Top 11 Graveyard Keeper Best Food

Nearly every task you do in Graveyard Keeper uses energy, from planting crops and working with corpses to fighting monsters. This energy depletion is important to take note of as players can’t complete their tasks with low to no energy. Aside from sleeping, which regenerates energy as time passes, eating food and drinks is a great way to get back your energy levels without sacrificing precious in-game time. As well, a lot of dishes provide players with special buff effects. This article will go over some of the best foods in Graveyard Keeper to cook and eat.

There are three ways to cook food: at the Cooking Table, the Oven, and over a Bonfire. The Cooking Table and Oven are already available at the start of the game; there is no need to unlock or craft them. The only thing that has to be unlocked, which happens gradually in the early game, is the food recipes. The Cooking Table mostly prepares food that can be used to cook more complicated dishes, such as cutting raw meat into slices and creating dough for bread. There are a few “cold” dishes that can be made at the Cooking Table and eaten straight away.

The Oven is where the bulk of the dishes are made, and it requires fuel to be used, either wooden sticks, firewood, or coal. The oven prepares the food in real-time seconds instead of in-game time, which is fine because most food takes seconds to cook. Some food can be cooked in batches, saving players from needing to cook one dish at a time. There are also dishes that can be crafted at quality levels, which are needed for some quests as well as providing more energy when consumed.

Bonfires are found all over the village, with one directly to the left of the graveyard keeper’s home. This is a unique cooking workspace as it cooks only two types of food. Just like the Oven, it needs fuel before being able to be used. It only takes wood materials as fuel.

The last thing to be aware of is that making food costs energy too, and while the oven does not consume any, the fuel it runs on can take a lot of energy to make. Now, without further ado, this article will discuss what the best foods are in Graveyard Keeper and what makes them great.
