[Top 10] Dokkan Battle Best LR

Dokkan Battle Best LR
The original LR

Let's see how well those stones paid off

The rarest kinds of cards in the game, they can be as hard to get as they are to max out. However, all that hard work pays off as they are among the strongest units in the game. While there are many criteria to consider and different ways in which many LRs   are the best, these 10 earned their spots thanks to their general usefulness and particular abilities.  Let’s get to the nitty-gritty now, here are the top 10 best LRs in the global version of the game.

10. Rampaging Vicious Saiyans Nappa & Vegeta

One of the most recent additions to the game and the unit that dethroned LR STR Broly as the World Tournament king.

  • Above all, they are here because of their usefulness in the World Tournament, but they are also great on stages where you face  various opponents at once. They are superior to Broly thanks to their 12-17 ki Super Attack that does not sacrifice defense, as well as a better passive boost.
  • Their ki+5 passive boost makes it incredibly easy to use their SA.
  • They are no slouches, thanks to their passive boosts they can take hits and, most importantly, hit hard. Their several attack boosting links further help them knock out the competition quickly.
  • Vegeta and Nappa are also the sole Inuman Deeds Category Leader.

9. All or Nothing SSGSS Vegito

A card well-worth the grind, particularly for F2P players. This man can be put in a wide variety of teams and perform greatly in them all.

  • His availability is one of the main reasons he is on this list. Though grinding his medals and other copies through Baba’s shop takes a while, you don’t need to spend a penny to rainbow and raise his SA to level 10.
  • Despite his age, this Vegito holds up really well in today’s meta thanks to his straightforward passive ability and links such as Prepared for Battle, Shattering the Limit, and Super Saiyan. You will struggle little to set off his Super Attack (SA) and expect to hit your opponent hard, as well as contributing to the ki and attack of your allies.
  • Speaking of his SA, his 12-17 ki allows Vegito to infinitely stack his attack and defense, making him great for events like Fighting Legend: Goku.
  • End-game material. Combine his abilities with the fact that he belongs in Super Battle Road categories like Potara, Future Saga, and Realm of Gods, and you can expect to get a lot out of him for end-game events. Not to mention he will make a great addition to your Ultimate Battle Roster.
  • Although he’s missing the “Over in a Flash” link, he still makes for a solid linking partner for the 5th anniversary Vegito.

8. Mark of Almighty Power Goku Black (SS Rosé)

This was a bit of a tough decision. Initially, I thought about placing TEQ Broly here, but  his higher viability and hitting power in stacking events makes him a better choice for spot.

  • He makes for a decent tank thanks to his strong base stats, passive boost and defense boost upon launching a super attack.
  • Although his ki links sometimes limit him, his passive ki boost can help make up for this as it relates to what he does best, which is…
  • Finishing fights! This man has tremendous damage potential and will wipe the field with your opponents when used properly. His active skill makes him an even stronger weapon and can help you out of a sticky situation.
  • Lastly, he acts as a healer with his 6% recovery. It may seem small but in a strong team with say around 392000 HP, 6% will be 23520--not bad, eh?

7. Miracle-Making Super Saiyan Goku

If it’s an amazing nuker you’re looking for, I got just the man for you. This Goku is here to chew gum and hit hard, and he’s all out of gum.

  • Thanks to his ki orb changing passive and ki absorbed increased per rainbow orb, Super Saiyan Goku will have little trouble activating his Ultra Super Attack that will deal incredibly damage while boosting his stats.
  • Getting the most out of him is also not much of a problem thanks to the abundance of Super Saiyan category units in the game.
  • He has great synergy with other Super Saiyan units as well. Not only is he one of the best leaders for the category, but with links like Prepared for Battle, Super Saiyan (duh), Golden Warrior, and Fierce Battle he will benefit himself and the entire team greatly.
  • His straightforward passive makes it so that he’s ready to fight from the get-go, no need to build up himself.

6. Two Makes the Strongest of All Universes SS2 Caulifla & SS2 Kale

The pair that gave Goku the hardest time in the anime during the Tournament of Power, they are just as tough in Dokkan. The only thing holding them back are the limitations on their passive skills.

  • Offensively, they are formidable thanks to their additional attacks and huge attack buff when their passive is fully activated.
  • Defensively, they can definitely tank thanks to their high defense stat and their SA defense boost, but it is their dodging that makes them super useful. With a 66% chance of dodging after several attacks performed, they will definitely save you valuable HP and can come in clutch when your opponent uses their SA.
  • They also become self-sustainable after a few turns on the field, gaining up to 6 ki, which becomes a guaranteed SA at that point.
  • Caulifla and Kale are also currently the best leaders for the Joined Forces category and can make for a solid mono-AGL team.

5. Apex of Supreme Saiyan Power SS4 Goku

One of last anniversary’s Dokkan Fest units and a well-rounded card overall, there are plenty of reasons why you want him in your box.

  • He is one of the 2 best leaders for Goku’s Family, a top-notchcategory in the game. He can also double as a Super AGL leader for Super Battle Road and other events where you want a specific type advantage.
  • While he lacks an initial defense boost, Goku becomes tankier with each passing turn. Add to this his defense boost through his SA and you got yourself a formidable tank for longer events.
  • Not only can Goku take hits, but his chance to dodge and counter enemy super attacks can prove invaluable against hard-hitting opponents.
  • Staying alive is not this Goku’s only game. Thanks to his passive ki absorbed, you can launch his SA and Ultra SA with little trouble; and if you need to wrap up a fight, his active skill will both severely hurt the enemy and further boost his attack for the next hit. Overall, you can expect him to eat through your opponent’s health bar.
  • This Goku is also among the best units in the Shadow Dragons Saga category.

4. Awakened True Power SS Gohan (Youth)

I know, I know. “But his transformation is soooooooo hard to activate.” Just think of that as a bonus for a moment because in his normal state alone, this Gohan is an absolute BEAST.

  • His infinite defense stacking and passive boost make him an impenetrable fortress against bosses in long events like Infinite Dragon Ball History, making him a key unit for such events. Even without much stacking, he is a solid defender.
  • While he has been labeled as the staple stacking event unit, LR Gohan can also hit hard thanks to his passive attack boosts and links such as Super Saiyan and Fierce Battle. Although it requires him to meet very specific conditions, his attack potential shoots through the roof when transformed and coupled with SS Goku.
  • He is an incredibly versatile unit too, besides a solid linkset, he can be thrown into 11 different categories and perform well in them all.
  • Most importantly, he is the sole, best leader for the Kamehameha category, making him an invaluable unit given that it allows you to bring some of the best units in the game together. And he can double as a super AGL lead (lots of these huh?).

3. Sign of a Turnaround Goku (Ultra Instinct -Sign-)

A bit of a surprise unit leading up to the 5th anniversary that had us torn about whether to keep saving dragon stones or spend some on his banner. While he may not be in his Mastered form, this Goku is still a force to be reckoned with.

  • Thanks to his 70% chance of dodging all enemy attacks, Goku can help you save plenty of health. Although his dodging drops after 7 turns to 50%, he is still a very capable dodger, but that will rarely be problematic because…
  • Most opponents will  be done for by the time his passive dodging drops. Unless you’re playing a stacking event, UI Goku will plow through your opponents due to his initial boost, attack and ki boost per dodge, and ability to disable the enemy's guard.
  • Achieving his maximum potential is not very difficult mainly because in challenging events, opponents tend to attack much more often per turn, giving Goku ample chances to dodge.
  • But say you don’t want to rely too much on his dodging for longer events, well he is a reliable defender as well. Between his strong defense and both passive defense boosts, you can expect him to tank well.
  • Lastly, he can be thrown into powerful teams like Kamehameha, Realm of Gods, and Universe Survival Saga while having great synergy with most of the strongest units in those categories.

2. Ultimate and Invincible Fusion Vegito

Whether you got lucky or failed to pull him, I am sure you’ll agree that transforming Vegito is one of the top-notch units in the game. Vegito is as powerful as his animations are beautiful.

  • Being one of 2 leaders of the Final Trump category, he is a premium leader. Moreover, doubling as a Potara leader opens up a lot of options to support him and craft a strong team.
  • He is an absolute powerhouse. Between his cumulative passive and super attack stat boosts, as well as launching an additional SA, Vegito will tear through any opponent. Add to this his Active skill attack and he will wrap up any fight in little to no time.
  • If at any point you need an escape, you can wager on his ability to dodge as the 3rd attacker in a rotation.
  • He is not limited to attacking thanks to his limited stacking defense, initial boost, and self-boosting SA. With all this, he makes for a worthy tank.
  • Lastly, he is self-sustainable thanks to his passive that gives him +7 ki and balanced boosts after a few turns on the field when transformed.

1. Ultimate and Supreme Fusion Gogeta

The other 5th anniversary unit, he is also an impressive unit that earned his spot at the top just barely. This Gogeta and Vegito are like chips and salsa, they’re good apart but so much better together; they are at their best when paired together.

  • This unit shines with his transformation and, fortunately, it is one of the easiest ones to attain as it only requires you to wait a few turns.
  • He is the other Final Trump Card leader, but you already knew that.
  • Thanks to the additional ki link in his base form, Gogeta will have an easier time stacking attack through his Super Attacks, something that ultimately makes a huge difference when he transforms, not to mention it also boosts his active skill attack.
  • The Warrior Gods link he gains, does more to benefit his attack than Vegito’s Power Bestowed by God.
  • Lastly, his passive skill allows his attacks to be effective against all types of enemies, helping him hit hard consistently against all foes.
