"Use the meta or get killed"

I know, this game can be a bit extremist with the quality of its guns. They can either be excellent or completely useless… there’s no in-between. If you’re still grinding the Atomic camo, you have to read this, because we’ll go over every detail about the 10 best weapons in CoD Vanguard. You can thank me later for making your lives easier.

10. BAR (AR)

This assault rifle almost looks like an LMG. It's a little heavy, but believe me, if you hit the target, your opponent won't want to get in your way again. The BAR has a low rate of fire, but lots of damage and controllable recoil. It is incredibly easy and comfortable to use.

• Accurate

• High caliber
• Full-auto
• Accurate

What’s great about this gun:

• High caliber allows you to wall bang people
• Its high damage allows you to kill opponents super fast
• Great for long to medium range engagements

9. Automaton (AR)

The Automaton... this beauty not only shoots incredibly fast but also has very good control. Overall, it is an excellent assault rifle. If you like to rush enemy respawns and play aggressively, the Automaton is literally built for you.

• Super Accurate
• Low recoil
• Perfect for short and long-range engagements

What’s great about this gun:

• Fast fire rate
• Accuracy and recoil are pretty decent
• You can take on multiple enemies, thanks to its fast fire rate

8. MP-40 (SMG)

Indisputably, the meta when the game came out and it's still up there. It's no coincidence that even in Warzone it's a beast, and that's because the MP-40 allows you to move fast, aim fast and kill in a very short time. If the Welgun didn't exist, it would be the best submachine gun of season 1.

7. NZ-41 (AR)

We could say that it is BAR's little brother. Low rate of fire, high damage, very good TTK, and on-point accuracy. The only thing that sets it apart from the BAR is that it feels more compact and therefore faster and smoother.

• Difficult recoil control with sustained fire
• Full-auto
• Decent fire rate

• Headshot damage is insane
• Fast TTK
• Great for medium to short-range engagements

6. STG-44 (AR)

Practically no recoil, a decent rate of fire, and an OMG-type of damage. The STG is still one of the best weapons, even if it's been nerfed. It is incredibly smooth to control and very friendly to new players. Simply convenient for every player.

• Customizable for encounters at close or far distances
• Kind of slow fire rate
• Amazing damage
• Low recoil

5. DP-27 (LMG)

Yes, I know, this LMG takes thousands of years to reload. I realize it may look like you're carrying a truck in your hands, but this truck shreds. With easy to control recoil, decent damage, and excellent cadence the DP-27 is one of my favorite guns in the game. Getting the gold camo for it was much easier than I expected, and the best part is that it's actually fun to use.

• Full-auto/Burst

• Works perfectly at long-range engagements
• You’ll destroy the opponent team

4. BREN (LMG)

The perfect weapon does not exist... never mind. It's absurd how good this LMG is. Everything good you think a gun can have, the BREN has. It's still meta in Warzone too and yes, even if you move slow with it, it's one of the best options in the whole game... hands down.

• Amazing damage
• Accurate
• Great at short, medium, and long-range engagements

• Feels like a laser beam
• Nasty damage
• Amazing fire rate
• Superfast TTK

3. Type-100 (SMG)

One of my personal favorites, to be honest. After several gun balances, the Type 100 has become a favorite of many, including me. It has a super easy to control recoil, mobility that makes you feel like you're flying, and a rate of fire that... wow! Do you want to be a ninja in the game? This is the gun for you.

• Highly accurate
• Fast fire rate
• Great mobility
• Effective damage range

What’s great about this gun:

• Hip fire accuracy’s pretty, pretty good
• Ninja-type of mobility
• Fast reload time

2. Cooper Carbine (AR)

The best weapon in the game? Almost... it almost is. The Cooper Carbine came to raze the battlefield. It is without a doubt a flawless weapon. You can build it for either long-range encounters or to go blow heads off at the enemy respawn. Dude... please tell me you've tried it.

• Great damage
• Adaptable for short, medium, and long-range engagements

What’s great about this gun:

• Fire rate
• Headshot damage is absurd
• Recoil is almost non-existent
• Damage is disgusting!

1. Welgun (SMG)

This SMG was recently added to the game right in the middle of the first season. It melts. It’s that simple. With excellent mobility, good fire rate, and supernatural damage, the Welgun came just to be placed in the meta of Vanguard AND Warzone. I don’t know what you’re waiting for if you haven't unlocked it yet.

• Heavy, but still fast
• Perfect for short to medium range engagements
• Lethal full-auto

What’s great about this gun:

• Insane fire rate
• Good damage
• Great mobility
• Amazing option for rushing
