to EX mode. Just like his console versions of the games, he is OP. Orochi is quick and can dish out damage and projectiles like there is no tomorrow.

Orochi’s Utsushiiwai EX deals 934% damage. He gains hyper armor for 3 seconds when using this active skill. It also has a 70% chance to remove the target’s hyper armor or shield upon landing a hit.
Orochi is a great green element fighter to have on your team. He gains power boosts for each attack. Orochi gets more powerful when he performs long combos.

• Gains power boost and penetration for 5 seconds for each attack, which stacks up to 5.
• Gains 10% power combos are at 20 or above
• Decreases active skill cooldown by 0.2 when attacking targets affected by starlight.
• 70% chance to reset cooldown of blast active skills upon landing Utsushiiwai EX.

 

A Tier-

These characters are also useful, if you do not have the S Tier characters. They do decent damage. Most have good core effects and active skills. But, they’re still worth investing in case you don’t have the characters listed above.
