This is an amazing fight of the leader of the Phantom Troupe against the grandfather and head of the house of the Zoldyck family, a family of master assassins.

• Even though this fight is amazing and gives a hint at the power of masters it still ends anticlimactically once the Zoldycks boss dies and they have no reason to fight further.
• During the Troupe’s heist on the black market auction, the Zoldyck family was hired to take out the Troupe but once the boss who hired the Zoldyck family was killed the fight ended without either side being seriously harmed in any way.

What Makes Assault X And X Impact Awesome

• We get to see what the leader of the Phantom Troupe is capable of and what he’s able to do while finally getting to see two Zoldyck members fight.
• With this fight, we get to learn and see just how powerful the Troupe leader is as well as the Zoldyck family as well as their unique and awesome powers making this episode a must-watch in the series Hunter X Hunter.

9. Revenge X And X Recovery | Rating: 8.9

So much happens that leads to this and the name is rightly names as Gon and Killua go to avenge Kite, Gon gets angry and we see a power from him we haven’t seen before.

• My first reaction when I saw Gon get angry and emit a black and white aura that’s drastically different than before it was amazing and frightening.
• Even though we’ve been expecting this fight Pituo doesn’t wish to fight and is more focused on following her King’s order to heal someone special to the king.

What Makes Revenge X And X Recovery Awesome

• Gon isn’t normally someone who would resort to murder or let his anger take complete control of him and seeing his aura change gives an eerie effect to the situation.

8. Past X And X Future | Rating: 8.9

The last episode has to be one of the best episodes with the most anticipated event in the series, Gon finally gets reunited with his father Ging after everything that happens.

• It’s always hard seeing a show end but this episode had to happen and fans of this anime know this and this episode delivers a good ending.
• Of course, we’d all love to see more of Hunter X Hunter but every good thing has to end and this episode was a good way to end the series.

What Makes Past X And X Future Awesome

• This episode recalls every event of Gon’s time becoming a hunter and the experiences he’s been through as he climbs his way to the top of the tallest tree to see his father.

7. Light X And X Darkness | Rating: 9

This episode takes place around the middle of the chimera story arc with Ging’s student Kite as he hunts down the chimera ants with help from Gon and Killua as well as his team.

• This arc is filled with somewhat sad moments and unexpected deaths that haven’t been shown before now such as the death of children and a notable named character.
• This episode shows us a recollection of how Killua and Gon got stronger through their training and gives them a huge clue to finding Ging, Gon’s father.

What Makes Light X And X Darkness Awesome

• We see the power of one of the royal guards of the Chimera Queen and get news of reinforcements arriving to help against the Chimera Ant disaster.
• This episode gives our heroes another look at the hard truth about nen users and how they compare to others who are stronger right now and it gives them a new mission to get stronger to help against the Chimera Ants.

6. Monster X And X Monster | Rating: 9

The King of the Chimera Ants is born and our heroes must stop him before things get worse as Zeno Zoldyck and Isaac Netero attack throws the palace into chaos as the rest of the team charges in to find and defeat the King in his room.

• These few episodes start off with more narration than most other episodes do but it works to give more insight into what’s happening that we wouldn’t know.
• Another great scene that shows how aware and focused Gon is when facing any kind of adversary and any kind of task put in front of him.

What Makes Monster X And X Monster Awesome

• We see everyone fighting and giving their all to either defeat the King or to save him and it takes a strange turn instead of just a simple fight.
• This episode gives more story before a fight between the King and Zeno and Netero as they are all monsters in their own right hence the name of the episode.

5. Condition X And X Condition | Rating: 9.1

Kurapika has a personal vendetta against the Phantom Troupe and we finally get to see him fight against the most physically strong member of the Troupe in this episode.

• This fight is amazing with one of the funniest yet dark events in the series with the member of the troupe saying “ok who wants to die next” in the last episode then immediately dies in this episode.
• Kurapika is one of the very few specialists and one of the even fewer capable of using every type of nen making him extremely powerful even though his vendetta restricts him.

What Makes Condition X And X Condition Awesome

• Kurapika is going against the most physically strong member of the Phantom Troupe and not only holds his own but defeats and kills him.
• This fight was planned and Kurapika is so calm and in control the entire time and it shows how smart he is as a strategist and how strong he is as nen user.

4. Charge X And X Invade | Rating: 9.1

Everyone is on standby ready to put their plan in action with a couple of unlikely allies as they attack the royal guard and the King of the Chimera Ants.

• This episode starts off with one of the most amazing attacks as a gold dragon descends on the castle of the King as Isaac Netero attacks with an unavoidable powerful attack.
• Netero is easily one of the most powerful pro hunters and has lived even longer than Zeno Zoldyck with years of practice ahead of anyone.

What Makes Charge X And X Invade Awesome

• We get to see some of Netero’s power and an amazing attack with a golden dragon as well as some insight into the reason for his power.

3. This Person X And X This Moment | Rating: 9.6

This beautiful yet sad episode shows a more human side of the Chimera Ant King, Meruem before he and Komugi die together holding onto each other’s hands.

• This episode is one of the top ten on IMDB and for good reason, it’s not packed with action or suspense it’s just a beautiful scene between Meruem and Komugi
• A sad end to the Chimera Arc both the Meruem and Komugi die here because of the poison from the rose bomb Meruem was in.

What Makes This Person X And X This Moment Awesome

• This episode wasn’t a fight or anything extreme it was just a light-hearted ending to the Chimera Arc with the death of Meruem and Komugi as they die together holding hands.

2. Anger X And X Light | Rating: 9.7

Feeling nothing but anger at Pituo because she didn’t give Kite back because Kite is sadly dead, Gon is filled with so much aura and power he becomes an adult temporarily.

• I always knew Gon was powerful but this entire episode proves that there isn’t a limit to how strong he can and will become in the future.
• This episode is sad and not because anyone important or loved dies but because Gon loses himself possibly giving up everything to gain this power.
• We end on a cliffhanger with this episode and it makes us yearn to see more to see what happens to Killua and Gon.

• Not only do we get to see Gon become a much more powerful version of himself we see how much of a friend Killua really is willing to throw himself in harm’s way to save Gon.

1. Zero X And X Rose | Rating: 9.8

One of the most epic fights in the series with Nereto using his ultimate technique hand zero while facing against the Chimera Ant King.

• I remember my friend showing me this fight and this was what got me into watching this amazing show and made me a lifetime fan.
• This episode shows us the last moments of one of the oldest masters on Nen and ends with a beautiful explosion while the fight was fast-paced and amazing.

What Makes Zero X And X Rose Awesome

• Not only is this fight beautiful to watch it’s filled with hope and the last words of Nereto as he fights the Chimera Ant King alone using his ultimate move Zero.
• The Chimera Ant King isn’t your typical villain who just wants to kill everyone and everything just for the sake of evil and it’s refreshing to see.
