We all know how frustrating it can be to find a gun that suits you perfectly. Whether you know your play style or not, there are just so many options when picking your loadouts. I’m gonna give you the top 5 SMGs to boost your loadouts to the next level.

5. Bizon

The Bizon is a fairly well-balanced weapon in Modern Warfare. The high capacity magazine can make this weapon awesome because you do not have to reload as often. It is the main SMG used by Barkov’s Forces in the campaign. The main disadvantage here is going to be the below-average RPM compared to other SMG options.

What makes Bizon awesome:

• The large magazines on this gun are a clear advantage
• 2-5 shots to kill is just above-average
• 97% movement speed is great when you consider you have almost the equivalent amount of ammo to an LMG
• 84 round helical magazine option
• 9mm ammo making it easy to scavenge

• 2.5s reload time
• 97% movement speed

4. UZI

Used by AL-Qatala and The ULF during the campaign. This weapon is very stable and has some strong advantages over other SMGs. The 100% movement speed is very rare but does have the lowest RPM of any SMG.

What makes UZI awesome:

• It has a longer range of potential
• Higher damage profile with 100-200ms TTK
• Highest mobility with 100% movement speed
• Even with the lower RPM, the damage makes up for it
• Headshot multiplier that makes TTK even lower when accurate

• 2-6 Shots to kill
• 590 RPM
• 32 round mag
• 1.5s reload time
• 100% movement speed

3. AUG

This weapon is again used by two separate enemies in the campaign(ULF, Barkov’s Forces), and is a really solid SMG. It has an average/slightly above-average RPM and an option for a 3-round burst. You have two options for ammo with this weapon as well.

What makes AUG awesome:

• Optional 3-round burst
• 750 RPM is slightly above average
• 78ms TTK with headshots
• 250ms ADS speed
• You can put 5.56 NATO rounds to increase range by around 10 meters

AUG details:

• 2-5 shots to kill 
• 750 RPM
• 25 round mag
• 1.57s reload time
• 97% movement speed

2. MP5

I believe the MP5 is one of the best SMGs in this game. It has a very solid RPM and is made better with 98% movement speed making this one of the best quick-play weapons. It also has a 1.6 multiplier for headshots which helps boost TTK.

What makes MP5 awesome:

• 3-6 shots to kill 
• 150ms TTK
• It is an incredibly accurate weapon and has more range than most SMGs
• 200ms ADS speed 
• A 60% ADS Speed is pretty solid

MP5 details:

• 3-6 shots to kill
• 800 RPM
• 30 round mag
• 1.7s reload time
• 98% movement speed

1. MP7

This weapon is number one for many reasons. It has a well-above-average RPM and the recoil of this weapon is very easy to control. The damage profile is slightly lower than some others on this list but again is made up for with the RPM. 99% movement speed is also a significant advantage. 

What makes MP7 awesome:

• 99% movement speed which is the second-highest for SMG
• 950 RPM which is the highest base for SMGs
• Super controllable recoil
• Low reload time at 1.5s
• Higher than average 40 round base mag
• Average damage profile

MP7 details:

• 3-7 shots to kill
• 950 RPM
• 40 round mag
• 1.5s reload time
• 99% movement speed
