Best WoW Hardcore Classic Tips and Tricks

This time classic just got real

What are the best tips in WoW Hardcore classic?

1.  Do Green level quests and dungeons

Who knew the Banshee Queen had such a great leveling area for beginners

1. There is no shame in staying with lower leveled quests and dungeons until you are able to move onto other areas or are partnered with other players like I was with my friend and family to progress with your leveling in the game. I for one took heed to this advice until we moved enough away from said areas to no longer make full use of those quests or dungeons. The best place I felt was the easiest for getting up to level 14 relatively quickly is Tirisfal Glades, home of the Forsaken. There are lots of quests all over the small town of Brill just down a ways from Undercity the Forsaken City.

2. Each quest if done right and carefully will help to gain excellent experience throughout your excursion of Tirisfal Glades the other added bonus while your out there getting experience is you can take        advantage of the use of in game mechanics to help you track down herbs if you do alchemy ore if you do engineering or blacksmithing and for those who have it in my opinion a bit too easy is hide for leather working a lot of quests will make use of areas filled with said reagents for your profession of choice.

3. This also includes the drops found on mobs; some mobs can even drop some pretty decent green armor, something to always keep in mind to help you make your way through each quest and each area needed to get to the recommended higher levels. Again it may seem tedious but done right will make it go by very fast, another thing to make use of but be careful of as well while farming for quests is spawn rates.

4. As stated spawn rates can suddenly spike on you when you least expect it so being careful of this issue really helps to ensure you can not only take advantage of the spawns to finish those quests there by giving you more experience from taking them on to gaining the experience from turning in said quests. The double hit exp combo of working on said quests and turning in said quests will be a huge bonus and benefit to you as you level up.

5. Lastly as stated my personal goal with using Tirisfal Glade is to get yourself high enough for the first of the dungeons Ragefire Chasm just like with Tirisfal Glade Ragefire also provides green armor and experience. The more you keep doing  said dungeon even with the 24 hour cap on the dungeon the experience from the mobs to the experience from the quests that need you to defeat Ragefire to complete them will also help you to get higher levels and with the added bonus of great gear to either use or sell to help you along your journey.

   2. Use it or Lose it

Potions and items are must have in this game

1. As stated, make use of potions, scrolls or items that you loot while on quests or dungeons. One healing potion can make a difference between you surviving to the next part of your quest or even just being able to continue at all or not. I myself was hesitant to use said items for fear I may need them later in the game but it never hurts to put them to use anyways to be on the safe side.

2. The additional support weather by restoring your HP or your mana or even increasing your stats will always be beneficial as my friend has stated several times he’s made full use of the potions he’s either found or had made for him to make it to the next round of fighting mobs.

3. Another consumable to always make use of that I myself had to learn to use is your water as a caster class water helps to restore your mana at a much faster rate and is always a must to make use of while questing or doing dungeons so even if it seems annoying take the time to sit your character down and drink that water and you’ll be back up in no time.

3. Go out of your way For Weapons Upgrades

Never leave your character unprotected

1. One core thing to always keep in mind is never ignore a chance to upgrade and improve your weapons. There are several ways to do this but do it you must. The better your weapons the greater the damage output and therefore the better chance you have at getting to higher levels and in turn higher areas to fight where the chance to get better weapons and gear will happen for free.

2.  The first thing to do is get yourself to your major city whether that is Undercity for the Forsaken Thunderbluff for Taurens or for Orcs and Trolls the Capital City of Orgrimmar and Darnassus for Night Elves and Stormwind for most of the races on the Alliance side. Either way, getting to those places will allow you when you have the funds to look for inexpensive but very helpful weapon upgrades. A pro tip my friend taught me is when you go to the Auction house reverse the cost so you can look at the least expensive ones first.

3. The other method to getting upgrades is via quests or dungeons sometimes a really good one will come up as a reward for finishing even the most mundane of quests so never ignore those chances as they also can help you to get even further to more and more quests and dungeons for better and greater weapon upgrades.

4. Another tip to add is making use of Armor kits they may not be able to cover all your armor but for what they do cover it will be of huge help to you as you progress through the game so never ignore these as a way if only temporary to upgrade your armor as well.

5.  As stated before Dungeons are also a great way to get weapon upgrades. How it happens is entirely up to random luck but if you do see a viable option for a weapon upgrade it never hurts to grab it while you can.

4. Zoom Out

A full view of your surroundings is always helpful

1. Staying in first person kind of works ok for me but I have been told and had it recommended to zoom out to help you stay aware of your surroundings and I do admit it does help.

2. Say you're in the middle of a fight with one mob and all of a sudden a random walk by or pop shows up and you won’t notice if you're not zoomed out to spot him and deal with that random one before they gang up on you and you're left dealing with more than you can handle. And luckily both through the use of a macro and an addon it can be easy to zoom out without having to scroll your middle mouse button over and over.

3. As a way to make it way more efficient for again while zooming out to stay aware of your surroundings does help there will be times when going back to first person is needed.

4. The other benefit to Zoom out is if your a tank for a group or dungeon it helps you to know if a mob is bullying one of your DPS or even worse your healer so you can grab that mobs agro and move the mob away from either individual so they can recover and resume supporting you through the fight.

5.  Casters are Deadly

Best of allies and the worst of enemies

1. Caster types are without a doubt a boon when with you and a bane when against you so keeping this in mind is crucial while fighting mobs each caster type is as varied as the caster class types and as such provide further issues while facing them.

2. For the Alliance side the Defias casters have proven to be the most challenging and unfortunately the death of many because of how difficult it is to take them on.

3. For the Horde side you have Centaurs and other creatures who can keep hammering at you from a distance to take you out forcing you to take them on with a frontal attack just to give yourself a bit of an edge.

4. One core thing to take advantage of with casters is if they can’t get a line of sight of you they can’t hit you with their spells this gives you the time you need to either get away or recover to try another round.

5. Another issue to take note of is caster can also heal, nothing is more annoying than being so close to taking out a mob only for them or one of their allies healing them forcing you to start over or worse run out of mana before you can completely finish them off.

6.  Turn on Enemy NamePlate

Knowing the names of your foes has never been more helpful

1. If there is one thing you need to avoid at all costs is getting caught by surprise having an enemies name plot up which is visible even through objects or landscapes can help prepare for when an enemy is coming to either avoid it or engage it before it takes you on.

2. The other bonus to go with the nameplate is an addon that not only shows you the nameplate but lets you know how close you are to said name plate I had a situation myself where me and my friend and family were out doing a group quest and all of a sudden the Addon alert went off and just in time for we were trying to locate the Elite Mob and he got up behind someone caught unaware and took them out before they knew what hit them.

3. It is extremely imperative to be careful for just this reason if an Elite or Rare spawn happens and you don’t see it or are alerted of its presence you could walk or have them walk right up to you and take you out. The Elite I’m referring to was at least several levels higher than us and instantly one shot us down as well. It is for that reason keeping the addon and the nameplate on will help you know when that one the said spawn is up and where that said spawn is before they can come at you.

7. Spend Your Money Wisely

Spend your money take your chances

1. One thing that will be heavily crucial in the game is your silver and eventually your gold so keeping tabs on it is extremely vital and making sure to keep your funds from dropping too low is essential to progressing in the game.

2. For one part of preserving your money spells/skills as you progress through the game your skills will grow in price as you get higher and higher in levels so keep an eye on which ones you will most likely make use of first and get  the less immediately useful ones later. Naturally if it is a spell that can’t be used at all like say the Druids Rebirth spell just ignore it since you can’t revive in hardcore wasting money on it would be pointless

3. The other key point to bare in mind with your money is to use the auction houses wisely reverse the cost so it is from least expensive to most if you can't find a weapon or armor within your price range wait and again make sure it never taps you out to where you have to work to get your money back up again.

4. One other area to bear in mind with money is your profession. Depending on the profession you pursue you will need to have money set aside for reagents such as empty vials for alchemy or thread for tailoring and leather work or a pickaxe for mining for blacksmithing and engineering. All your professions will have you using up money as well so spend accordingly when you can and don’t hesitate to throw a few of your completed works if they are no longer of any use to you into the Auction House to earn back some of the money you used to get to where your profession is at.

5. Another thing to help you is add ons they can help you figure out what you can hold onto and what is just vendor fodder not only will this help you with your inventory but also with your money as well.

6.  Another pro tip I learned that works is your request rewards if the rewards aren’t going to help you upgrade your character. Go for the most expensive one and turn around and either put it into the Auction house or sell it to a vendor. Same can be used with any of your extra reagents if say you're an herbalist and have extra stacks of silver leaf with how easy it is to get ahold of throwing those into the Auction house will also be a huge Help.

7.  One final thing to keep in mind as well as your reagents is your food and water for keeping you stocked on mana and HP during dungeon runs to help offset the cost of this is to train your cooking profession. You can easily get the meat with the beginning animals and mobs and get your cooking high enough that you can reduce how much you spend on food. Another good tip to consider is if you're with a mage have them summon your water to help with your mana but make sure to bear in mind that when you log off that water will disappear as well.

8. Buy Bags Early

The bane of every Warcraft Player ever

1. One thing you will learn very quickly is your inventory is something to always keep an eye on you will have lots of quests that require you to have items on hand to turn in for those said quests which eats up room for potions, scrolls to help you during said quests and additional if not needed items for helping you to acquire more funds.

2. Another issue is your profession will eat up alot of room in your inventory as well so having enough bags to hold all these items is very crucial luckily you can get your small brown bags for five silver if you sell enough vender fodder to get up to ten silver thats two bags for you to get started with.

3. Another great way to help with this is if you choose or have a friend who chose tailoring or leatherworking they can make you satchels that can help you to hold more items. If one of these professions isn’t available check the auction house using the least expensive cost method to buy the best for the least amount of money.

4. Another great tip to keep in mind is herbalists can save up for a herb pouch so you can put all your herbs in it and leave the rest of your inventory for the rest of your items. Making full use of tips like this will ensure you never wind up with a full inventory and therefore have no room for when you really need it again for say a quest turn in or even worse have great armor or gear and can’t loot it because you have no room and are forced to throw things away to make room.

9. Always have an escape route

Evasive manuvers!

1. One rule of this game is things will always happen and a situation can go south on you quickly whether the fight turns in the mobs favor or just as you took out on you get hit with a hyper spawn and you have another spawn right on top of the first mob. Either way or other situations will surface and as such it's important to have an escape route. Every class in Wow has one or two ways to get themselves out of danger. Making use of these methods can truly help you get out of danger to fight another round.

2. Most classes have a slow or speed up skill to get them out of trouble if you start to feel overwhelmed make use of them if you have to until you get far enough away to lose agro or if you're close to a town get the guards nearby to help you take them out for you.

3. Pay attention to your surroundings as stated before you might trigger a hyper spawn where the same mob or mobs you just took out are there all over again if this happens and you're not up for another round back away recover and try again.

4. There is Addon’s to help you out with navigating this situation as well one add on allows you to know that certain mobs that are rares and therefore stronger or even more higher level then you are likely to show up in that area if it doesn’t look like its a fight you can take on get out and move away.

5. One Add-on that worked alongside paying attention sets off an alert warning to tell you that mobs called Elites are nearby. If this happens back out and go around sometimes if you make use of the Nameplate system you can tell when an Elite is nearby so you can avoid them entirely. Either way keeping a safe distance will be truly helpful with situations like this. I myself was lucky that an Elite spawned and he was far enough away that me and my friends could avoid him. So keep this in mind while out adventuring all it takes is one surprise to many and you're down and out.

10. Caves are Dangerous

Worst way to go Death by Cave

1. One thing to be careful of that also goes along with having an escape route is Caves and underground tunnels. There is no easier way to find yourself overwhelmed than being in either of these areas. As such these tips can help you with these areas to avoid the death trap they provide.

2. Make use of your mini map even in the tunnel or cave your map will shift so you can see inside it making use of it even zooming in if you have to so make sure you know where you are going to make your way through and eventually out of the area will help to avoid trouble.

3. Never get yourself boxed as stated before hyper spawns can happen so helping to avoid getting boxed in where you can’t get yourself out is something to take care of hug the cave or tunnel walls to get away from them if you have to.

4. If you are in a class that makes use of pets, be careful of how you navigate the path patterns of caves and tunnels. If you misjudge a pattern you could wind up with an entire horde of monsters on you because your pet dragged them along without you realizing it before it was too late.

5. Only venture in at a pace you can handle there is no shame in ducking out if you have hit a limit and need a break Never leave your character in there it is the fastest way to get taken out if you have to retreat go back to the nearby camp said cave or tunnel was used for it will be safer that way.

6. Don’t be afraid to piggyback on another person being nearby most likely they will be doing the quest with you and if you need help nine times out of ten a fellow player will help you whittle them down let them. It may cost you money or exp but it's worth it to stay alive and avoid being overwhelmed.

11. Stop Runaways

No escapees allowed

1. Another thing to ALWAYS make sure of is never let a mob get away from you it's not just a rule for Hardcore its a rule for any MMORPG like it that has similar setups. Nothing is worse than having one mob run away from you and come back with friends to gang up on you while you're low on HP/ Mana to take on so many at once.

2.  Best methods for this is if your class type has a way to slow enemies down like Druids with their root or hunters with their sticky traps or mages with their freeze spell. Also melee classes also have a way depending on how you look for it most skills have some way to stun a mob giving you the window needed to take them out.

3. Another good tactic to use is to keep up on your attack to make sure they can’t get away. A rule of thumb is the lower their HP gets the slower they also get by default so continuing to attack them will ensure that the runaway stays put long enough to be defeated.

4. Fortunately I”ve noticed it seems to be largely the humanoid mobs who run away. I've yet to fully confirm it but it does seem like undeads don’t try to run away in Hardcore as they also do in another MMORPG. So keep watch over your mobs and memorize how they act. You'll eventually get familiar with how each mob functions to know which ones will run and which ones won’t. Again if they start to run make sure they don’t get far.

12. Never Turn Your back on an Enemy

Only expose your back to dead mobs

1. Just as you can stun a mob when it's running away from you with its back turned the same rule applies to yourself there for always back away facing the enemy before you turn your back to them.

2. It is a good habit to have a method to stun your target: put some distance between you before turning your back to the target or they will land a stun on you and slow you down and thus give them the edge on yourself.

3. A prime example is in one situation where twice in fact it went south and the mobs overwhelmed my friend and family member as such I was the only one left and had to make it out so I kept facing them backing away spammed my heal over time and got a safe distance the first time I got myself back to a village with guards.

4. Another tactic to use if you can is when you have a pocket where no mobs are around you hearth away the zoning will kill any and all aggro on you thus allowing you the means to get out of the situation safely if you can’t just keep a safe distance and get yourself to a safer area weather that's at the boundary walls of the zone or in a high spot mobs can’t reach.

13. Multiple Attack Problems

Several Hits too many

1. Again, as with yourself and the class you choose, certain mobs can also come at you with similar abilities; one such ability to be wary of is the attack called Thrash; this move allows its caster to attack you multiple times.

2. Many classes have a way to help around this situation similar to stopping them from running away stunning them stops them from casting as it stops you from casting.

3. Another tactic to use is reducing their attack strength in any way you can. Doing this can also help make such a flurry of attacks less effective and give you a chance to endure long enough to take them out.

4. If all else fails and it looks like it's not a fight worth engaging then bypass it or wait till you have enough people to help you get through thrash users safely.

14. Don’t Be a Hero

Being a hero only gets you so far in this game

1. In Hardcore the very nature of the game forces you to never rush and never be reckless as stated already about the two wipes I experienced but never had is a prime example.

2. Always get out if it looks like you can’t handle it, never stick around beyond more than what you can handle. As the saying goes, he who fights and runs away lives to fight another day.

3. This is the golden rule of this game, that is not to say that you should let it get to you if it happens but it is greatly reduced so long as you don’t rush in or take on more than you can handle.

4. As an addition to this every aspect of how the system is set up for this play style makes it easier to take it at a pace to help you ensure you make it to the next round of playing. So again never take on more than you truly need to even when you are gathering reagents for your professions use lower level areas to start with and keep using them until you are comfortable with the next area.

15. Choose your class wisely

So many choices to be had

1. One of the biggest factors to this game is finding your style even in a class, not just what class but what style of that class you feel you can do and enjoy the most. With such a large selection to choose from and in turn sub categories to go with feeling for what would best suit you that you could truly see yourself enjoying all the way through will help you find your flow in this game.

2. As stated you have your Tank types like the Warriors Paladins Sub tanks like Druids and Shamans Melee DPS like Rogues Hunters and yes Druids again. After that you have magic DPS of Mages, Warlocks and Druids. And finally your healers of Priest Paladins Druids and Shamans. Each one as shown with the druid alone have sub categories that allow them to fulfill more than one role. This also helps to decide what method works for you.

3. Rule of thumb for Crowd Controllers is Warlocks and Mages Warlocks have a strong streak of getting to the end of Hardcore but as with anything one mistake can unravel all that work something to bear in mind with any choice. Same for Mages they can mow down or get mowed down in turn if not prepared and careful with how they handle mobs and dungeons.

4. Hunters maintain a nice steady streak of getting to the end because they are good at surviving most conditions but again that all depends on how well you can play this class. I myself when I First started World of Warcraft started as a Hunter and did decently but the build never felt right to me. Now here I am with a class I”ve always shined best in and it’s been a lot of fun for me.

5. Another good choice is the healer class why, because there will never come a day when healers are never needed whether that’s in groups or in dungeons they are always needed and by default help set the pace for the group or dungeons to follow but you must also keep the group informed. If you need to rest let them know as I said there are several healer types who can offset if the main one needs to take a break and recharge. The only snag is depending on how the group goes it can get methodic and a bit boring but if that is the playstyle that suits you go for it.

16. Grouping Works Best

Safety in numbers is a big help

1. As the saying goes there is always strength in numbers. My friend tried to get into Hardcore by himself but when we joined him after the first few failed attempts it definitely helped to plug up the holes he was lacking to get through quests and such at a much better pace.

2. There will be times where working solo will be best over being in groups some quests certainly showcase where which is easier but working together even if separately assures that even if you have to work it alone you can still work together by keeping each other healed and covered making sure you don’t wind up overwhelmed by mobs and such.

3. On the other hand some group themed quests and dungeons really help you to shine best and get experience great gear and further progress through the game by default. Overall working together not only helps to speed up the process it also makes it more fun and better able to get through quests and such safer without the unnecessary risks of trying to do it on your own.

17. Use Add Ons

Every game always has room for some tweaks

1. Like with any game as great as they are there is always room for tweaks or as we in the gaming community like to call them Mods and Addons. Additional pieces and setups to a game to make it way more fun and way more effective.

2. I’ve already stated before how one Addon I’ve made use of alerts me of Elites in the area so I know to be careful and I’m not kidding on how it's truly saved me from walking head long into those Elites and kept me safe. The addon UnitScanner has kept me safe from numerous run-ins with Elites as well as let me know when I was close so as to be ready if I wanted to take it on or just simply walk around it.

3. Another good one is the Addon called Questie with this Addon it makes doing quests far more efficient and better they show you on the map where you can find quests and when you get them where to go to complete those quests even class specific ones. I will say I had a tiny snag with it a few times but other than that it’s been a really big help to me getting quests done.

4. Another semi decent one is called Rested XP. This one helps you navigate the game if you’re totally new and have no idea where to start. You decide how you wish to level and the add-on helps you with it. While I am a veteran to the game, I still found it quite helpful to navigate areas even I had not yet explored before thus proving to be quite helpful in getting started.

5. TSM or Tradeskill Master has been quite helpful, even my family and friends were impressed with how it worked to help me know what I need for my alchemy and where things stood level wise even kept them tiered based off of Level rank. As I was starting out everything was peach meaning it was difficult but manageable as I got better and better it would go from peach to yellow mainly the potions higher up in the list while the lower ones went from yellow to green and eventually gray telling me it would be of no further help in terms of leveling but I could still make them as much as I wanted for anyone else who needed them.

6. A very useful one that I’ve thoroughly made use of is What’s Training? It adds a question mark to your spellbook or Skill Book and it lets you know what is coming up and when the next round of spells or skills are ready to be obtained and even help you to plan ahead. On which ones you want to have and are not bothered with saving for later or don’t even need at all. Best example for me is the spell Rebirth, obviously that spell would serve me no purpose in a Game based on the rule of Eternal Reset so not wasting money on such a spell would be very helpful.

18. Bank Toon

A clever use of alt characters

1. This was an idea my friend came up with and I agree it is a HUGE help in the game to make a character that we call a bank toon. This toon is the one you use to hold additional bags, ingredients, tools, potions and so on.

2. By making this character you can put away all your extras and keep them safe if the worst should happen and you have to reset your character your not completely at square one similar to how if you saved your progress on a project for school or work if you had a backup of that project you won’t lose everything and have to start over.

3. Another great way this toon can help you is if your main is too far away you can have this toon be your go between in guilds groups or among your friends to be the liaison to get items gear or even money to whoever needs it.

4. So over all it is heavily advised to anyone playing Hardcore set up a bank toon to hold your extra items you don’t want to risk losing with this toon and that way it will be nice and safe for you.

19. Learning Crafting Recipes

Recipes are the skills and spells of any character

1. Just like with your spells and skills it is vital to keep up to date with your recipes in not just your professions but even with your casual professions. The Three casuals First AId Cooking and Fishing may not look like much when compared to the Major Professions but as I myself found out you will need fishing for your Alchemy to learn how to make certain potions and guess what? I had to get my fishing high enough just to get the fish I needed. See what I mean by needed?

2. Another thing about recipes is not all recipes are given to you as you get up in level with your skills, most of them the Journeymen or Expert will sell them to you while others are random drops on mobs and thus most likely found in the Auction House by those who don’t have that profession.

3. Keeping up to date with your chosen Profession not only helps to keep you skills up to date but also helps you get experience with those said recipes. Plus as another example some other professions may call upon you to help them with a part of their profession like I needed to make an agility potion for my friend to use in his enchanting and I had that recipe on hand to make for him but if he needed a higher level one I didn’t have it with me. So making sure to find or buy would be helpful later on.

4. There you have it keep up to date with your profession as you do with your skills or spells never leave your profession in the dust always keep it at the pace of the rest of your skills plus the more you learn to make the more you can not only help yourself and you group or guild but you can turn around and sell which is another plus.

20. Explore and Discover

Exploring Everything is a Golden Rule to live by

1. As said before, while I’m quite familiar with World of Warcraft I never played Horde before now and it's a unique experience as a whole getting around Orgrimmar. For one I still have trouble figuring that city out.

2. Getting familiar with The Barrens, Mulgore and even Undercity and Tirisfal Glades has been an experience but a very helpful and rewarding one. It also helped with my profession Herbalism to know what areas could help me with what herbs I needed and how best to make use of those areas for my profession.

3. One example is Tirisfal Glades. All you need to do is walk around in a circle around the map with your profession's gathering icon active. You can see when you are near an herb for me or an ore for those who need it for Engineering and Blacksmithing. I’ve stacked up on plenty of the herbs I need in that area to my hearts content thanks to exploring the area and knowing how to navigate it.

4. The Barrens was another good one for the next level of quests, exploring and learning how that area worked. Knowing how each part worked and where to go to know the lay of the land also helped so exploring where you go for quests and dungeons and yes for your professions will always help you in the long run.

21. Utilize Hearthstone Wisely

WoW's best and most thought provoking item

1. One tool to use carefully is your Hearthstone not only as a way to get away from danger but in general uses as well. As you progress through the game you will see just how widespread and sporadic the layout can get. Making use of each area accordingly will help you to navigate each area and how you wish to go from there.

2. First thing to take into account is depending on the size of the area your in can help you navigate which ones will have an inn and which ones won’t keeping the distance between your inn you bind yourself to to the other areas will help you cut down on distance and not having a place to go if you need to rest or leave the game.

3. Another thing to bear in mind with your Hearthstone is if you are within the range to get your spells or skills for the next round after you level up to get them. As a Druid the places I can go to get my spells are limited but the game thought of that issue and gave us two areas to go to for that but as a result I have to be careful of how to use my hearthstone the stone has an hour cool down rendering it useless if I have to use it elsewhere.

4. It is because of the one hour cool down you have to truly decide when where and how to use your hearthstone for buying skills traversing the area or when you need to take a break for real life reasons or need to empty out your inventory to continue quests or even to turn in said quests.

5. It is because of the one hour cool down you have to truly decide when where and how to use your hearthstone for buying skills traversing the area or when you need to take a break for real life reasons or need to empty out your inventory to continue quests or even to turn in said quests

22. Join a Guild

If a group is good guilds are even better

1. Like with groups joining a guild is also just as helpful with playing Hardcore classic for it gives you people to help you when you need it. Whether you need someone to help you with a dungeon or if you need advice on what to do, a guild is a really helpful place to go to for answers or help with any situation in the game.

2. The other perk to guilds is they like to come together in raids which are always a lot of fun. Coming together in one large force to team up against some big named World Boss of Warcraft is always a lot of fun and rewarding, something to also keep in mind.

3. Overall having a fun but decent guild to join is always a nice helpful plus and adds to the experience to the game everyone can enjoy. I will advise you to be careful of who you choose. I have been spammed with invites right off the bat by bots set up for just that reason. So don’t just jump into the first guild, you get an invite to take your time and really decide when you are ready.

23. Learn Enemy Abilities

Always know what your up against

1. Just as it's important to know the world you play in and the class you choose knowing your enemies is just as important knowing how to handle each enemy that comes at you is vital to helping you survive all the way to level 60 in Hardcore Classic.

2. Each enemy has a set up and style that is quite similar to the class styles, something to keep an eye on as you play. You have your Tanks, your DPS and your Healer types.

3. For Tanks they always charge in at you so take advantage of this to help you take them out quickly and effectively be aware of what works against them and what doesn't.

4. For DPS like the Hunter Mage or Warlock they will also like to attack you from a distance so unless you can overpower them with your own ranged attacks double up with melee and your ranged attacks using this is a great way to get them out of the way easily.

5. For Healers types don’t let them heal themselves. It is a tried and true method with enemies for them to try and exhaust your mana by healing themselves. And essentially start the fight all over again with you at the disadvantage if you can still get them taken out in time go for it if not bail out. Again taking risks is the easiest way to get your character a permadeath so don’t take that risk if you don’t have to.

6. Another thing to bear in mind is types some enemies are type based, be they Elemental Undead and so on as such certain skills will be rendered useless against them forcing you to lean more heavily on another skill to take them out. RageFire Chasm has several enemies who are fire elemental based meaning my nature themed spells won’t work because I am essentially attacking them with forest or wood themed spells which obviously a fire element would be immunized against. In contrast if you were taking on Undead and had a priest or Paladin with you their holy magic would obviously be heavily effective against them because of the theme their magic is based off of. So again learn each enemy as you go and you will better understand them.

24. Learn About Class Quests

Every Class gets to shine even down to their personal quests

1. It's not just about the regular quest you do but each class has quests specific to them that will help you to progress throughout the game. Always take the time to do those quests and never hesitate to ask for help to do them if need be.

2. Each reward for doing your class base quest is always a special but core skill to help your class in the areas they need it and to help them find the right balance and set up for them as they continue throughout the game.

3. I as a druid found out myself that a druid could get a level ten bear form instead of waiting for the higher level  bear form and it turned out thanks to finding out so late I had over the level needed to do the quest but in turn I had a great way to help tank and off tank for my class so it proved worth it to go back and complete it.

4. My family member was playing a Shaman and to get further with his class had to do various quests to unlock various element themes to his skills so he could make full use of his class and not have it hindered.

5. Another one was the Warlock. They have to do a quest to obtain their Voidstalker pet, a very useful pet to obtain, so again another quest worth it to help you progress further into the game. And there are so much more so again every class has quests and rewards to benefit that class so it is very worth it to go and complete them when you can and again ask for help if you need it your group guilds and your friends are always able to help when they can after all.

25. Enjoy The Game

A game by it's very nature is supposed to be fun and enjoyed

1. No matter what a game is still a Game and for all the challenges Hardcore Classic provides there is no doubt in my mind that with its rules that make you take the game a sedate pace curbs the grievers and allows you to truly enjoy the game at its roots with this challenging setup will ensure everyone gets to enjoy the game as they wish to.

2. As I’ve said already Playing a Horde character is something I’ve never truly done before but I can say that playing my Tauren Druid has been a lot of fun and certainly been rewarding comfortable and enjoyable I have no regrets with enjoying this game since they launched Hardcore Classic I eagerly await anything else they come up with for Classic and hope they do more like this.

3. I also encourage anyone to give Hardcore Classic a try if they want to again not rush and take your time to truly enjoy this classic iconic game and hopefully with these tips and tricks and an entire community to help you, any and all questions will be answered to help you navigate this game and help you enjoy it even more.
