The AK-47 is a widely known weapon in video games most likely due to its presence in the game Counter Strike. In Call of Duty’s Warzone the gun may not be one tapping opponents in the head the gun is very fun and rewarding to use in game.

The AK-47 has a lot of recoil for a slow shooting weapon but it hits very hard. If you are able to accurately control the recoil this gun can be quite competitive but can fall a little short when compared to the absolute meta weapons in Warzone.

The best AK-47 loadouts are going to try to help with the recoil stat and make the gun a little easier to use. Since this weapon came out for Modern Warfare 2 it has a considerable amount of visual recoil, making an optic a great attachment. Since Warzone has a larger health pool, since you have 3 plates, we also will almost always want the 40 round magazine to help take multiple enemies out.

3. No Recoil Build

This build uses all the attachments to get as low a recoil stat as we need to be able to easily shoot enemies in medium ranges. Using the IG-K30 Barrel helps us complete this nicely while the Mk. 3 Reflector reflects that this weapon should be used for medium to short encounters. You could swap the 40 Round Magazine for the FT TAC-Elite Stock if you want more recoil and feel you don’t need the bullets.

This weapon is great to use as a sniper support because it has great damage and kill potential as it is an assault rifle. However you will definitely run into difficulties up close as many guns will kill you much faster. It’s fun to use and shows how good the weapon would be if the recoil was reduced on the base gun, but you have to play wisely with this build.

What The No Recoil Build Excels in:

• Medium ranged combat due to low recoil and low range
• Sniper support because it can do all ranges
• Great for getting enemies off of cover because it is easy to be accurate

2. Meta Build

This is the Meta build that we were able to source from many popular streamers and youtubers, and it really is a great build. If you are able to control the recoil, which has been mitigated a bit, this weapon will be excellent. This definitely is the best build in terms of damage range and bullet count which are often the most important parts of Warzone weapons. But you will have to control the recoil.

I think that it is unlikely that on mouse and keyboard you will be able to accurately hit enough consecutive shots on enemies at long range to make this the best build. However, it does kill the fastest at that range compared to other builds in this guide. It also keeps you off the mini map and is manageable enough in the medium ranges.

What The Meta Build Excels in:

• Best damage range build for the AK-47
• Medium to long range combat if you can control the recoil
• Taking multiple enemies out with 40 round magazine
• Stealthy play because of the suppressor being used

1. Low Recoil Good Range Build

This build is meant to bring the recoil down as much as possible while keeping the range stat high to make it a great primary weapon. Using the JAK BFB instead of the Suppressor makes the gun more controllable but loses a little range. When we add the FT TAC-Elite Stock instead of the 40 round mag this gun becomes really good at longer ranges.

I find this gun's recoil pattern to be very hard to control at the longer ranges, this build changes that. We maintain a good damage range and bullet velocity but make it much easier to land consistent shots. The main problem with this build is the bullet count. Although 40 isn’t a lot and might not be worth the attachment shot, 30 bullets just doesn’t feel enough when other weapons can have 60 or more.

• Long ranged kills made easy due to low recoil and good range stats
• Solo and Duo games because of the low ammo count
• Situations where accurate players can hit multiple headshots
• Aggressive play because of no suppressor
