About - Lisa Stump: Lisa has been writing and editing professionally for twenty years, and has been gaming since her dad picked her up and put her into a chair in front of a Commodore 64 at the age of five. She grew up playing Gumshoe and Paperboy on NES, FFIII (before it was VI on PlayStation) and Super Mario RPG on SNES, and puzzling over the design choices of the N64 controller. She cried when Aeris died, learned about Aerith, and started over, hoping to save her. It didn't work. Lisa holds a BA in English, an MFA in Curriculum Design, and a handful of certifications for graphic design, UX, and UI design. She's a sucker for a beautifully designed menu in a game, and loves writing about and discussing historical foundations of gaming, as nothing exists in a vacuum. Yellow exclamation marks, anyone? Her favorite genres are management, strategy, base-building, and MMOs. She's played World of Warcraft on and off like a bad boyfriend since 2005, and loves trying crazy builds in Dwarf Fortress and Oxygen Not Included.
